After having my 2g JellyFish Art nano tank and Jellys for about a year and a half I decided it was time to upgrade to the new larger 5g model! I added a few more jellys from Jelllys to make a total of 6 which look amazing in the tank! Moon Jellyfish are one of the easier types of jellys to keep and a great starter jelly.

gzruztit jgzods5i that sounds like most things in life :P
This is totally what I feel.
I probably needed to see this comment lol
I agree
Yep
u genuinely look so happy talking about your jellyfish aw
saltwater things make me happy :)
It’s so wholesome
Now I REALLY want to get jellies of my own. Thank you so much for doing this, since there aren’t many jellyfish care and tank setup videos out there at the moment!
WaterSpriite you are most welcome :)
I want a fucking jelly
This is awesome, and props for keeping the jellies for 1.5 years!
Thanks! I'm half curious to see how old I can get them :P
They live for 15 months
@@ReefDudes update?
Thank you without videos like these probably the first few jellyfish I got would have died luckily I haven’t lost any so far.
This is really fun for the aquatic community. This is such a new and daunting concept of having jellyfish!
They are pretty cool to keep! Kind of like a living lava lamp! The harshest part is making brine shrimp which isn’t to bad :)
I am getting the nano tank and I am really excited for it. I want to get 2 small jellies, thanks for posting this!
So amazing ! Really enjoyed this video Thanks for sharing Dev!
Thanks Lisa! much appreciated :)
Looks great!! Thanks for posting!
these videos are great. :) i think I might buy some of my own, keep up the great work!
Thanks for the view of the water tester that was generally cool to get a view of what the inside would look like 👍
Can't wait to get one of these! Been eyeing it for a solid year but has taken backseat to other non-essential expenses 😅
great info!
jellyfish are so cool.
Could you put video on cleaning tank day or/and weekly as my Jellies do have a lot of left overs :/ and detailed instruction on their feeding?
Great video Dev👍 I really want to get one of these tanks thanks for sharing this with us
Your most welcome buds! They are pretty awesome pets :D
Great looking tank man!
Thanks! I love it too! looks sleek! :)
What a great tank! I never thought people could actually keep jellies...👍💪🤘 Great Vid
They are surprisingly easy!
@@ReefDudes I was told it’s high maintenance. Daily water changes, feeding them throughout the day and keeping the temperature on point or could die.
Awesome job! Thank you Sir!
Love the jelly fish tank👍 My wife wants you to set up a seahorse tank so you can teach her (actually me) how to set one up and care for them lol.
I have debated seahorses too haha was going to do one a year or two ago but couldn't find any dwarf seahorses so ended up doing Jellys instead :)
Great, now I have to get this!
hahah you will love it!
Perfect! Thanks!
I didn’t know these existed. Pretty cool.
Its like a living lava lamp! very relaxing to watch !
They look so real!
It is!
Cuz they are real lol
I think Im gonna try it. I'll keep you posted with the new project!🤙🏻
Awesome! good luck! :D
@Jose Morey any updates?
Great video,keep it up!🐬
Thank you!
Yo these are popular now but good they’re so pretty 🤩
Awesome :-) I want to save up for them and make sure they live in luxury
I had a jellyfish art tank about 10 years ago now.. Probably one of their first models (the round one). It was almost impossible to keep up with the water levels.. I'm hoping that some advancements have been made. Maybe the larger tank is the saving grace here. I spent a lot of my week back then trying to keep things balanced.. but it was a losing game. All of my jellies shrank down to the size of a penny and vanished. I hope the company has made this product more viable in 2023.
Maaan! Now I want one! Didnt know thia exist!
hahaah Happy to inspire! They are pretty awesome to watch :)
Thank you!
That Tee shirt at 9min, so funny :)
The video was really good, i didn't even want to skip (hehe ;) :) )
Hahah Thanks Aqua Splendor! That shirt cracked me up to! I got it form facebook.com/jellyfishaquariumcanada/
Awesome, thx for the link !
