11:57 Which panel member would be the best assistant for Stevie? - Sport
Stevie is wrong, Chelsea went after European places at the end and got there. Dan is right on this one.
Steve is increasingly intolerable. His analysis is becoming nonsensical and outdated. The younger pundits are doing a much better job.
Dan completely destroyed himđ
How did Stevie become a pundit in ESPN. How does Stevie not understand what Dan is saying??? Finally, what did Chelsea do to Stevie to hate them so much?
@AjsoliderFLASH3192-tb5mn oh. I now understand. He is so pained!!
How short are peopleâs memories? McKenna was openly mocked at United previously by the players when he was an assistant under Ole.
Honestly yes ppl do have short memories but the biggest assure is that the toxicity at United and they need a stronger personality as part of the clean out.
To be fair wasnât him but American assistant of Ralph Ragnick Chris Armas
â@@Lioness_UTVHe isn't ready for the united job who say tenhag is leaving it us the media that is saying he is leaving man united never put out the fired him so get a life
So what? Many successful people were mocked before they were successful.
@@kimi3421 The point is those players have no respect for McKenna. In football, respect means a lot. How on earth are you going to be successful if the players that you rely upon to perform on the pitch do not respect and follow your instructions?
It doesn't count? Those five games are what got Chelsea to Europe next season
Conference calls on Microsoft Teams
Even as a united fan, I do agree that Chelsea gave a European push at the end that was impđ
Chelsea gonna play in europa conference. Spurs and Man U will play in europa league.
What part of Europe?
@ballercert - europa conference was added a few years back. It is the 3rd tier league after champions league and europa league.
As a United fan, it would be a giant mistake if McKenna takes the United job. Look at Potter for instant, joined Chelsea and failed miserably. I understand itâs a great opportunity but I believe he needs more time to mould his managerial career.
Calm down lad the only way McKenna coaches united is in FIFAđ . Ten Hag is always a redâ€
@@Thegoodbadson letâs hope youâre right, so long INEOS donât give the assurance Ten Hag is the man, the existing speculation is pointing McKenna as the next man in charge.
@@Thegoodbadson letâs hope youâre right. so long INEOS donât clearly states that Ten Hag is still the man for the job, every manager possible will be linked with United.
â@@SamChiang11why do they need to say that. Ten hag has a contract with united untill next season.
@@SamChiang11 McKenna worked at spurs and united for 7 years heâs been around Jose heâs managed the first team sessions which makes him comfortable working with egos and world class players potter on the other hand came to Brighton and Swansea whoâs the best player heâs coached? Lewis dunk itâs not even a comparison
Dan top 5 instigator walking this Earth
I know it's great isn't it đ
I love Dan and especially he gives back to Stevie and rightly so!!
he's so annoying sometimes
Top 3
Might just be top 3 tbh and Iâm here for it
Ten Hag just hit the HATÂŁRS With sweet chin music with a 18 & 19 years old like he is SHAWN MICHAELđđ„
My MANAGERđŸđȘâ€ïž
He's just a sexy Hag. Sexy Hag! Lol
Believe me or not but his tactics are of mid table team , he will come up good against teams pressing high ...bdw congrats on winning the FAs
@@Mersey0810 Yeah let's just forget his work at Ajax. He is flexible in his tactics it just depends on the players he has available and the opposition. Although over a season he tries to implement a general tactic.
FA cup is not a one match competition
Dan is absolutely right about the argument đŻ
My god Nicol to prove a point just say the point multiple times đ
Dan exposing a bitter old stevie nicol
All Dan exposed, was his lack of knowledge.
Dan is wack. Stevie is him.
What stevie said was right. Chelsea won matches at a time were there was not to much at the line.
Exactly!!
â@@myp0hthis is tru, but had they lost the games that "didn't matter", they would have been slated. It seems some clubs are in a lose-lose situation.
The guys are right but for Arsenal fans all that hype and nothing won is a failure. But they have CL football which counts for a lot more than the europa league...but in that sense they haven't achieved more than Villa.
Between Arsenal and Utd, of course Stevie will choose arsenal. Otherwise he admits Liverpool season is rubbish too đđđ
You say being 2nd is better than winning trophies? You are out of your mind. And that too playing 3 finals and winning 2 trophies in two years. Not good enough
Omg, these two so called pundits are so full of S! Theyâre telling me they wouldnât take an FA Cup and that Arsenal fans should feel happier about this season? GTFO here!
Why is Stevie talking about Utd, he hates the club, now the FA cup doesnt matter lol
Fa cup matters most when a PL team below 7th position wins it. These pundits, aka clowns, probably don't understand it.
