The air bag is your lungs and body. The crumple zone is your legs. Fortunately, you can hardly go fast enough to get in too many bad accidents..
I wonder how people managed in those times their trips? "Only" 40 l tank and 10 l fuel consumption. We are waiting for our fuel consumption "expert" opinion!

Has that VW T2 got a misfire? It sounds a little odd. Also how is this a test drive? You didn't show the view whilst driving it. Very good video quality and sound though!

Hippie ride
The hippies drove the earlier VW Bus with the split windshield. Many of them were also hand painted on the outside with art work and peace signs.
