"We didn't really realize for years how great he was. He was a brilliant musician....." Roger choked up in the beginning when he said Freddie was inspirational....😢
5:07-5:27 Brian gave me the best 20 seconds of my life
A good part of the reason Freddie is so loved is because he had the balls to go out there and say F...it I'm gonna do it no matter what. He knew he had a talent, he knew he could flop even with what he had going for him. But he is a hero to many of us because he went out there and did what most of us don't because we fear failure and ridicule. Don't tell me that's not true.
omg
He had so much courage and faith in his abilities, even though he was insecure on the other hand. Fascinating man.
I love what Anita said last year. Freddie lived fearoessly. He did it his way. He went with his gut. AND IT PAID OFF. I CALL THAT DOING GOD'S WORK...LIVING OUT GOD'S WILL FOR YOU. BECAUSE WHAT'S MEANT TO BE WILL BE. BUT WE HAVE TO FIND THE GUTS TO FIND OUT WHERE GOD WANTS US TO BE. THAT'S BEEN MY EXPERIENCE.THATS HW I WON 9 EMMYS. I DID WHAT MY GUT OR WHAT GOD WAS TELLING ME TO DO. AND I WAS SUCCESS FUL.
He love what he did to perform n sing
He is very fearless till his death i feel like he dont scare of failing
FREDDIE WAS THE MOZART OF OUR TIME. !
Of that time
Now that youve mentioned it....i couldnt agree more....
He wasn't he is!
I really enjoyed Roger saying that about Freddie, about how it pissed him off that they only considered him a great showman when he was really a great musician. Of Brian and Roger, Roger's usually the 'tell it like it is' person to Brian's diplomat, so we usually hear Roger telling about Freddie's warts sometimes (not too deep, but letting everyone know he was a human and not a god, which is needed). It's good to hear HIM (as opposed to Brian) stick up for Freddie's musicianship. I love this.
Freddie was a genius
TheOfficialCMAN I’ve seen you in so many queen videos, you’re everywhere.
Damn. . .that guitar solo just gave the chills! 🤘🤘
Robbin Perry one of my favorite guitar solos to play on guitar.
Freddie: I’ve got an idea for a song my darlings!
(Sits down at the piano, starts to play BR,then stops suddenly)
Freddie: Now this is where the opera section starts darlings!
Roy Thomas Baker (producer): oh s**t!
Some people are just meant to be stars and Freddie was one of them...
You all are brilliant. I have not enough words to describe your awesomeness. Freddie, Bryan, Roger, John... you’re all the best. (Sorry for my bad english, though)
The Hyde Park Concert was the first concert i ever went to, still my favourite after 42 years.
Freddie Mercury was much more than a rock star!
He was a genius!
Special, charismatic, magic.
He was an extraordinary talent.
A kind humble great person and artist.
His music is the music of beauty and freedom.
Eternal.❤️
Freddie was a genius, a man that defied opera and rock, the first of it's kind.
Queen did things beatles cant.
Freddie had the balls to do everything he thought.
Result was this,
*BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY*.
greatest song ever !
greatest flag ever!
coooba94 You realize you are proudly using a flag that represented a movement that supported putting people like Freddie Mercury (homosexuals and bisexuals) in a concentration camp to suffer a slow and painful death. Read a history book sometime and you will see that in there. You should be ashamed. You may have freedom of speech but I also have the freedom to scold you for your ignorance.
Nazi germany terminated many gay people, and a lot of LGBT are cultural or artistic or intelectual intrest people
oh yeah same old shit, i know. but i make exception for Freddy, ok. And elton john. And some other guys :D
ahhh!! a nazi!
The frosting on this Friday afternoon was watching Queen discussed . . . hearing candid and glorious attention to Queen and Freddie's Bohemian Rhapsody, So glad the video remained here for me to stumble onto.❤
I hate that I am going to die and never have been able to go to a Queen concert. I would give anything to go to Montreux this September, but even if I could afford a ticket, I can't afford to stay in motels. That makes me sad. To those of you going, I envy you but have a fantastic time and touch Freddie's statue for me.
Jan Hunt there is always a way if you really wanna go ...
If you really want to go that badly. You would find a way.
Greatest song in last 50 years
Greatest song ever
Technically this isn't really the making of the song it's just what the artists and other people thought of the song which I actually still like.
Yes they did move from some facts which for an ardent queen fan from the early seventies was a bit annoying. But the film has elevated queen to a new audience and revitalised the group to a new level. I have not heard so much queen on TVs and radio for a very long time. Long live Queen and my fabulous memories.
Brian May so Underated !! God Bless Queen !!
A Thousand years from now, Hell! a million years form now, even on a distant planet, people or some distant alien life form will love this song. It will endure forever.
That is the best way to respect honour and describe this
I would have loved to just have a conversation with Freddie. I love the way he gets into the music. I will always miss Freddie
It's very true what Roger said at the beginning of the video, Freddie was a truly talented musician. As a classical musician I am surprised by his talent as composer which can be perceived in Bohemian Rhapsody, let alone his voice.
“Whatever you do with my music don’t make it boring”.
Freddie mercury.
That first excerpt of Bohemian Rhapsody live, it's interesting that Freddy was sick that day, that's why he didn't hit the higher notes, and yet, he sings awesome, he manages to transfer the feeling of the song, with different notes, even tho he's sick
I agree with Roger, Freddie was and continues to be an inspiration.
I now know what the song was all about? Freddy coming to terms, with one self! So brilliant.
