  • @bfgaming2624
    @bfgaming2624 Před 3 lety +321

    I always start with the interior. My reasoning being when you wash the outside first the ground around the car is wet so your shoes get wet then if you do the interior you end up with your wet shoes on the carpets etc, or have to try cleaning with your feet hanging out the door which isn't the easiest. Just my way of doing it 👍

      I'd do the outside first most the time... Where i first worked to start a lot of the customers cars would be parked on a dirt area... The water would wash dirt off my shoes, then when i do the interior i would be able to vacuum up any dirt/water... Pro tip, have a wet & dry vacuum if you can

    Great vid! For me interior first always. Don't like kneeling at the side of the car vaccuming the carpets whilst the floor is wet

    Another great video again Dave.
    I've detailed a few cars now, and I feel like I'm struggling with the interiors, I did exactly as you have, but the door cards look the same after I've cleaned them, there's scuffs and marks that I just cannot shift

      Was the brush too soft? Sometimes mud can take few attempts in the plastic grooves

      It was a autofinesse feather tip interior brush, thanks for replying 👍🏻

    I agree with you not using brushed used on the floor on the steering wheel or other hand controls. I saw a person on CZcams cleaning a car and using the hoover (vacuum) with a brush on the floor then afterwards on the centre console and steering wheel. Imagine all the dog shit germs on the wheel 💩

    loving these videos, so firstly exterior first as it’s weather dependent. I can do the interior in the garage. Question on yum interior, does it leave a matt finish ?

    • @epicautomotivedetailing
      @epicautomotivedetailing  Před 2 lety

      It's not like an interior detailer so best way to describe it is a matte clean finish. No dressing as such

    Thought provoking Dave .... must get 'some of that yum' that you keep referring to also. I do exterior first BTW, but do the rear, middle, front fragmentation thing like you. The power drill referencing has got my mind working overtime as well (I am thinking your version of Christian Bale in 'American Psycho' on a car or similar .....) Imagine re shooting the films business card 'one up man ship' scene but with power washers and in a valeting context ..... LOL

      lol Christian Bale. I need to be creative with that video... Majority agree with you on exterior first mate. Yeah Yum interior is brilliant, works as a safe leather cleaner, trim cleaner and fabric. Its unbelievable

    I don't have a garage so all my detailing is done outside therefore I do the interior first. If I start the exterior first by the time I finish the interior the car has already collected dust. interior first, shot the doors and go at it.

    One of the best apc is bilt hamber surfex hd. Awesome product. Can be used on anything and everything. 5 litres at just over £20.

    Thanks for the information you are sharing with us out there. Can I use multi-purpose-cleaner for interior detailing. How about a water-based-degreaser?
    Thanks

    • @epicautomotivedetailing
      @epicautomotivedetailing  Před 2 lety

      I've used many cleaners and product's. Bilt hamber surface hd was cheap but awful on the interior in testing. To be honest Poundland do a product called the pink stuff which was ok for people on a budget
