This music makes me want to have K Rool as a playable character in the next Super Smash Bros so badly. Nothing beats nostalgia than reliving old sweet battles, victories, and the music that changed gaming history.
-The first thing you see is a pirate ship. -You hear a silly pirate song, setting you in the mood. -The boss fight gets serious after a while. -The song also changes into a more intense rock theme. I love this.
I love how it starts to slowly turn from a goofy anthem for the Kremlings into a intense theme as K. Rool slowly realizes that the Kongs are actually a threat and steps up his game for the fight.
Funny story, I remember playing DKC when my brother and I were kids. He was much more skilled at the game than I was and he would play it on saturday mornings and I would just watch. Well, after weeks of effort, he finally "beat" K. Rool, and then went to the phone to call up his friend and brag as the fake credits rolled. Well, when he came back to life, we both nearly shit ourselves and I snatched the controller and played while he quickly hung up on his friend and took over. Still beat 'em :)
@@FreemanicParacusia Uh... ONLY ONE WHERE DK WAS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER, huh? What about Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze?
Everyone talks about aquatic ambiance, which is rightfully praised, and the whole game really does have bangers, but this one right here is the one. It's a masterpiece and fits the epicness expected of final boss music.
When K. Rool was revealed o remember i was eating cereal in a call with friends... AND HOLY MOLY in a suddend flash i was screaming nuts, man, that was 3/4 years ago... time flies doesn't it?
I remember i once did a no game over run of this game (so if i ran out of lives i had to go back to the start of the game) and when i got to k rool for the first time (which was also the run i won on) i had like 3 lives left (screw that water stage in the factory btw) and it made this song so much more intense

For some reason my friend goes nuts when I play this song. He starts dancing like a scoundrel or some thief from Spyro the dragon. Its kinda funny the beginning of the song.
I started playing this again a week ago. Let's just say that I haven't put down the controller yet. How am I typing this comment? With my tongue. INNOVATION!

Are we talking about the Pirates who don’t do anything
I love how it starts to slowly turn from a goofy anthem for the Kremlings into a intense theme as K. Rool slowly realizes that the Kongs are actually a threat and steps up his game for the fight.
It's synced so perfectly for the battle. Makes it so intense
That transition is always a treat. Real ones recognize this game is thr GOAT of video game music
David Wise was inspired of Plok's SNES OST for this, you should give it a listen :)
The music that plays when the Florida man starts fighting the croc that was in his yard.
YES 🤣👌

I still got my dads snes copy, it's a pretty cool game but unfortunately I suck at platformers ;-;
Same here. Insane how something so simple can invoke such emotions to resurface.
the credits fakeout was incredible, beat the game for the first time today, and had no clue about it
Thanks for a non-restored version of the song, even if it was 10 years ago.
childhood memories...the song went to fun and innocent to all serious and real !! WTF!! Love this song
This is the happiest sounding final boss theme I've ever heard.
It starts off happy and innocent. Then it becomes sinister and intense.
One of the most upbeat final boss themes
I used to die on purpose to this boss fight just to keep hearing this amazing music.
The pause button m at stops all movement and the music keeps on playing

if anything, saying it's like iron maiden is a compliment, cause iron maiden is fucking awesome.
All three of the DKC games are masterpieces.
Edit: I haven't played the other games 😅😅
Including DKC4 aka DKC Returns!
@@EmperorArcanine89 and tropical freeze
Personally I thought the first was the best. Only one where DK was a playable character. By the third one your player character was wearing a diaper.

David Wise really brings it as a strong finish here.
