    I sure needed your support showing and I am needing some help with some of the stuff you are teaching me before I get sick again and wind up in the hospital with another great heart surgery that would be a heavy disaster in My opinion and possibly nobody gives a crap thanks again for your help and support with the special girl that you are 😊.

    I have enjoyed your videos but I haven't quite seen you describe the scenario I am in. I am 58 disabled on SSI, Medicaid and Public Housing.....I am to suppose to receive a $25,000 life insurance payout from my deceased father. What are my options because in the end, the public services I receive have more value and do no want to disrupt them.

      It sounds like you might need a 1st party SNT to hold the life insurance payout. This video should explain further: How to Receive an Inheritance While on Public Benefits czcams.com/video/U-GA0eL8U2g/video.html

    What if the house is in another state but the court gave the ex the house. But the deed is in my name. Does that count against SSi? Thank you!

    • @ellencookman-EstatePlanningSNT
      @ellencookman-EstatePlanningSNT  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Is there a reason the deed is still in your name? It sounds like you should work with the attorney who helped with the divorce to get the deed out of your name.

    I have a house in Mexico worth $4,000 and my relatives live there. I don't charge them rent and if I sold the house they would have to become homeless. My question is, does my house still count as assets?

    • @ellencookman-EstatePlanningSNT
      @ellencookman-EstatePlanningSNT  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I believe SSI requires you to report assets held anywhere in the world, so yes, the house in Mexico should count as an asset

    i've been disabled (Venus stasis foot ulcers) since 1998, Never got Disability, I'm no longer eligible for regular disability so I'm applying for SSI here in AZ. I tried about 10 years ago and was denied, I'm not holding my breath to get it, I've had these open ulcers now 6 years, seems these people are against you not for you, I go to my last Dr tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a decision in 3-4 weeks. Thankfully I live with my mother who's 77, i'm 56. She;s my everything, I'm moneyless now 25 years.

      I’m sorry to hear of your situation! I can’t answer your question completely, but here is a link to the laws that SSA follows on this subject: secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0500835060

    Can a lawful permanent resident adult age 65 or older living in US for less than 5 years and has no income is eligible for SSI?

    • @ellencookman-EstatePlanningSNT
      @ellencookman-EstatePlanningSNT  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes, you could be eligible for SSI; here is a fact sheet from SSA that explains this further: www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-11051.pdf

      @@ellencookman-EstatePlanningSNT I read the pdf attachment but it also says that you need to have enough work history (in case of lawful permanent resident). But what if someone living less than 5 years in US and has never worked ?? Are they still eligible to get SSI?

    I am not eligible for SSI as I reside in Thailand. I worked 40 years in the States paying into SS. Now at age 83 I am disabled but I survive well in Thailand on my SS pension. If I were to move back to America I would have to live on the street, if I were fortunate.

    3: no please, we don't want to be on SSi. We want to be payers-in, ourselves and go into developing something we do better than the youngers do.
    Please don't eat our Dole salads. We're too fat for the lack back there so we're injured as lazy and gating to work if physical. I mean in California adult in home wurk gets paid. We shouldn't have to be disenfranchised as whole (Food!). Follow the Thumbellina