Dan and Kenny smith probably the best instigators in sports history đ
The hate for united is actually hilarious đđ these guys are so biased it's just obvious
FA cup finals donât matter Stevie? Is that what happened against Wimbledon?
well actually m8 the fa cup was far more relevent back then than it is these days I do not care who you support you have to accept that really đ€ I was listening to pundits like chris sutton saying that m utd winning the fa cup final vs m city on saturday afternoon was on a par with wigan winning it vs m city in 2013 or whatever year it was however wigan didnt spend 100 million quid plus on thier squad like m utd did that season did they fyi I couldnt care less what nicol says in general and I am a liverpool fan btw most of what comes out of his mouth on this show is nothing short of bsđ€Ł
â@@simonoliver8576does the Carabao Cup matter then?
â@simonoliver8576 fa cup matters for Europe qualification. It matters MOST when a PL team out of Europe qualification wins fa cup like man u has done, thus qualifying for europa league. Basically winning fa cup has upgraded their PL position to 5-6 from 8. Man U has rained on the parade of Chelsea and Newcastle, Chelsea being downgraded to 7th position,, and poor Newcastle missing out on Europe entirely.
@@AhmedSiddiqui-vz5ji I agree with all of what you are saying m8 however what I was saying was that the premier league is a lot more important than the fa cup these days the because of the finances of champions league qualification etc I understand your point tho m utd have had far better season than any club outside of the top four because they won a trophy and qualified for europe on top of that basicallyđ
@@simonoliver8576 good points m8 đ
United won the FA cup so the goal posts have to be moved again. It's a cup that means nothing apparently
Exactly.
Can ESPN FC please get a pro Man Utd pundit to offset the Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, City, Spurs pundits on the show. Itâs becoming hard to watch.
Which one is pro Chelsea
Which one is pro Chelsea
Frank!
And Mario
They had Danny Higginbottom but let him go đ
Let him take over mancity next year when pep leave, ten hag is already at united, we are not desperate for him, or you guys could take him on your daily show
As an Ipswich fan I really want him to stay as gives us the best chance of survival.
However, I understand why his head has been turned by established prem teams. At the end of the day being a head coach is his career and moving to an established prem team is career progression for an ambitious and talented coach. I think the Brighton job is the most logical but if united offer him the job he clearly will take that.
He doesnât owe us at Ipswich anything, he has more than paid back the club. Back to back promotions, taken us to the prem, and given the fans so many great memories over the last two seasons.
McKenna has started the journey under our new ownership fantastically and given us a great platform to build from.
Stevie imitating Gab's reactions is hilarious
Thank you! I was looking for that comment!
If your not ready to be a Brighton manager your definitely not ready for united
That's not the same scenario. Brighton's model isn't the same as most and United have a different set of issues.
Best argument with stevie and Dan to date đ
How wining a trophy is one game??
Exactly. These two are full of S.
From his perspective, he should jump at the biggest job he can get because Ipswich will get battered in the top flight. But fak please don't come to Man United.
Dan getting a bit emotional about United.đThey can't possibly be that desperate for praise..
Does Ale ever disagree with Stevie? There is always group think with him
Exactly!! If I was a pundit on this, I would be telling off Stevie tbh!!
He is a junior pundit đ
Stevie is wrong!
Chelsea banged to get 6 th place and qualify for the Europa League!
Does that not matter!
Negative, negative, negative!
Nope. They won't play in europa league. Man U will, since they won fa cup.
@@AhmedSiddiqui-vz5ji I realize that, but at the time, this was an unknown
@michaelm5005 You are right. I'm just saying. I would love to know the stat how many times a PL team below 7th position has won fa cup.
Man U was in 8th place. By winning fa cup, they became 6th position team as far as Europe qualification concerned. Chelsea went down from 6th to 7th, thus qualifying for 3rd tier europa conference. And Newcastle went down from 7th to 8th, thus missing out Europe altogether!!!
Mate, this is how important fa cup is. But I reckon it is very rare that a 8th position team winning fa cup.
I tend to like Steve Nichols most of the time but he is dead wrong about Chelsea bc they accumulated 4th most points in 2024 among EPL teams.
He just hates chelsea. That's all it is .
The Chelsea hate was obvious
I just love these guys at ESPN FC with their heated discussions
Should stay at ipswich or go to brighton and build more credentials first. Those 2 other jobs will ruin his legacy...probably. He is young and he have time to still land a big job in 3 year's time
I usually âlikeâ these videos but I canât this time. These two pundits are so unbelievably biased itâs pathetic.
2:04 Haaland will be the first player to be happy when Pep leaves it will allow a coach to play to Haalands strengths
As long as he don't join united I don't care where he goes
I donât know how Dan works with nicol. Absolutely clueless!
