- Enjoying spending the day with my Mom and taking a little walk at Southwyck Mall (Since torn down and replaced with a delivery hub for Amazon.com)
Every time I see these old videos for the Southwyck Mall, I can smell the place.
The basement smell of NRM, the baked potato and garlic smell from Barry's, the ozone smell from the fountains, the sausage smell from Hickory Farms, the cloying vanilla and orange from Orange Julius and of course the books of B Dalton. Then there was the weird cigarette undertone to everything.
Southwyck was such a unique mall. I miss the arcade, book stores, pet stores. The beautiful glass dome. Grab a Hot Sam's or an Orange Julius and check out the casettes at Camelot Music.

Small glimpse of Red Baron arcade..... In its prime I can smell the popcorn cotton candy and soda through the video nostalgic memories of my childhood

I saw Tango and Cash at Southwyck!!! Plus you could had a shot of the Dejaiz store in this one. Awesome.
Honestly, I think you have the only remaining recording of any portion of the Red Baron Arcade in Southwyck. I know a few video game collectors that have been looking for footage of that; gonna send this their way. Thanks!
Great! It was fun to go there back in the day. No more of them that I know of. Gone away like the Vhs and black and white TV.
On this Date Jan2 1991 I took my Girlfriend and her two kids to see Beauty and the Beast at the Souckwyck Cinema . MEMORIES ! Thanks for the Flashback !
My mom knew a lady years ago that bought a Lab from Docktor pets at the Woodville Mall. He is to date the smartest dog I ever encountered. The animals in there always looked well cared for. I was 15 and growing up in Northwood when you recorded this.

It was a classic vhs camcorder of its day. I added a fisheye lens to be more surreptitious while recording with the camera over my shoulder. It was $1000 from Montgomery Wards in 1988.

I was 12-13 yrs old in 1990. Man Met my now divorced wife there, skipped school countless times there, got at so many girls there, fought, harassed, bought thousands of dollars of stuff through the yrs, spent so much time till the very last days... I miss Dominics across the street from there back then, with all the video games battles and nice dinners, I had sex in a bathroom at Dominics and southwyke malls.. lol man what a childhood up to my 20's I had there..😂🤣🤷🏽
