My favorite brown was also my first lipstick I was allowed to wear 😂 Toasted Almond from L'Oreal! It's a gorgeous satin finish and I can wear it any season. It was AMAZING when I had red hair but it's still super lovely with darker colors too.

I love the updated, softer take on the 90's brown lip liner trend. I remember being in high school and seeing girls walking around with a harsh brown liner and a sparkly clear gloss over top!!😅 I was never confident enough for that trend.

As a pharmacy technician, I can tell you that you are not the only one picking up a summer cold/flu/what-have-you. There are some meds we normally only see dispensed in the winter months, maybe late autumn/early spring, that are suddenly being prescribed now.
I love that lipstick color but I'm definitely not ready for anything Fall related yet 😂 .

On myself, I do not care for brown lips at all because of my blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair/cool coloring. That does not take away from my enjoyment of this video AT ALL! Maybe I'll invest in a nude or brownish lip liner and try this look on myself. Who knows? I might be 62, but I am still willing to try new things. Why not?!? I love Charlotte tilbury lipsticks. She has so many pretty browns, nudes, & soft pinky-browns. I think my fave is pillow talk medium on me. But I’m trying to remember names 1 is actually called supermodel. Brown reminds me of 90s off duty model! Also Sabrina carpenter is bringing back the brown lip she seems like she likes a light brown. You were born to wear brown! It looks rly good on u! I’ve always thought brown flatters me too. It’s sophisticated. I don’t buy drugstore makeup but it was interesting to see the combos! Fenty has a couple good browns Fenty glow & hot chocolit. Brown is my fave for eyeshadow too I love Patrick ta dimensions 3 & both of danessa myricks the ones w the power with pomade. That’s my jam!

Also, I love that this was a niche video because it is very relevant and palpable, meaning I can get a lot of information about one subject in a short amount of time and watch it all the way through in one go. You rock these dark lips! It does go well with your hair and eyes probably because of the high contrast with your fair skin. I have olive skin and I shy away from the brown tones but I might have to try them since you make them look so pretty.
My favorite brownish/light burgundy combo is NYX lip liner in nutmeg (which is my fav lip liner color of all time, O Elf lipstick in Dirty talk in the center, with Milani Lychee lip oil, or for a tad darker and browner, Milani BlackBerry lip oil. So good. You’re not alone in the brown lip. Don’t forget Revlon Coffee Bean. I like Revlon blush in Naughty Nude with my browns. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

When I travel I only take the whiskey business palette from Milani and some type of glitter it is such a good everyday look

I’m blond with blue eyes and I love the brown tones. For the Fall and Winter I use the L’Oréal lipstick Cinnamon Toast. You can apply a gloss over it and that will help make it a softer color. I have always loved the brown tones for lips and fingernail polish.. I do like the pinks and peach colors for Spring and Summer..

Yes! I love BROWN lips so I’ve been waiting for this! If you haven’t tried this already, I LOVE the Fenty Beauty lipstick in She a CEO. I’ll do a light layer of it and then add some aquaphor on top and it still lasts a while, looks great, and is comfortable!

Hey Emily, you've inspired this much older lady, 22 years I think, to try a brown lip. I've never tried one even in my youth. I'll do a soft brown but definitely brown. I mean why not I might be pleasantly surprised. I left a message I think on Saturday that Texas ( where I live) was going to hit 101°, today it's 73°and raining! That is something I love about Texas the weather changes constantly and usually drastically. So when I'm not satisfied with the weather I don't have too wait long before that is remedied. God bless

I am totally into the brown lip, for a very long time. They are the colors that always look best on me. My current fav is ABH satin lipstick in soft brown. I will be getting some of these for sure. Thank you!
It's funny you say that the one brown liner is so dark it could be eyeliner because in the past (maybe even today) a lot of folks with darker skin tones used eyeliners as lip liners since no actual lip liners came in shades that were dark enough to be nude on them. Nyma Tang talked about this in her collab video with Dose of colors a while back.
Elf Cream Glide Liner in Baddest Beige is one of my favs! I love pairing it with the Elf Lip Oil in Honey Talks for a brown nude lip!

I love that eye look and love the lip combos you fit in one video. Love the Rimmel Stay Matte line, everything, but also am obsessed with the Rimmel Glossy lip glosses (bare minimum my all time Fav!) Other lip products I’m obsessed with is Milani Lip Tints and Nyx Whipped milky glosses. They are such great products but they stay forever without being like the Maybelline Ink formula where it feels like a laminate.

I just recently got the wet n wild megaslicks in snuggle sesh and I wouldn't have gotten it cause I thought it would be too pink. Thanks for showing the slight pinkiness in it. My drugstore brown lip rec is the Maybelline Creamy Matte in Nude Nuance 🥰 I don't think I pair it with anything, lol, but it's a really wearable brown, with a slight warm pink tinge. And recently I got a Rom&nd glossy balm in Nu Beige; it's a sheer yellow-based brown in the tube and layered on my lips it turns into a peachy brown, almost like that Too Faced gloss 😊