Brian is Guitar God
Freddie broke all barriers for musicians. Now people can concentrate on their art instead of being afraid of what others though.
Thankyou for posting! :)
Will always be one of my fav's ... truly brilliant man!!! Miss U
I was convinced he was a genius when he wrote March of the black queen! Talk about bursting onto the scene already a legend! ( Joan Baez reference, lol)
Jason White oh my God a Diamonds And Rust reference!! I love this song (both her original version and Judas Priest’s famous cover)
The world was just about small enough...... Great quote..
Freddie creates with his mates the English Rhapsody of all time. i wish it the longest life it truly deserves. 5 minutes and 55 seconds of unadulterated rapture. Gershwin bros. would have been in awe as well.
wtf? He didn't turn up because he had retired from Queen at that point, and he was not just "with 3 geniuses", he was a major contributer to the band. He wrote Another one bites the dust, Spread Your Wings and Under Pressure, how can you even doubt his talent?
the first (and only?) band to have everyone write a chart topper i believe
Majestic.
A really wonderful sound
Long live the QUEEN.
A brilliant musical tour de force. Incredible.
Leggendaria band , la miglliore che sia mai esistita, per creatività, talento, doti musicali, freschezza, intuito, arte! INIMITABILI ED ETERNI!!!
Just saw the movie - amazing talent
The record that held off disco in the winter of '75-'76, and one you always wanted in rotation for a quick run to the john late in your airshift. And, yes, they chopped this to 3:30 for some stations that wouldn't play a 5:55 record.
Très belle chanson de Freddie mercury
just great,,
Brilliant song.
Wow! Bri loves that shirt!
classic!!!
WE ARE NOT WORTHY, WE ARE NOT WORTHY....
BRIAN MAY'S SOLO ^-^
@MusicbyBenjamin do you know how long it took to record and they were not always together throughout the recordings , however i know people who were around at rockfield when it was recorded, and no they didnt.
An abolute, no doubt masterpeice. One of top 3 songs ever made
Freddie Mercury means much to me . . . kinda scary, til I look, listen and learn more about him and his music, his art . . . . each day.
Increible los dedos de brayan Meyer q forma mas fabulosa de tocar para mi el mejor
The world was just about small enough for stage for him to get feel comfortable on...well said
As their publisher i guess elektra and emi best publish ever to go down to history..
Legend gone too soon
Freddie lives.
a fucking brilliant band
5:08 .. my god!
@Charles Addison Ociones lol thanks
Um Verdadeiro Jamais Morre !!!
Vida Longa ao Rei !!!
um deus na sua arte como Senna na F1
The best 2 bands of all time, The Beatles and Queen. Sorry no one can touch the talent in either band!!!
Starting around 8:10 Ian Hunter looked like Don Imus.
ooooh that was like a mini woodstock hehe
puoi inserire i sottotitoli anche qui...molto utili grazie mille!!!!
"You don't make music for immortality, You make music for the moment, for capturing the sheer joy of being alive on planet earth." --Ray Manzarek.
@MusicbyBenjamin no, it sounds so interesting because they were pretty much poor at the time and had to combine 3 songs, then they really liked it plus the operatic feel of it was just freddie's spin on things
It said there is more here than you imagined , this can't be labeled and put in a box .Queen aint just a fad or a three trick pony
how can u NOT interview Roy thomas Baker in this??!!
Adam Paskowitz I agree.
Whats this. Movie name?
@Queenrock990 What makes me think that is because of the style of rock. See, I'm a musician, and I can tell what's written from drugs, what comes from the heart, and even if it was written out of silly curiosity.
ps: plus I have an older sister who is very knowledgeable about Queen.
Freddie mercury was way before his time, He is extremely missed.
Well,,, that escalated quickly
Think what you want sir/ma'am.
Joe perry is a pretty guy
The greatest song ever written...next is stairway to heaven...whos with me? 🖐
Billie Jean over stairway
Damn! These black nails...
Fun Fact, the only piano lessons Freddie every took were about a year when he was 10
Silent Studios Skits ...So you say I have a chance? Is it really true, for only one year?
Maybe it's the only way you can writte or perform your music. That's not the case of Queen.
Starting @2:45 These men need to take off those wigs. Back to back wigs until around @3:12 .
I thinK he had 4 if not more extra back teeth.I want to say only 4 though but it is mentioned in a video here on YT.His mother has the same condition.
This is not a making of...
brush one dislike
An isis production!? 😱😱😱
You know...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isis
Horus mother and all.
kids like this are why birth control is essential kids.
Why is there Americans talking on this?
EMI was a British (multinational) company, they were involved with queen at the time. hope this helps.
@@thelastminecrafter1280 and Elektra i suppose
I think you mean "Why ARE there..." Must be embarrassing, an American, correcting your English.
Freddie Mercury was much more than a rock star.
Brian chats a lot and lies a lot.
He highlights himself in everything.
A sneaky uncharacteristic man.
It’s annoying that he always says opinions.
He just chats because he's vain and jealous.
It's a big disappointment for this guy
Really, Roger? You just now realize what a great musician he was? I am appalled, that you, of all people, didn't really take him seriously after all.
He didnt say just realised...
Like he said (I’m paraphrase ) “ people “ didn’t realize he was such a great musician- not just a great showman... read!
Hugely overrated song. And like Led Zep, the praise from within the band is a mark of musical posturing. You just don't praise and glorify your own music.
Worst record ever made bar none.
Highland Fleet Lute what?
