The voice acting, graphics and animations are brilliant in this game. There was a real amount of love and care put into this remake and it more than did the original game justice. I’ve been critical of Hangar 13 in the past but what they did with this remake has restored some faith that they’re capable of making a truly great Mafia game.
Cutscenes and graphics don’t make a game. Gameplay is terrible
@@le4-677 why are you gay?
Poor Salieri, they could have at least let him finish his wine.
XD
And poor Pepe too.
They could atleast finish the wins cafonis!
Fetuso manco il vino mi sono bevuto!
Don Morello you MONSTER!!
11:59 salieri runs in the most badass way
Lmao
Lmaooooo
He's running like he's got something stuck up his ass 😂
Dude's running like he really needs 2 take a 💩
He looks like he's holding in a shit
11:29
Pay attention here, Tommy. Salieri is giving away the ending! XD
I like the new Salieri. His acting is like one of the best here
I miss the old one
He's so good!
Honestly the old Salieri suits better.
@@sushitoyota3191 lmao i just said my opinion
So true
Salieri: Drunks are sloppy.
Also Salieri: Let me finish my goddamn wine.
But he is the Don
He's drinking the wine as part of the meal as opposed to drinking for fun like how Tommy and the boys do after jobs
9:44 Nice moves Tommy.
6:45 historical scene.
@Marsel Ongker exactly.
8:04 “Blow them all down, Tommy. Not one of them goes home tonight.”
I fucking love that line
damnnn.. those expressions of salieri
5:24 Salierri: What’s on the menu today?
Pepe: *MY MOTHER* 😭🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Or it could be your mom
"Blow them all down, Tommy. Not one of them goes home tonight." -Don Salieri
The sound effects of the gunfight cutscene are simply incredible.
My Dad watched me played the whole game and after completing it, he said to me that it reminds him of watching The Godfather movie.
@@zacharyskellington5356 your dad is badass
@Press Start
Thanks.
Wait...ah the classic scenario of a mob boss having a war with another boss. Man, hope Salieri's lunch is eatable..
Its one thing to attack the Don but to attack him during his lunch break? Rival neighborhoods would dwindle.
I like that Salieri faces the window this time around. Never made sense in the original that he had his back to an open window.
During the restaurant being burned, it gives me one of those Mafia 3 memories of Lincoln being betrayed by the mob after doing their dirty work.
Please don't mention mafia 3 it's an insult to the series
In original game, Salieri looked and acted like a wierd uncle, not your typical mob boss. This game makes him look and act more like mob boss.
The lighting in this game ; soundtracks ; graphics ; acting and..... are bloody amazing ! I really hope they make story expansions for this game and dlc's . This game has so much potential and 2k can make more money
yeah play as young don salierie
Anyone else feel sorry for Carlo?
Didn’t even get a chance to plead his case with Salieri before he got head stomped
If you go to Ralphie in the next mission he will say that he'll miss Carlo
I finally was able to play this after 18 years of wanting to. This was by far one of the best set of games I have played in years. This and 2 are by far my favorites. I’m still playing 3 and opening up to it. The score, script, graphics, all of it is purely magic.
11:23
(foreshadowing)
Damn that's actually good
10:11 that gun dropping sound, I swear I heard it in some Source Engine related games like HL2/CSS/CSGO
Lmao
That restaurant shooting scene is so well done! But I feel sorry for Pepe he dies in the remake
EDIT: Rewatching it, it was just some poor old guy who looked similar. So Pepe still lives
Wait, i though he still alive. Just like in original mafia 1
They threw a granade in the restarount and set it on fire after they shot it up with tommy guns. Even if he tried going through the back there was morellos men there too.
And it was the last straw to start war.
15:44 teachers when a kid laughs in class
Lol and thats why we voted about them not having guns 🤣 😂
lmaooo
Lol
@@victormarine1397 Yah, cops are far more patient with kids than teachers.
@@victormarine1397 haha got me dead wit laughter 🤦🏻♂️😐😐😐😐😐
That attitude with all the Italian restaurant is what I like about the Mafia Family.
6:48. I’m getting the St Valentine’s Day Massacre vibes.
My man the effect and sound are amazing
Pepé sounded like a nice guy, glad he didn’t die, I think.
He still alive. He’s ok now.
Don Morello's voice actor here in the remake was voiced by the same man who voiced Karol from Midnight Club Los Angeles (2008)
he was voice by saul stein
And Morello looks like him
Such Godfather vibes! They need to remake Scarface next. It was a great game, but had a lot of gameplay issues. Plus, when I was in middle school, kids were wearing jackets and tees with Tony on them, but I'm not sure if kids today even know about the movie.
Scarface was an awesome game. I use to play the hell out of it on PS2. If they remade it with this kind of love and care that would be awesome I'd buy it.
@@MOGMirros It was so satisfying having an alternative end for Tony! And it was pretty realistic in some ways. Get shot just a few times, you're dead. The wanted level was especially impressive. Having a limited time to escape before the SWAT is called, that makes rampages close to impossible, IMO.
imagine a mafia game with elements of scarface set in the late 70s and 80s 🥴
@@FOA89019 That's actually on my want list for a Mafia V! Set in the '80s with Scarface and Miami Vice vibes.
@@claudewinchester7068 this mission actually gives me vibes of the murder of Gambino boss Paul Castellano who was assassinated outside his favorite restaurant by John Gotti.
I like this mission because it show us that salieri is no different from morello
David Sharma he talks about how morello is a hot head who can’t think straight when he’s crossed. Then he stomps a cave into Carlos skull. Salieri is a hypocrite
actually he is better than him he just makes a traitor pay for breaking rules
Loved how they build up Morello’s & salieri’s characters & I think the remake is cover alot of puzzles in the story but I wish they can give more about Don Peppone & the whole story of it all I ❤️ morello’s character even though he has a short analog they build up his character alot so calculated ❤️ it,
Rumors says mafia 4 may be just that
They had the balls to disturb someone's date, what a jerk
Love the intensity in this mission
In the original, you kill Carlo and his neighbors instead of chasing him down throughout the alleyway, and it was Morello that informed Sergio first.
in the original after being caught by tommy and Salieri Carlo along with his neighbors decided to kill Tommy. But now in the remake instead of trying to kill Tommy Carlo decided to run away from Tommy and trying to get some help.
Am I the only one who likes the way Morello is in the remake?
You're not alone, bro. I like rhe new Morello too. I also think he mocap Lincoln Clay from Mafia 3 judging on his body on this game.
I like in this version Morello Mobsters seems do now who you are and in the remake they dont even now about you also cool that Tommy is a Capo in this version.
PS I like the Outro screendid you make it?
The whole remake has so much more depth than the original! :) Even the sub-story of Tommy drinking too much (probably due to the life's stresses) and being told to stop. Nice touch.
My GFX designer made the outro for me. :)
I think he just rules some rackets ,that's it,when Salieri say capo,he is talking about himself.
* Nostalgia Intensifies *
Ah ha ha, Willzyyy! The gameplay video is a masterpiece, as always.
There even a Pizzeria below Carlos apartment. Hangar 13 went all put on the detail.
True that. Though I do wonder why they decided to move Carlo's place from Little Italy to Hoboken (Holbrook in DE).
@@5476Himselfthey moved a lot of stuff around just to mix it up a bit. There’s a lot of places in the old game you never really see because there’s no reason to go there.
I love this chapter, the gangster aura is in there when they assault the pepe's restaurant.
A Mk. II Grenade in a game set years before WW2. That's the stuff!
The Mk. II was already issued to US troops at the tail end of WWI.
Mk.II grenades were made years before WW2
@Kelven Freitas 1935, during WW2? What did I hear...
They were introduced in 1918
Best remake of mafia series 👍
5:11 12:15 same woman (model)

