Love Harley Davidson. Can't afford em though. I'm building a old ass GoldWing. A 1983 Aspencade. One day I'll own a R.G. limited. I'm two years away from being able to purchase. That's when the ol car payment will be gone. Looking at 2015 or newer. For now. The 83 gets the nod. Purchase of the bike and all the crap I'm doing I'll end up having 3k in it. Not including the cost of my time. Bought non running. It now runs idle and stops. Next is paint gotta wait till spring. Doing a two tone harley-esk paint scheme in green and black

I did that light bar setup on my bike back in 2017 when I bought my road glide. I got the white light bar from eBay for 16 bucks. I posted it on the road glide FB page and had a bunch of people asking me how I did it. I should have gotten a patent🤣

When I had to replace my battery on my Indian Roadmaster, i know, its and Indian, I left the ECM connected but put in a Crown Royal bag. Gave me insurance against a very expense mistake.

I read the directions, and by that I mean I look at the pictures.
Ok,on the oil issue at air cleaner. Since installing cam,you have increased need to balance air flow in engine cases. The trask trans top vent would an excellent choice. Also, very important, M8 engines when modified prefer to be happy when oil level on dip stick is about 1/2 quart low. Trust me, it will help with air cleaner bleeding oil. Enjoy.

Nice video and nice light, but the wiring... Choose an accessory switch kit from Harley, install a switch on the dash instead of the blank-plates. Tip for a new video. :-)

Pro-Monkey you should take the wheels out and get them powder coated Red to match the Windscreen. It would look bad arse, and you should also get the beauty rings on the engine heads done the same color. Just Saying…

Also, I feel that spot under the frame for the new light switch will get so f'n hot and melt any adhesive. My thought was to utilize one of the dummy buttons on the top tree.

Why couldn't you run the switch right off of the auxiliary buttons on the inner fairing?
Cause I’d have to buy the buttons, those are just blanks.

Well I’m sure you have an idea of how to fix the oil dealio DK custom products have what they call a transformer mount and air cleaner that is what I used after some other failed attempts
😂😂youre such a dork....but great video and idea for my sons bike. Only issue I have is the bracket covers the adjuster for the headlight but thats ok. How many times would you adjust the damn thing!!!

@@ProfessionalMonkey oh, I thought it was a couple years old because I saw the vents in the headlight bucket, I thought they discontinued that 3/4 years ago? I had one. I sure miss it. I love the outside look real bad, but love the inside cockpit of a bat wing faring better I suppose. enjoy your videos ,make me laugh.!

You do know you could have tapped that switch off the cig lighter plug to right lol probably should have used relay to as well
Yeah buit the wiring lengths were weird. When you plug into the battery it's not long enough to get back to the fairign.

Just so you know, you do NOT have to splice ANY wire on your Harley tp ANY wire harness from custom dynamics, I deal with Brad, I have about 6k worth of there led lights on my 22 ultra, they will make you ANY harness adapters to plug & play your lights, like I told Brad, I paid a lot of money for my ultra, I’m not cutting & splicing anything on it, yes it might cost 5-10 bucks per connector but it better than cutting, even for my custom dynamics led run/blink mirrors, they made me a harness to plug into the system with dead ends on them to attach the splice ends onto, but I still never cut the wires
Good advice, I just didn't bother chasing that. Side note, this is the only CD product I have ever had to tap wires for.

What kind of seat cushion do you have laying their by your seat? I have an Air Hauck I just love. In my 3000 mile's one way to Sturgis my butt couldn't take it anylonger. Soooo the seat cushion added 2-300 miles a day farther. I'll do between 6-800 miles a day now at 69 yrs old. You do the math. I say best $100 I ever spent. I tried jel cushions but hated them.

Ok...as stated before GREAT VIDEO BUT...one thing thats been bothering me. Instead removing the tank and running the power button down the spine...why didnt you just run it to the already existing switch blocks in the dash like yhe CVOs??? The plugs are already there in the harness.
GRANTED youde have to buy the factory switch from Harley to power it up but doing it that way would be alot cleaner and you wouldnt have an external switch to fumble around for.

I went amber for the fog we get here sometimes at night. The X Light is a bright headlight so that wasn’t the issue.
