In today’s video I’m going to be showing you how simple it is to remove the radio on your Toyota Corolla. I hope this helps out #toyota #corolla #radio #diy
This is very helpful but where do you find a new one? Mine stopped working about a month ago; an endless loop of it appearing to reboot. The dealer wants about $1,500 to replace with a refurbished model.
Do I have to put in same one? I'm guessing we don't get to put an old one in. I have an '03 system that kicks butt and I can't stand complicated and distracting lit screens.
@@nessag6471 so basically you need a new radio. Theres no fixing to this issue :( a lot of people said we should put complaints so Toyota makes a recall but so far all you can do is change the whole radio. Or take it to the dealer for them to do it but the radio is 2k plus installation
hi I have this same in my car but the frequency which I want I cannot its scanning only in odd sequence for instance its 106.2 which I require but when tuning or scanning it never shows the frequency only scans 106.1 or 106.3
So replacing the head unit with your favorite brand, how does that effect all the setting on the one coming with the car. Example, fuel log and other settings?
Please let me know what they did to solve it, when I went to Toyota they simply said “it must be replaced at YOUR cost, yes a “reliable” car company telling me to replace a 6 year old radio at my cost. And the customer service representative said “well technology breaks, sorry!”. You could imagine how upset I am after buying what is supposed to be a “reliable” car. It feels like I’m driving a Jeep made by fiat, (my father who drives an older Jeep has not had any issues like this). Appalling from a company that “stands” by its products.
@@spencerlincoln2428 I’m appalled as well and gave Toyota a piece of my mind. I’ve own many other “brands” of vehicles but I’ve been loyal to Toyota for 30+ years. I bought my car due to the dependability, safety and low maintenance. I’ve read that many Toyota owners are having the same problem with their car radio. It’s as if they are in bed with the car warranty people.
The fact that so many people are having the same problem and Toyota doesn’t care. The cars are reliable on the road. They have longevity they last for very long time but the simple stereo system doesn’t even last 6 years??
I have same audio system but most of the channels are not scanning like 106.1 its catching but 106.2 it is not 89.1 catching 89.2 not catching what's the issue please do let me know 89.1 89.3 89.5 89.7 in odd sequence its scanning and omitting the even number sequence please let me know what is the problem
I’ve been told, you need to replace with the same radio due to it affecting other electronics in the car. To replace it with an “upgrade” would require a modification installation kit. I hesitate to spend money on a subpar product. I thought all it needed was a system update.
This is super helpful, I had my screen go out on mine and had no idea how simple it would be. Thank you very much for the video!

Excelente video, very informative
WoaaH CooL ThX!!
Awesome video! After the installation does the radio need to be reprogrammed by the dealer?
Thank you for this DIY 😁👍
Are one of those cables behind the radio the Bluetooth module? Cause I keep getting that error message when I try turning on my Bluetooth.

Where is the best place to buy a new replacement radio?

Ebay may have some. 1factoryradio has some units too and will help you make sure you have the right model number before you buy it looks like.

Did you figure it out??? Mine is that same screen he has after plugging the new screen
Wont log or anything 😭
Any update on this ? Mine has been stuck for 4 days.

Turned the car on while the cables were removed now have an airbag light on. Any ways to fix that?
Does your car have a back up camera??
If it did,does it work??
Please let me know thanks.
Yeah I think it would work. You just plug the existing camera wire
Where can I get that tool to remove it?

Please email Toyota about this problem so they will do something about it

You can get the even numbers in Europe that runs off of the 100-kilohertz, but, not in the USA, which runs off of the 200-kilohertz
Me I gave up. I use the one on the steering wheel
