I think Tobuck also has this very weird path, where you get absorbed by zarantia, but it goes into chaos and you start playing as some kind of ancient desert worms.

@@nukclear2741 Okay okay, so, you play Zarantia, have Pea Shooter return the city to you peacefully, then rush through the middle politics tree without fixing the corruption issue (which you do on the tree to the right of it). By doing this, instead of Mama Mekkiouzza braining the helpful griffon with her cane, she gets killed, Umalez gets caught and forced to do drugs, and if you do enough drugs before the final threshold of THAT tree, you get this path where Umalez gets assimilated by a tatzlwurm in the desert, and made to end all of civilization. If you go World Conquest on this route, its basically a story where you end all civilized life and go to sleep deep underground, making way for the next wave of civilized lifeforms to take over and start the cycle of history all over again.

This mod has existed almost as long as the base game itself and if I remember correctly this mod has the biggest dev team out of all HOI4 mods. HOI4 released sometime in 2016 and the earliest public build of the mod I could find is dated to September of 2017 but I'm sure there was an even earlier public release. Also a lot of the devs and writers are Russian which explains why so many countries have insane paths, even the really old paths have a bunch of wacky stuff. Coding sure is fun when vodka and pelmeni fuel your body!

Hi, main writer of Tobuck here! You may recognise my PFP as the same one used in game for the general Myrga.
In total the tag has about... 160k words in it (that's about three average size novels) in total, of which I wrote ~ 95%. I did this instead of studing for my A-level exams and honestly I'd say it was worth it. Love writing for the mod, love playing it and I love seeing it on CZcams! Hope you enjoyed playing it as much as I enjoyed my insane journey writing it in about six months.

Sneaky edit for a PS: yes, you can give Pea Shooter better ending if you're willing to make stacks with him. If I remember rightly there are four stages of wealth that you can have with him before hitting the best ending for his family at >100 mil. Also, there are a total of six paths in Tobuck; two with our favourite greedy griff Vasile, two for our beloved generalissimo Walnut Drive, one for the Nightmare-blessed Alesia and another for the one - indeed, the only - Big B who you've seen here.

As for the Chiropterra not being annexed wholelly it is a special situation for a post-defeat Chiropterra paths to be unlocked, which offer some of the best stories that the nation posesses but doesn't allow for a big expansion as it was in the normal focus tree
The Exiles path for Tobuck is equally as wack for different reasons. You get to restore the Tsardom to Staliongrad.

It is an april fools collaboration between the devs from EaW and the devs from the stellaris mod Gigastructural Engineering, the nation is the kingdom of abyssinia, you play as Kaiser Kattail, who has just arrived from another reality and attempts to take over the world utilizing his knowledge of mechanized warfare and megastructures to give his empire a gigantic edge.
(for his focus tree to show up, you have to enable it at the game rules menu at the bottom)

I think your mistake in this game was allowing Aris to become too powerful to defeat.

Playing a minor nation in Zebrica will always put you at odds with all of your neighbors, but the Hippogrifs will always be enemy number one. If coltage loses it’s basically game over.

That being said, I'm on an Old World Blues kick right now, so my 'suggestion' much like the guys saying to play this mod, is to play that one.

*America is a post-nuclear wasteland, the bar is quite low.
Villain route is the 'work for the Enclave', ending on the right side at the Big Choice focus. If you want a more Story based plot like this mod, Pioneer Company still lets you go the Evil route, but go it alone if you want to.

Less alt history and more just fantasy, but I highly recommend the Anbennar overhaul mod for EUIV if you haven't tried it already. It brings D&D and fantasy to EUIV and it's wonderful. There's even menus to handle racial tolerance and cast spells. The devs are still very active too so there are more updates to come

This mod has more words than quite a few novel series...
So if you read all the lore, it's practically just reading a novel title Equestria at War
So it may as well be it's own thing, and if you combine it with the actual series, the lore is so thick that you cannot find many series with more lore, it might as well be it's own game, series, and world
(Maybe apart from Star Wars, Zelda, Legend of Heroes/Kiseki, Lord of the Rings, How to Train Your Dragon, and stuff like that, those have more lore, in theory)
Not to mention the mod mechanics, and more, it's just so good, it's practically Hoi4 2 (or would that be Hoi 5?)
Once you play or experience the mod, you just can't say it's bad, it's just so good!

Well that ending feels familiar for my Grogar run. Literally just finish conquering Zebrica, civil war happens after I'm done and the the ENTIRE PLANET declares war on me... while i have is 45 divisions because half my army joins the opposing side.

I love this! And although I do agree that the Equestria At War mod is EXTREMELY fleshed out, have you seen TNO (The New Order) mod? It's another very well fleshed out mod that takes place in the 1960s. It holds a similar concept to Man in the High Castle and Wolfenstein lore, where the Axis would win WW2. However, there is a break in the lore, where the 1960s is filled with global turmoil and has multiple power disputes across the world following key power vacuums and growing local discontent in occupied nations.

Try "Old World Blues" mod. It is a Fallout mod that only has America as a map but it is very extensive. The guys who work on EAW also has members at OWB.

Also can I just say that unlike other...certain mods I can name...EAW doesn't overwelm you with new stuff ,try to turn the game into an economic simulator, or have insanely ridiculous focus trees that theydon't tell you about essential focues that cause you to lose when you try to play historical...

I'm fairly certain Tobuck is based off of The Republic of China just in North Africa and the city of Tobruk but independent. Since the Republic of China had plenty of warlords and what not.

32:08 Chiropterra is arguably the worst nation in the world simply because they're a huge pain to anyone who isn't Hippogriffia. Even playing as the fat fuck I had to retreat into a defensive line in Tobuck and the nile to the right of it, using the defensive pact with Zarantia to leave the bats dying on the desert and periodically cutting them off through the single tile guaranteeing suplly in the region
Next thing you should play is Enclave Reborn Redux for Old World Blues.

That focus tree has not been updated since pre-history, any playthrough would be like hitting a brick wall with your head repeatedly.