Ale and Steve couldnât even answer the question properly. Utd had a better season not who is a better team.
Stevie contradicted himself. He said Xabi Alonso not taking over at Liverpool was a mistake as he might not get another chance, yet then says McKenna shouldn't take the united job as it's too soon...
13:44 Vincent D'Onofrio in Men in Black immediately came to mind - LOL
Also, it's completely short-sighted to claim that certain games at the end of the season are meaningless. By that logic, that means those matches had no significance for the teams they were playing too. Clearly that's not true, considering Palace beat Newcastle and Man Utd when both of those teams were in the running to get a spot in Europe next season.
Arsenal havenât won a trophy in a couple years so why would coming second twice be a bigger achievement?
Cause these guys hate United
Because it is especially where they were few years ago and plus they are progressing as a club and team United isnât

If I were Xavi, I would push for a project like Brighton, something smaller with a good sporting recruitment and planning. He needs an experience like that.
Good shout
can ESPN bring some regular pundits who are not obselete?
Yes, because apparently having success in the Championship is more than enough qualification to take over a big 6 club especially after had been part of the coaching staff for United. Indeed, McKenna should wait for Pep or Ancelotti to leave, he will be a natural replacement at either City or Real Madrid!
Big 8 club now!
â@@neilcoles1780Still the biggest and most valuable club in the world. Calm yourself.

True arsenal had a better season. United want to get to where arsenal are now. Challenging for the league
Where's your trophy then?
Start Dan, bench Ale, drop StevieâŠ.đđđ
Stevie turning to Ale mid argument is gold
Chelsea's last 5 games have booked it European football next season. FA is massive a way teams had to give way for Man United to play in Europa even though it finished 8th. Arsenal fans will want to rubbish this but you ask for the last 2 years what has been their progress? Finishing 2nd position and trophyless?
Mate, if man u did not win fa cup, then Chelsea would've played in 2nd tier europa league. Now, they will play 3rd tier europa conference. And Newcastle is completely out of europe.
Dan was brilliant đ
Those five games that donât count for you displaced five good teams
why would Mckenna come to united if United has a manager?
Ale loving Dan giving it to Stevieđđ
Will Craig ever suggest McKenna coach LiverpoolâŠ. Why heâs doing this???
Definitely not, he knows that managing a team in the championship is totally different to managing it in the premier league, he will probably fail to play l good football in the premier league. That's why he doesn't want him at Liverpool, or else Liverpool would finish extremely low next season
They argued for half the video about Crystal Palace đźâđš
And the FA cup means the same as iit used to...but its a cup and the league is of course bogger
Right m8. Man U winning fa cup is HUGE. It's extremely rare that a 8th team beats 1st team to win fa cup. By winning fa cup, man u has downgraded Chelsea's and Newcastle's europe qualifications.
Dance with the one that brung you.
Dan loves to whine Stevie up đđ
That steve bloke gotta be one of the worst analysts of football. he always doesnt make sense
Steve Nichol,used to be a Liverpool defender.đ
Who should I support next season guys?? Barcelona have gone trophyless and City got humiliated Man U, I'm thinking Dortmund if they win the UCL maybe???
Hop on a bandwagon?
You're not a real supporter ...
Support YOUR team rather than glory hunting.
I hate this âa big club might never call againâ if McKenna becomes a great manager for Ipswich then big clubs will always come calling
Dan Thomas was spot on there, but Nicol couldn't let his anti-Chelsea agenda lose.
I love all of aleâs catchphrases

Imagine an inexperienced McKenna going feom Ipswich to Chelsea or Manchester United because of back to back lower leagues promotion. Are these club owners on steroids?

Let him keep waiting for united on FIFAđđđ
How is finishing as a runner up better than winning the FA cup? I am sure Harry Kane would choose winning FA cup over finishing as a runner up.
Donât mind them . Sometimes they answer as a novice.
Iâm sure Kane would be aiming more for the likes of a champions league or league title the major stuff fa cup or league cup is a bonus Wigan won it plus hit relegated means they also had a better season then arsenal đ€·ââïž Iâm a United fan Iâll still rather be in arsenal position progressing as a team and club
@@nathanmcguckin9518 it was to choose from finishing as runner up or winning FA cup. Neither Manchester United nor Arsenal winning the champions league anytime soon
Even Dan seems like he's had enough of stevie's BS.
This makes no sense at all from a career standpoint. McKenna's stock is high and big opportunities like Man Utd & Chelsea only come along once in a lifetime - you have to take your chances when they come. Next season Ipswich will get smashed in the Premier League and McKenna's stock will be severely dented. This looks like an awful decision if he stays.
Am sure even Arsenal fans don't agree with Stevie.....
