    Years ago l bought a bright red 600cc twin carb Norton. The vibration from the engine, was like like trying to ride a road drill. Made more than my teeth chatter. The only good thing about that bike, it had the most comfortable seat of any of the bikes l owned. I eventually got rid of it for a Triumph 650 cc TR6, that became the love of my life. Such a smooth engine, cradle frame, must admit, had great regrets when l eventually went over to four wheels instead of two.

    I don’t have the skills, commitment or resources to own a classic bike. I own a 2023 Triumph Speed Twin (reviewed on your other channel by Dave and John). But as I’ve said before, The Classic Motorcycle Channel is my favourite channel. On the other side of the world in Australia, there’s nothing I enjoy more than to hear Dave express his seemingly unlimited knowledge and passion for these beautiful old bikes. Thanks for bringing these videos to us.

    Now the first Atlas Srambler was built in 1963 for export , JUST like my 1960 Norton Manxman 650 twins only built for 9 months and only 630 ever built in this country there are only 12 and I own one that was pride of place at the NEC footman James 2009 2010 and 2012 what a Nice bike to ride they are

    For its time. P11 was the best out there . 2500 were made. the yanks loved them, put some trail tyres on it, great as Desert racer. and also as Flat tracker. fetch big money today,

    I have a P11a, G15CS and G15CSR all under restoration down here in Australia. All basket cases, two imported from the US and the P11 I located already here. Currently renovating and building a new man-cave while I chase up the correct missing parts. When the reno's are complete, the resto's will start in earnest. I like that you have the correct P11 air filter, I managed to find the front and rear on different sides of the US and will modify the screen from a Commando unit. Me thinks that's an image of Wayne Gardner on his Rothman's Honda on your T-shirt promoting Mallory Park. Go Aussie 🇦🇺 ☝
    Edit: Forgot to mention your video is great motivation for me to keep going with my quest.

    Always a pleasure to watch your videos all the way through, I like the detail. I rebuilt the engine in my A65 Star, back in the mid 70's and still remember most of what I did so I can appreciate the work you're doing. By the way, that P11 does sound great and ticks over so steadily ....... I always fancied a Commando 750 but it was out of my price range. Keep the videos coming, all the best, Phil

    The Ranger had low pipes for road use, the P11 had the high pipes for desert racing

    Love the videos. Looking forward to watching the A10 progress. I just did the same by building a motocross scrambler out of a pile of A10 super rocket parts. Now racing it in vintage motocross.

    Thank you for this and previous videos. I started watching this channel to watch a review of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which I now own, and from there when I saw your workshop videos it generated my interest in classic British bikes. I'm 62 and can recall some of the bikes shown in the videos from the 60s and 70s and I've had a motor cycle licence since I was 17; however, I have no mechanical skills of knowledge.
    I thoroughly enjoy watching the workshop videos and admire the skill and dedication shown whilst working on these motor cycles. Can I ask you to consider making a video in which you explain the terminology used in the workshop videos, such as advance and retard, tickling the carb, primary chain, wet sump, etc. There are a few more but I've heard which I can't recall sitting here now. Keep up the good work. Skills such as yours needs to be continued to be taught and passed on.

    I’ve often wondered if it’s possible to bore out and sleeve carbs, how it would be done, and what materials should be used, or even if it’s wise to do it. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge of this subject.
    I guess the question is whether a very thin aluminium sleeve could be used instead. Maybe it would work if the carb was warmed up, and the sleeve chilled first?? But I concur, there is no substitute for a completely new unit.

    A great Channel and here is something you may not know. For 1963 BSA did a RGSS as well as a RGS. Not widely heard of and not a Spitfire. The Number for a Spitfire always has another A in the frame number and for 1963 it was GA7A. The Rocket Goldstar Scrambler was Always GA10. One of the best looking bikes they ever did and in a metallic red to die for. They built about 273 of them and they are easy to spot as the frame is stamped GA10 and there are no rear footrest loops. I have just got one of these bikes. Google 1963 BSA Rocket Goldstar Scrambler and let me know what you think. Cheers.

    and the First Atlas was built on the 21st of april 1962 export only at that time the first 650cc twin were built from November 7th of 1960 my one was built on the 7th of december 1960 one month later most were exported to Joe Berliner New Jersey and started life with the US army air core

    Selfishly excited to see the A-10 Scrambler project starting! I have a similar project and recently tore into the gearbox with courage derived from your previous vlogs. Might crank shimming be covered in future vlogs? Thanks! Bob

    What is the name of the company that you recommend for the regrind of the crank. I have a Matchless G9 that need the crank reground. Brilliant channel ,love watching your stuff.