Putting that in my bookmark !
Super sweet
Thanks! :D
I'm getting Moon jelly fish but I'm just a tad bit confused how to change the water so they don't have much problems
I so want to buy my own jellyfish !!😍
Your videos are extremely informative and fun! I'm hoping to invest in my own kit soon. If you end up doing a giveaway with the old setup, I'd have my fingers crossed!
When do you usually need to do water change?
This is what I need! I'm from the Philippines and would love to have the cylinder and nano jellyfish. However, I dunno where to start. Hope you can help me! I love this video! 😍
How do you clean the tank, and also how do you do a water change.
How do you get the water to permintate the jellyfish?
Loved the entire video!
But one question please!
From everything I’ve learned, I’ve always been told to never mix the bag water and tank water.
Is this only pertinent when you already have fish in your tank? Thank you so much for your help!
Maybe it’s to late to say this but: If you have a cycled tank with fish of any kind you do not put the water from wherever you bought your fish or whatever you’re adding reason of that is because that water may contain parasites or other bacteria from sick fish as you never know how fish are taken care of also it is recommended to have a quarantine tank to not add the new fish right away as the same thing they might be sick and spread what they have, it is recommended to have them there for couple weeks
What do you do if the power goes out?
I have an identical fireplace, white brick and all, I think that's a clear sign that I must buy this
Impeccable logic hahah
I have bubbles on the wall of table how to get rid ?
How do you lower ammonia levels? Our tank was set up for two months, and our amonia peaked last night. The jellies are still doing fine, eating and pulsating fine. But I know they’d do better in cleaner water. We did a 45% water change last night. Still the same readings. :(
Do those jellyfish sting? Thank you for the video!!
Great video! I just bought the Nano 3 and have a very basic but important question. Once the water has been added and you need to leave for 2-3 weeks for the bacteria to grow should the pump be on or off?
Gareth Hopkins leave the pump on. 3-4 weeks of running will help it establish itself
Muito legal adorei uma pena que não existe aqui no Brasil para vender
Hi how many Gallons is that tank in the back ? With the beautiful fish 🐟
So the jelly bio starter says it speeds up cycling so that it only takes a few days. Would it still be recommended to wait 2-3 weeks even with that in mind?
Hey devin , saw that at reef a palooza .. cool to see it up and running. I think you said you do your own brine shrimp hatching , how time consuming is that? And do you feed everyday?Just curious due to not always home.. I do have phytoplankton going and have found that very simple, actually have to much lol. Would like to start doing some Pods soon. Anyway I digress looking good, and look forward to some updates
Not sure about the brine hatching, but he did mention in the video that he feeds them just one small scoop every 5 days or so
I get my jellyfish tomorrow but noticed a ton of particles floating in the tank and at the bottom how can I clean that before they get here ?
Soo can I feed them phytoplankton? Or do I have to do live brine shrimp?? Or copepods all the time?? And how often do you feed??
thanks
What type of tank is this on the website linked in the description I see 4 different selections
.....................................Like for you....amazing acquarium
hey dude thanks for making this video. Looks like a lot of work, are there any other options that isnt salt water?
Nope
Great video. How many brine shrimp do you feed them and how often?
Feed daily, brine shrimp hatchery dish every 4-5 days
what plant is that
This video was posted on my birthday
Where do I find the Tank in white ? I’m only being directed to the black Thanx in advance
Amazing! So beautiful! Excellent and informative video. Are jellyfish beginner friendly?
Wolf Gardiner I find them pretty easy and low maintenance. The hardest part is hatching the love baby brine with takes 4-5 minutest every 4-5 days. So it’s really not bad at all. Aside from that I give t a little water change every week or two. Pretty easy :)
@@ReefDudes Thank you for the reply and info. Will research and look into them.
What is the price of this tank and where did you buy it?
How u feed them?
