This isn’t the easiest song for her. She takes the top note on a good day. I think the more she goes on in the industry, and gains more knowledge, she can keep improving her vocal technique.

@@obe22099 she was a TEENAGER in her growth = your voice change and of course she has vocal technique, it's Billie singing in the recording song with the right note lol, but she sang every day and in those years she never stopped she hasn't stopped since she was 15/16 and sometimes her voice was tired, and as a teenager she was always sick traveling around the world she had sinusitis etc.. so SOMETIMES she couldn't pick that note because using a breathy tone is not as simple as using your fully voice and normally she takes it with that but it's not easy with that tone ... however your voice improves over the years, of course lol... at 14/17 is not your best for sure.... you are a child.. at 30 it's certainly better and every day singers must continue to practice it's normal ... Mariah carey, Amy from Evanescence etc have not been able to take certain notes for years even if they are still young as singer therefore for you they doesn't deserve to be one of the best vocalists of history? ... lol

Billie talked about this song being hard to sing for her when she sang it on the Howard Stern show, and in the performance it appears she loses that top note as well. It may be something she always struggles with hitting, which surprises me why she chose that song to perform at the Grammy's.

It’s because billie is less obsessed with sounding perfect and more into giving an emotionally captivating performance, which - in her case, specifically - means she sometimes has voice cracks and slip-ups. It’s not her highest priority.

      @johndean2029 Pƙed 4 lety +8

@@mcgreger8091 For sure. A modern day Sia, if there is a comparison. The voice cracks are okay - it's a part of "her" sound. The more people listen to her, they will respect it and know it as her performance. It definitely seemed like she was just "playing it off" because she repeatedly ran outta air on that note and knowing a little about Billie I'm sure inside she was beating herself up about it because she is VERY much the perfectionist! She recorded this song originally like 4 or 5 years ago. And her voice still sounds amazing since the recording, even if she missed a couple notes, she's still one of the best singers of our generation.

As one vocalist to another, I take great appreciation in this performance and kindly disagree with the small critique. This performance was raw and drew me in. I actually felt emotions when she "missed" the high notes and instead offered a deeply moving whisper. Her artwork is different than polished belters. Absolutely. Even myself, so trained to do what the musical roadmap tells me to do. Her style is all hers and there is no roadmap. its intriguing to me and so refreshing to have an artist that can convery such an emotion.

I love Billie Eilish. Her voice is unique and recognizable. For vocalists under the age of 20, very few female vocalists have unique recognizable voices. Diana Akuninova is another.
Now I’m going to treat all you Billie Eilish fans around the world to a vocalist who passed away recently but in my generation ( 1960s ... I’m 74 years old) had a small but worldwide cult following and I consider her the “ Billie Eilish of the 1960s.” Her name
Morgana King with a celestial heavenly ethereal voice, unique and mesmerizing. Just like Billie. When a song by her came over the radio, ( today Spotify , CZcams , etc) within the first 30 seconds ( Like Billie Eilish today) you KNEW it was Morgana King and you stopped whatever you were doing to listen. Frank Sinatra called her the best female vocalist he ever heard.
If I may so bold as to suggest you listen ( when you have a few moments) to the following 3 songs that will silence your mind and open the floodgate of your heart. The first 2 were created and posted by a “ Morgana fan” with remarkable imagery which enhanced the emotional impact!!
And hope you add them to your playlist so that others may enjoy.
    Please CZcams
“ Morgana King Happy Birthday 2017” ( 4:26 in duration). The song is called “ desert hush/I am a leaf” please be sure to click the 4:26 one ( the one with a photo of her with lyrics) and NOT the 4:25 or any of the others.
“ Morgana King Prelude to a kiss” ( 3:49 duration)
And finally one more that is to this day her signature song about a lover that promised to return but never did.
“ Morgana King sings a taste of honey” ( 5:17 duration).
So pleased that the younger generation who I send these songs to are amazed and profusely thank me for turning them on to the “ Billie Eilish of the 1960s” Again, if you love Billie , please take a few moments out of your day to listen to Morgana. Her emotionally impactful voice will transport you to another world. I promise.
    R.I.P. Morgana King

This was an awesome critique! Personally, I've always found her and Finneas's cover of Michael Jackson's "Bad" from a couple of years ago to be one of her best live performances. She puts TONS of her own style into it and even belts a little bit the climaxes. It would be a great one to react to!

She writtes her own songs and her music videos are beautiful.

But all of them are very good ^^

Hey Tara đŸ‘‹đŸ» I’m a fan of you from TaiwanđŸ‡čđŸ‡Œ and I’ve watched many reaction videos of yours. It was when I binged listening to my fav singer Morissette Amon that I came across your reaction videos. I love the way you react: always listen wholeheartedly and then analyze them in detail. You’re undoubtedly professional when it comes to singing and coaching. But it has been quite a while since you last reacted to Morissette. I was hoping you could check her rendition of Whitney Houston’s “Run toYou” on ASAP. It was so intense and full of both techniques and emotions. In my opinion that performance is breathtaking yet I wonder if there’s anything that Morissette could have done better. So if you’d like to react to it, I will be so grateful. Thank you:-)

She intentionally doesn't hit the note when she says "and I'll call you when the party's over." She hits that same note in the very next line, the word "quiet" in the next line starts off on the same note that "over" would end on.

I think on that high note she primarily goes in soft and the note either happens or it doesn't but she would rather do that than put more volume into it just to secure the note. I've seen her do exactly the same in other live videos.
