NFTs are the biggest scam on the planet.
i mean they aren’t inherently scams, but 99% of the time they are used for scamming people.
Especially when they are ensconced with social justice garbage like this idiot was pitching. Totally worthless.
@@JacoblBroughton exactly this. It's literally the same as any piece of art - the value is based on interest, scarcity, hype, excitement etc etc.
Yes they are. Fake, made-up prices for trash pics that mean nothing in the real world
What would you expect from people like Kevin and Mark... I'm not saying the other sharks are clean but atleast not in outright scams

The timing of them releasing this episode after Kevin’s “involvement” with FTX is hilarious
Daymond said he thinks NFT's are gonna be around forever, and that he doesn't really understand them all in the same breath.

Absolutely
@@josethomas7309 Stop daydreaming, yes it is.
So the Mona lisa is a scam. Come on guy get realz.
LMAO Daymon saying "NFTs will be around forever, everyone will own them" is really funny today
The only people who benefitted from NFTs were the ones who knew it was a scam and capitalized early. It was a market driven by famous athletes, celebrities and influences and they cashed out their NFTs at ridiculous profits using their influence to push the market knowing it was a scam
I'm curious where people like you first heard / read that NFTs were a scam
Like where was that idea incepted, if you can actually remember it would be super valuable
From the look on her face and the reluctance with which she “accepted” the “deal”, I am very sure they didn’t go through with it after she walked out! She got her publicity
Why she give him the social justice ball 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cuz he from hood
It bugs me when the entrepreneurs claim they have a “mission”, when their mission is to make money.
How does this valuation even make any sense. 250k for 3% with only 500k sales I’m surprised none of the sharks called her out on that.
bc nft involved😂
My eyes can't roll any farther back. Ugh.
By January, 2023, the deal with Kevin never closed.
Barbara:My old bones can't handle playing sports and for that reason I'm out
@Neo Anderson I don't 😭😭 this was my first comment about her💀💀
Marks yay at the end 😂
"that's not enough for me to get out of bed" the most used line haha
Strange that Marks bullshit and scam detector did not go off, but I got it when he later said he was invested in NFTs
And funny to see Kevin talk like that before we knew his man is going to jail XD
It's probably because of Kevin's involvement in the NFT space
her face everytime someone went out 😵😵💫
Damon always gets the token black item 😂
Always lmfaoooooo
someone should have called her out on NFT's. It's just a huge scam, and the sharks should have known better. Expected mark to call it a scam like he did with other pitches.
From what I've heard him say, Cuban seems to be on the NFT train
It’s art. How is art a scam? You either like it or you don’t.
Mark Cuban was a huge shill for NFTs and Crypto... hes pretty damn quiet about it these days
I have an NFT that lets me get $30 in food every single month, not sure how that's a scam.
@@scarygary5678 now anyone can make an NFT and that usually turns out to be a scam thus no more credibility unlike before
I’m surprised she took the deal. Anyone asking for 3% is looking for tv exposure, not a deal. I think we all knew she was only going to bump up to 5%. Again, not wanting a deal. I’m curious to see if they actually make the deal when all is said and done. I like the product.
always better to take the deal on tv and back out of it before it finalizes.
Not necessarily, 250k for 3% is 8.3 million valuation, there are plenty of people who come in with a 10 million valuation who clearly want a deal
@@mohammedyakub3760 The overall value isn’t what turns the Sharks off, it is the percentage they get. In general, 5% and below are looking more for Shark Tank advertising than snagging a Shark. Only owning 3-5% makes it difficult to make your investment worth it, as your return is such a small percentage, and those giving the pitch know this. However, if one bit for that low of a percentage, they would obviously take it.
@FunMe While I don’t have the numbers from the show to back it up, I feel certain that those offering 5% and below get a deal much less often. Those offering above 5% tend to be more flexible when it comes to making a deal. The Sharks themselves have mentioned the tactic. That said, we only see 5-10 minutes of what are much longer pitches, so editing could very much make the pitch look different than it was actually presented.

"Shut up and play" is a great idea
It's so amazing to me that a digital product company is losing money. Makes no sense at all
You obviously havent watched the full video or haven't understood what the business model is: its not a digital product company, the digital product is one part of the business model, 90% of sales came from physical goods being sold as she said.
@@tomasjancovic2378 he just wanted to hate on NFTs he didn’t care how he did it

