Thanks Mojaxx for always reppin the vinyl and 7" culture!
I can't commend Sure Shot enough, great product with flawless levels of Customer Service!!!! Salute Marcin
Thorough, helpful, professional... and fun! Mojaxx nails it again.
collect and spin rare soul 45's on my Technics 1210's, anything from 60's Northern & 70's Modern Soul to new release soul / r8b from the US, 45's are my main passion
Thanks again, Mojaxx. Think we got some Syd Def Jam 45 adapters on your recommendations a few years back, and use them all the time. They're twinned with Dr. Suzuki's 7" Donuts, on top of some 12" Allergies-branded mats with 12" Suzuki slipsheets underneath all that. We put the Syd Jams on top of small holed 45s too, for extra weight. And we try and pack two sets of turntable isolation boots from MK Stands to pop on the Technics feet to soak up any rumble as well. It's a set up that works for our more hip-hop style of mixing on 45s. Just don't get us started on bags. There's a convo that will go on for days!
I do the same with my Syddefjam adapters and slipmats!
Dope!
Throughout the 90s and early 00's I used to take 2 small 7" (45s) single cases with me that had all my party tracks in. Just to do a quick fire party set was awesome fun back then. It was really the only time I used vinyl then as I transferred most of my 12" singles to CD which was alot easier to carry around.
Best format ever, and I’m not a purist I love technology too.
Wow Hamburger adapters!! Too funky!! I use Mukatsuku, love them, nice weight easy to grab them and have great look to them - mine are stainless steel. Keep these videos coming i love them!
Cool stuff!
Great Review!,...I like 45's...but I have to put a old record on,then put the 45 on,because I will miss the edge of the 45😡😠😤...dnt wanna mess my needle up
Great content as always! I play 7” vinyl. For me it’s nostalgia more than anything. But I do see the momentum gathering for 7” sets in the wake of more venues booking vinyl deejays. My favorite slipmats for 7” vinyl are the Dr. Suzuki Kuttin Donuts. My favorite 7” adapter by far is the Union Products brass adapter that was being produced in Japan. I was fortunate enough to buy direct before he shut down. And I even picked up a couple from Turntable Lab before stock ran dry. I also love the Syd Def Jam adapters but the bushing (O rings) slow me down a bit. That notwithstanding I still purchased a set of the standard profile and a set of the low profile adapters. Mukatsuku made steel domes that have 3 notches that make them easier to grip and remove from the spindle but I just don’t use them even though I thought I would. Jesse Dean Designs made anodized puck style large hole adapters with 6 spent shells/bullet casings that function well and look SICK AF!! But you can’t get them anywhere now. The breakaweights are lovely, heavy and low profile but too wide a diameter to keep your fingers off the grooves. I’m old school so I primarily backspin with fingers on the label. Cutting and cueing for me occur on the outer edge of the record so the breakaweights are reserved for 12” vinyl even though they will work with large hole (dinked) or small hole 7” vinyl. I like the sure shots and will definitely own a pair of I don’t already lol. But still for me the best to ever do it was Union Products out of Japan. Sad to see them go. But glad Sure Shot and others are on the block to service deejays today and moving forward. ✊🏽
Amazing value for 18EUR - you'd struggle to make them for that price!
the handful of 45s I own have marks on the labels where I superglued them to 12 inches for use in sets back in the day :(
I use them and ❤ them!!!
i love 7 inch records and i have curious stuff on 45
genres on 45?Well like my regular sets are quite varied but 7 inch maybe more so as i started buying pop music from the age of eighteen and for many years it was mainly 7inch records and i listened to everything as i was for a while trying to work out what i liked .I am still trying to do that but it means that my little old 7 inch collection is very varied and has been added to from charity shops record fairs and the few record shops that London or Vienna still has.A good weight or center is important when using 45s and i would quite like some of the ones i saw here.I need a new set of Technics or Stantons for use at my brothers as my vinyl collection is being stored there .Thanks John.
Hiyah Mojax! Another great video! Any suggestions for weighing down or securing a Phase / Vinyl combo against windy outdoor events or just locking the record in place at events? The traditional spindle caps won’t fit due the snug and tall design of Phase.
Any review for the Technics 1200Mk7L coming???
Is it correct to say that the 01 and 05 are your faves because they're the best combo for stability AND quick mixing?
MOJAXX KNOWS DJ KOCO??
Nice one! But it appears the link is not working.
It’s working for me, the team might have updated it since you tried.
@@Mojaxx It does now, cheers!
HORRIBLE RECOMMENDATION ON THE BRASS SURESHOT. JUST BOUGHT THEM AND THEY ARE TOOO SMALL. THE 7"s SLIP ALL OVER THE PLACE. CANNOT CUE PROPERLY OR SCRATCH WITHOUT SKIPPING. IS THIS COMMON? HAVE THEY FCUKED UP THEIR DESIGN NOW? ABS USELESS PAPER WEIGHTS AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED.
