I just realized, the whole movie she saw him being a sick old man, who yelled at her whenever she got aggressive, a far cry from herself and what she saw of him in the comics. From her perspective she was a beast and he was holding her back. But this was the first time she saw him actually go hard, and it made her actually hesitate in fear for a moment.

The sheer brutality and animalistic nature of Jackman here is why fans of the comics love his dedication so much. 17 years, 17 years of intermittent roles as the Wolverine, Logan was the perfect send off for Jackman.

Yes him bringing out his claws always hurts him but the healing kicks in right after. Imagine having to cut through your flesh each time having to bring the claws out.
It's like the comics though. When wolverine gets hurt enough he goes into full blown rage and the pain is dulled. That serum he took basically put him into a trance on Complete rage on top of him healing again. It's crazy though bc that's the last time we see wolverine at full blast.

It was almost like he tried to bury the wolverine forever to escape his past but in that moment THE wolverine dug out of the grave to protect the ones he loves one last time.
That’s the sound of a man who’s kids in trouble, a true man of passion in that moment.

Hugh Jackman, was transforming to be a better wolverine the longer he played the role.
This for me, is the best portrayal of the character.
He honestly did an amazing job. The only things I have against this movie are the two ways Wolverine died. We know the bullet to the head wouldn't kill wolverine as it didn't in his first solo movie. The tree shouldn't have been able to pierce his skeleton.
That aside this was an amazing movie.

The bullet would've killed him because if you pay attention, than you would know that there is a special poison to kill mutants in everyday foods, drinks, ect. they say it in the movie. From watching the movie you can see, the poison is in beer, which he is an addict to beer. Hints why his healing wasn't working.
2. The tree didn't pierce where his skeleton would be. It pierced his kidney area, where there is no bone. It wasn't even near his skeleton. So it would've killed him because his healing isn't working any good so he would bleed out, or die from organ failure almost instantly, like in the movie.
And even if he would've have been killed, he would've died because adatmantium is literally poisoning him. Which is why he was the only one that could survive the presegure. His healing kept him alive. They say it in the movies. You obviously know nothing about simple human anatomy, and wolverine's powers. Pay attention to the movie!!

One of the things I love about wolverine is that it’s not like Superman or the Hulk, where bullets just bounce off. The wounds just heal really fast and effectively. But that means he must feel it. And he just powers through the pain and Just. Keeps. Coming.
I love how both Logan and his daughter have the same fighting style and moves it just makes me happy

The howl and the subsequent snarl was how I always imagined Wolverine would sound if he ever went full beast mode. Honestly, I have to agree that this was the best superhero movie I've ever seen. Seeing one of my childhood heroes in such a lost and broken state wasn't easy to watch, but seeing Logan wake up and become the Wolverine one last time, instead of crawling into a hole to die, his last act was to go down fighting for Laura and the other children was simply beautiful. Jackman will always be the one and only Wolverine.

It blasts my mind that as long as life exists on earth, people will love them, people will respect them. "Them" means not only the characters but these persons who played these characters.

Yes it’s been 5 years since it came out but this movie meant so much to me since I was a kid wolverine was my favorite superhero and it brought such a bitter sweet feeling that Logan got a honorable and meaningful end to his story this character meant so much to me growing up and being 18 getting to see this movie was such a joy it deserved so much more praise than it got

I recently rewatched this movie. I have just have one question: Why didn’t this movie win or get nominated for an Oscar. Or some other notable movie award. Because this movie was a step above normal superhero action movies. This is a fantastic movie. Probably the best x men universe movie ever made.

The only thing I hate is we got a powered down wolverine for the better part of his last 3 movies. The wolverine, he was weakened by the parasite for a large part of the movie. DOFP he was his past self without the enhancements and really didn’t do a lot of fighting. This movie he’s old and dying. Still a very good movie tho