Thanks for the video!! Is it possible to have a jelly tank with live plants? I haven't seen many videos (none really), and I'm a huge plant nerd lol
Jellyfish are very delicate so you dont really want anything in there that they could bump into.,
how much did u spend on this including the jellies?
I got the Jelly’s but they have sold out of the aquarium for a while now
How much does that cost?
How you feed them , I just got his tank . Do you have a video of that. I have those eggs that came with it and the hatcher. Can you please guide.
Thank you
Do you have the hobby ring hatcher?
Put the eggs in the out side ring. They will swim To the middle (to the light)
How long did they live for?
Hi, I had questions about keeping my aquarium.
Despite what the description said on Amazon said about my salinity meter, it doesn't measure ppt, it measures ppm, however, I've found contradictory information over what ppm means. I thought it meant parts per million, but is that really accurate?
The other problem is that I cycled the tank with blue-legged hermit crabs. But I haven't ever changed the water since then even though I plan to before I actually get a jellyfish to test things out, and I'm afraid that maybe that won't be enough, and that the crabs' shells may also be dangerous to the jellyfish. Should I put them somewhere else?
How much did it cost?
if you don't have any aquarium and limited experience, would you still recommend going with this or starting with something else?
Sir hello this AQ
Jelly fish aquarium from where you buy can you give me add
If you still have these you should do an update video!
Can you keep comb jellies in that system?
Yep, I don’t see why not. They are fairly small so it should work.
I have a question. The link for the fish tank sells their tanks as kits, along with the accessories mentioned in this video and also includes jellyfish. What do you do with the jellyfish if you have to let the tank cycle for two weeks?
They don’t sent the jelly fish until your tank is set up and has been running cycles for two weeks
I am such a sucker. I'll buy the thing just to have a jellyfish projected on my ceiling, then put sandwich bags in it or something. Beautiful? Yes. Lazy? Also yes.
Lol less maintenance!
Questions here man,
How you handle the top off? You need to do water changes, and how often? How often they need to be fed? Thanks in advance!
Ill add those to the next video. It gets very litle evaporation. water changes I used to a tiny one every feeding but not its every few weeks or when i clean the glass (acrylic) i shut of flow, wipe the walls.. let it settle.. suck it out, replace water. Feeding daily with baby brine shrimp
I am pretty sure you said you were moving your 2 jellyfish you had into their penthouse. What happened to those 2 jellyfish?
Hi
I’ve been trying to find information on jellyfish and sound, are they sensitive to low frequency noise,
I was thinking of buying a tank for a music studio,
I was thinking of a coral tank too, could you give me some information please, I play edm so a lot of repetitive bass, I’ve always wanted a tank in there but I know I can’t put fish in it for it would torture them and I can’t find information on jellyfish or coral, so if you read this any information would be appreciated,
First time here and will subscribe and 👍
Thanks
Jonny
I can't answer this as an expert on care or anything but Biologically Speaking, Jellyfish don't have Ear's so the only reason Sounds would bother them is if you were somehow playing music that was at a Resonant frequency with their Bodies, in which case they would....blow up. But as far as i know that's extremely hard to do and you'd basically have to do it on purpose. They are 95% water so they should be fine with roughly any sounds since they lack a Brain and Ear's.
For regular Fish, i don't think it'll bother them much, most Fish don't have ear's and if they do they don't function the same as our's because Water Density makes Sounds travel differently along with decreasing the range that the Sound can travel. In addition if you did have really loud music playing next to them, they would probably just assume the Earth is shaking or something similar and ignore it. The only aquatic species i can imagine Sound being an issue is Octopus.
When you use the Brine Shrimp eggs and put them in the hatcher what water do you use the water from your tank or no?
I used new salt water I suppose you could use tank water too
What kind of aquarium is that in the back with the lights hanging on top
Custom tank :)
Cooled up extension cords overheat and cause fires a lot more that you think
If your drawing too much power for the gauge of the cord then yes it can heat up.. everything in this systems is extremely low power! its essentially a led light and an air pump.
