Fun fact - in original Mafia 2002 czech version he was called William Wickets for some reason,in remake it's Gates.

I'm glad Bill Gates survived in this one.

This Mission was one of my favorite in the original I like they added Carlo more in this game instead of using him for only 1 mission gives more deph to his character.
Also like how Bill Gates has changest.

Redoing the soundtrack was a huge mistake. The truck chase sequence was waaaaaaaaaay better with You Run Your Mouth by Louis Jordan
1000000% agree, there must’ve been some copyright issues but redoing the music was bad.
If this game is set during the prohibition era, they could’ve had Capone in the game as a cameo,. It’d be so cool.
They mention him in the storyline; thinks he’s in prison at this time, haha

They removed a hat from a Tommy gun guy and remove suit from a shotgun guy.
There is another different except bill/gates, in original, we kill em all these ambusher. In Remake, we escort the truck to the exit from ambusher

Ennio Sallieri character wasn't well written as thought he would be as his the boss of the gang and he organises everything. He is very straight forward and doesn't give us how would to say it... immersion of his character who is the boss of the gang but good enough as we don't spent much time with him exept cutscenes.
In the game and irl the head of Italian gangs sets up the bigger and biggest deals but when your in the gang its up to you to make the money and be a good earner otherwise you will not make much besides the minimum from the bosses payroll
Sooo damn good and slick to drive in this game and l LOVE IT
I particularly like the 3rd person camera. Other games have a very lazy chase cam that doesn't actively look into corners.

I know it’s a long shot, but given that gates is already from the south, they could’ve switched it so that Gates was from New Bordeaux and one of his bodyguards was a young Sammy Robinson.
This mission took place in 1933. Sammy Robinson was born in 1919. I don’t think Gates would hire a 14 year old boy as armed security.
After you finish this remake, how about you try the classic Battlefront games.
