If you're a detailing enthusiast or hobbyist and you're getting customers, then you'll most likely recommend the type of services that you want to perform.
Which isn't bad, but you need to be focused on what the customer wants and what their goals are. You don't need to push on a 2-step paint correction (buff and polish) if they're prepping the car for sale.
Maybe they'll just want a wash and wax, a good interior cleaning, and that's all. Find out what their goal is and then suggest the best options for them.
You'll have a better success rate as opposed to if you give them the type of service that you want.
Remember, it's what they want and need, not what you want and need.

What if u dont want to just wash and do interiors though? I enjoy paint correction but would not just wash cars.
Big line between a paint correction guy that knows what he does and a car washer too.
If you can sell the service, do it. The point I'm trying to make is if all they want is a interior detail, and you're trying to give them paint correction, there's reason you're not getting the sell.. Because you're trying to fit a circle peg into a square