Love the jellyfish t-shirt. Where did you get it?
jellyfishaquarium.ca/shop/Jelly-Swag-c29240617
Thanks
How much does the kit cost on jellyfish art?
They are all
Sold out and I can’t see the price ahaha
1400$+ I think
330 for the cheapest one
I'm thinking about starting a jelly tank, but I have some question i hope you can answer for me. Do you keep the flow of the water on or off during the 2-3 weeks before the jellyfish arrive? And do you advise to make your own reverse osmosis water with help of an osmosis installation or do you advise to just buy it? (PS: love your account!)
Thank you! Yes keep the flow on form day one! you dont want stagnate water. I have always used RODI as its "pure" and which means less change of random chemicals, chlorines, nutrients ect making into your tank. also helps prevent algae.
Would love to get some more advice! Got the newest Cylinder 5 this week for my birthday, and have watched this video nearly 29 times haha! They didn’t provide salt for the brine shrimp, and there isn’t really good directions as to what to do next. We mixed the water, used the hydrometer and got the water to the right levels, but now do we add the bio starter? You already had cycled water, we are starting from scratch... that’s where I’m getting confused. Do we need the brine shrimp before we get the jellies to create the nitrates? Clearly, we need some expert advice. Would love to hear from ya! 🤙🏽
Happy birthday! yes add your cycle media to the tank. Brine shrimp are for feeding the jellys so dont start hatching them until you get your jellies :)
ReefDudes thanks brother! So that should be it for several weeks now? We wait? also, we may have gotten the salinity correct, but there seems to be a build up of salt on the bottom of the tank. It’s not much, but enough to catch our eye. Is this okay? Or should we get it out?
Are you rinsing all the the supplies with tap water? I thought the chlorine in the water will hurt them
Rodi water.
Only tank my wife has ever been excited over.
Thats awesome if she is! Everyone loves to watch the Jelly tank!
What kind of tank do you prefer for someone starting out?
Sorry I forgot to add also, which type of jellyfish you you prefer for beginners as well as the type of tank?
Moon Jellyfish are prob the easiest ones to start with. As long as you feed Freshly hatched baby brine and keep your tank clean they should thrive. As for tanks the JellyFishArt tanks are the only ones i have actually used to keep Jellys in. amzn.to/2UVCmpW
ReefDudes thank you!
Is the water just circulating from the bubble system?
Yep, there is a little chamber where the bubbles up life and that force causes it to overflow into the tank and make a circular flow pattern in the tank.
Does the LED light affect water temp?
Greg Bolts not enough to worry about. If it did it would be very slight
Not sure if ur still active. But when buying the jelly fish kit its said to come with jellyfish how. What am I supposed to do with the jellyfish wile it cycles? Or do they come shipped separately
They ship the jellys a few weeks later so you have time to cycle your tank
is it hard to keep them alive ? what about for a complete beginner ? is it any more maint. then a regular aquarium?
I give it far less maintenance than my reef tank. I think they are pretty easy to keep. give them good water and nutritious food and they will be happy for a long time!
Great videos. I'm curious about what you like about the 5 gallon versus 2 gallon tank? Curious if there are things you like about the 2 gallon better? What do you think are the most important factors to consider between these two tanks? Do you like the flow or movement of the Jellies more in the 5 g or 2g?
The 5G is the same Flow style, its just bigger. Only real big difference is there is 2 air uplift columns in the back so you can control the flow in the tank and through the filtration a little more separately where the 2g is all in one. Both great tanks! You can fit more jellys in the big one! hehe.. it really depends what fits best in your space.
Can I mix the salt water inside the tank or do I need to do it in a 5 gal bucket like u did?
if its your first time in the tank is fine.. if you have jelly fish in there do it in a bucket first
How could I make a custom cylinder tank for jellyfish, I already have a 6 gallon cylinder tank but how do I make it good for jellyfish
Like the flow and all that
Is it possible to get jellyfish in middle Europe?