Pepe @ 6:49: I live
Pepe @ 6:52: I die
That’s not Pepe.

What's on the menu today - "My mother... she would be so honored.." Say what?
This is a masterpiece. Best remake of a game. Not like gta san andreas. Bearly any difference.

Good mission.I.watched full missions few days ago.
How does Salieri know what Carlo is doing? 10:22

The best Remake ever despite the development of this game being rushed, it was great.
Tommy become a Caporegime!! That's so cool!
Mafia (2002) tommy is a soldier for the full game and mafia definitive tommy is a capo that is so trash

So Salieri and Morello killed Don Peppone? WTF
Yep
That’s the mob life. Can’t trust nobody 100%.
That is what criminals mean when they talk about loyalty.
They cheat each other all the time.
Yes❤
So what is the betting house mission..... I know the other 2 but what is that?
What the title soundtrack moment Salieri hit carlo?
7:51 Nice self-deprecation. But why didn't he pack an M27 like the original (at least the shotgun is cool)?
Probably being unarmed.
Bon Appetide remember Song Katy Perry lol kkkk !
10:12 Sound from CS GO?
Same sound libraries
yurrrr
6:41 UH OH!!
In ps2 this game is 80% driving
Wait, what betting house is Tommy talking about?
2:09 What does Tom mean when he says "with both barrels?" Is it like with a double barrelled shotgun?
Why the chapter title is Intermezzo?
Intermezzo is the Norman & Tommy's scene. The mission is Bon Appetit. The OG did that to help us distinguish the present and the past
@@KiraVu6786 Oh. I almost think the mission was named Intermezzo
@@jutlog yea it meant intermission
there's also a scene with maguire and father james in mafia 3 everytime you finish a racket mission and a story mission
The 'intermezzo' (sitting with the porkie in the booth) Tom says: "it's not like Morrello did anything that'd start a war" - OK rewind to the last clip. You had dozens of Morrello's soldiers dying just to stop a hooch shipment. I mean. Come on! that's war. and like 2 cop cars outside. If this weren't fiction action. The question arises: HOW DOES MORELLO HAVE an ENDLESS SHIPMENT OF MEN willing to die for him and Salieri has 5 invicible guys. He even refers to Tom as Capo in the leadup to this mission. But where's Tom's men? Salieri can recruit 5 top teir guys but he can't find any soldiers willing to at least be goons? I love the action game aspect but the amount of bodies leading up to this mission is insane!
If Morello was losing dozens of ppl you'd think he would've put hits out to sneak kill Tom and the few Salieri ppl in their homes or whilst they're alone. I was thinking after the last mission that - if Morello had sent half the ppl he sent to that car garage after Salieri he could've taken the whole Family out from their base of operations.
And I get it. "It's just a game."
15:30
You ever wonder why the scenes are too different from the original?
Its a Remake so only the plot is same :)
The game is so good the only thing i hate is that how fast the weapon aims from a cover it just kills the good vibe
I wonder what Carlo head looked like after it was a watermelon
Free beatings from salieri 12:21
I hate how they paint Tommy as a saint. Won't deal drugs and refuses to drive drunk. The guy's supposed to be a gangster, not a *****.
Well the story starts off with cooperating with the cops to turn rat.
but it's explicitly stated here that Saliri himself wants him to cut the booze, and it's also Saliri's decision not to deal drugs. it's stated early in the game when Tommy joins the family

Because Tommy need moralle to kill him

I think Pepe is much better in this version.
This very submissive and fearful behavior is more realistic towards a mafia boss.

Tommy's voice doesn't fit his appearance. Voice is too 'street' for his rather refined look
That's Andrew Bongiorno's face and voice. So Tommy's voice fit his appearance perfectly.