I bet her business went belly up by now😂📉.
"You said NFT and thereby told me you're running a Pyramid scheme, and for that reason, I'm out."
That was the least excited I’ve ever heard mark when someone got a deal. He’s usually the first to say congratulations this time he just hit her with a sad “yay”
Her product and pitch was so confusing. Terrible.
I thought the same lol
Here's the problem with NFTs, the technology behind them isn't a scam, but the way they're being used is. A celebrity making an image and selling copies of that image for thousands of dollars is the scam.
Yeah that’s the problem it’s not secured. People can go in and out on a whim.
I was hoping she wouldn't get a single deal
First time ive felt the same. She def knows how scummy nft's are and she was hoping to cash in before shes made.
There's something about her. I don't believe a single word that comes out of her mouth. Why would someone buy a "special" basketball ball?
The shark tank community is always propping Mark up for being privy to scams and alerting consumers to stay away. Yet he said nothing here about the extremely speculative nature of NFT’s and crypto in general. Why? Because he’s invested in them. He doesn’t care about consumer safety, he cares about coming off as smart, and making money.
Attention entrepreneurs: don’t be surprised when Lori goes immediately out on a sports-related company
Bitcoin - Virtual Nothing
Dollars - Paper backed by nothing
Tether - Virtual coins representing Dollars backed by Bitcoin
NFTs -
I would've preferred the same executive approach with a concept that has a clearer revenue model. Also, if she is so good, she should've been able to get several known athletes to show up with her at the pitch and/or discuss signed deals from her former employers.
Never seen Kevin going down especially when he is the only shark left
Sad to see that no one immediately declared themselves out when she said NFT but hey, at least we know none of the sharks have an ounce of integrity now.
Well the physical sales make the most of the revenue and it's clear that, physical is the main focus is the company. They probably just created that part just for the people that want to have one
Dont idolize anyone. Everyone folds eventually
They're called sharks for a reason. They love it when someone negotiates competently to get the fairest deal possible, but if you don't, they'll squeeze you for all they can without remorse. Some are worse about it than others, and some won't in certain situations, but they've all done it at one point or another. NFTs align with that mentality: if someone is willing to part with their money, the sharks will happily assist them with that.
Some NFTs are securities and can give investment returns, so I would wait to hear the pitch before declaring myself out.
Mr wonderful was involved in the recent FTX scam
Yeah just what I wanted... a jpeg of a basketball. I think Im gunna go right click on it.
Why's a scam artist on shark tank promoting NFTs??
I remember watching this when it aired. As much as I like the entrepreneur, sadly NFTs don't have any value. Wonder how the company is doing now?
Unfortunately you need to do your research
@@BigOdog everyone does, but nft's are a scam market with no real value naturally. Its very obvious how shes doing. Even if shes succeeded small time, it wont last.
@@BigOdog Do NFTs have any value aside from basically the same value as a piece of art? I cant wait till crypto/NFTs are dead in 5 years
How can anyone like this comment? It´s so stupid and coming mostly from people who are well un-educated about crypto space in general. NFTs are VERY very risky, that´s true though. Mostly older people doesn´t get it.
99.9% of NFts are worthless but in 5-10 years nfts will be much more relevant than they are today
Considering governments around the world are adopting and regulating crypto, this will never happen.
@@wendklenff133 I think it’s cause Shark Tank has an older audience. The same people that need their kids to change the HDMI on the TV, think they know enough to talk about cryptocurrency 🙄

Cant find that. Looks like they are still alive, but worth even less than when this pitch was happening.
I remember Elon Musk in a podcast said something like “if you find proliferations of buzzword in a business proposal, run away as fast as you can”. This business reeks with those buzzwords
The irony of Elon warning people about scams 😂
What does Mark mean to say when he said "All her investors get a discount to the next round" @10:17
“Social justice” lmfao
Victor Chaos taught me everything I need to know about NFTs.
I remember when artists tried to sell nfts and act like it was hidden content. Then within 24 hours it all appeared in CZcams and SoundCloud lmaoo

Of course, Kevin loves the NFTs and scams.
The deal never closed and of course NFTs didn’t quite catch on as Mr Wonderful thought.
When all Sharks are out and you have only one offer left of which you dearly need, it amazes me how these owners can be so damn stingy with their equity, when you're already starting off with such an insulting 3% !!! My Lord!
So basically this is just another episode of Daymond just spewing out random words for the sake of talking and not actually saying anything lmao
One of the worst ideas on shark tank, this buissness will not last and continue to burn money.
She doesn’t deserve a deal, for as credible as she is
All of you saying that NFTs are dead don’t know what your talking about and just letting the media speak for you. Learn these things on your own. And mark my words in the future you’ll regret not paying more attention
I'll check back on this comment in 4 years to laugh at it.
2024 and I am still laughing at how people thought NFTs were going to be such valuable things of nothing

Give Kevin 12% until he recoups 750k, 3 times investment, and then it drops to 3% with a 2% bonus of every NFT sold
She would keep equity. Kevin would make 3 times his money and still get a royalty
The fact that people even thought nfts would be successful is mind-blowing. Literally just a scam.
Good game to the investor
“I feel like nfts are gonna be around forever, everybody is gonna own one” so far that belief ain’t aging well 😂
He's gonna lose money on that deal and he deserves it for investing in such crap
Lori your neck bling is stunning.
Damon’s take on NFTs is hilarious. Most of the people selling NFTs knew they wouldn’t be around long 😂 The fact that anyone fell for it is insane. Not surprised Kevin was pushing them and I’m sure he got out just in time.

They cheaped out on marks basketball with a few small colored lines🙄🙄🙄
Lori didn't like her ping pong paddle🤣🤣🤣
ya don't need the big company for any of that, a big named celebrity or star can already pay a marketing firm to do the same, and an artist can approach talent and do as well, no need for middle service
I agree Basically ripping off the sports players only giving them 10 percent for just basically a custom ball that “represents” a phony cause on their back but really is just $$$ (the sports players could just realease a custom item themselves get much more than weak 10 percent)
Never hated a company more to date lol using the terms community for nft for drops” and events” lmao cmon bro.
I remember being part of NBA topshots discord , and the amount of people that would brag about dropping THOUSANDS of dollars on NFTS just to see them become worth like 15 bucks is unreal . Truly a modern day scam I hope somebody makes a documentary on them one day
Thats so beautiful deal !!✨🤍
As soon as she mentioned NFTs, I went “I hate it and I hate her”
