At the end I meant to say I satin varnished Cap's shield!
TheOriginalStandingGuy hm, maybe I messed up the link or it may be gone - truth is I don’t post there much. More here on my community tab.
Your painting of Spider-Man's arms hurts my heart.
fair enough :D
Contrast paint is amazing. From Star Wars Legion to Warhammer 40k to Zombicide and now Crisis Protocol.
This is terrific! I just started painting (beginning with Legion a few weeks ago) and really want to give Crisis Protocol a try; this looks right up my alley!
You make this look so easy! I hate painting (I usually convince my wife to do it LOL) but after watching this, I feel like you've helped me a lot!
Awesome!
Can we all just stop for a moment and notice Jared's hair? I wish I had hair that nice.
Ken Mason mine?
@@TheMiniJunkie yeah man! From a guy that constantly scopes other dude's hair, you've got the salt and pepper Superman look going!
Ken Mason wow, thank you!
AMAZING ! Thanks so much for these tutorials!
Excellent video. Thank you for this. Hope to see more of you painting Crisis models with contrast.
I've just discovered your channel, and I like it. Please make more videos when you can, I'd love to see them!
Great stuff! Getting the starter set in a few days, really excited to paint these!
Hey Merry Xmas!!! (and welcome back!) Love that starbucks cup :-)
He’s back! A Christmas miracle! Missed your videos!
I have tried Gulliman flesh over zenithal highlights many times and it never works. I almost invariably go back and paint it a flat white and then the Gulliman flesh looks great.
Nice job on these. Glad to see you back to making videos and taking a crack at the Crisis Protocol guys. Look forward to more in the future.
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Excelsior! Welcome back, and Merry Christmas!
Really loved your video. They all came out great. Really love your technique on Iron-man.
And this is great timing as I just received this game as a gift. Thanks for your hard work.
draco139 awesome, thank you!
LOL. "I'm just cracking out miniatures all day long...and not painting them." Yes, the weird unexplainable dichotomy of our hobby. The compulsive need to collect and acquire as many minis as humanly possible, then develop total apathy towards them once we actually get them. Also, I know I would do the EXACT same thing, hence why I won't permit myself the luxury of buying my own 3D printer. Cheers Mr. Jarret!
Oooh, they looked awesome 😍😍
Merry Christmas to you too!!
Well done on the new job. Merry Cthulhumas.
Great video, love your Cap!
Excellent as always! Congrats on the new job as well! Have a great Christmas.
thanks for this christmas present. as always a great video
Great to see a new MiniJunkie video! Well done. Happy New Year Jarret!
Rob Harget you too Rob :)
Nice Job
Welcome back! Thank you for this video. I just recently got the hulk and plan on getting the others to paint. happy holidays to you and the family!
You make me wish to comeback to painting! Subscribing!
Wow
Merry Christmas Mate .... hope you and your family have good a holiday time .... keep them videos coming 👌👍
Been on the fence about buying CP, since I'm not super into the game, just the models. After watching this video, I put in my order. My wallet hates you, but I love your video!
Tanks man! Awesome tutorial! It is a pitty the I've jus finished a Crisis Protocol comission with glazes and so....but for the payment I', taking....I better did it that way!! (Specially Iron Man, that's brilliant!!) Great, great job, amazing! Merry Pâinting Christmas!!!! (Sooo looking forward for your videos) Cheers!
PS: I hope you bring to the channels some of the villains!
That new years resolution isn't going well huh 😂😂😂
New sub. Your channel is making me want to get back into warhammer. Haven't painted a mini since 2002
Welcome!
NEW JOB. CONGRATS! I'm happy for you. Merry Christmas. :-)
Patrick Dickson thanks!
What gold color did you use for IM and dis you satin varnish the others?
Hey man! I loved this video. Subbed. I'm wondering if you can show us some projects you've been working on with the 3d printer? I'm just getting into wargaming with a starter set for age of sigmar (btw your videos on nighthauts really helped me) and wondering if a 3d printer is worth the price. Great video, thanks for the tips and tricks! 👍
Which brush (brand and type) do you tend to use?
Winsor and Newton Series 7, size 1 and 2
Always great seeing your videos Mini Junkie. Do you think you would do anymore Star Wars Legion videos? I would love to see you do a Dewback Trooper. Thank you for your videos!
Thanks! Well, to be honest I don't have any SW Legion stuff coming in the near future. Maybe someday, but I'm not sure.
hello, thanks for the video ... great job. now my question, which brush do you use?
I do use several kinds, but the bulk of my painting is done with a #1 sized Winsor and Newton series 7 brush
Using a gloss varnish would keep your Iron Man shiny and metallic while keeping your paintjob safe. In case you really are worried about rub off.
The Tactical Bat yeah I just find gloss can look toyish.
@@TheMiniJunkie yeah it can make it look a little too shiny. I did a matte varnish on mine to give it more of a brushed metal look. The result you got looks great, I love using contrast paints over metallics and I'm glad to see somebody else taking advantage of that.
what about a gloss clear coat on iron man?
For iron man did you prime him white first and then apply the gold?
yes
What paint in citadel gold would you us?
Mr V Retributor Armor
Did you use Vallejo grey primer?
Tony Martinez Badger Stynylrez
Hello! I just wanted to ask...
Why don’t you upload anymore..?
10,000 Subscribers Before Coronavirus Ends? I lost motivation as the channel wasn’t really growing much, plus got a new job that took a lot of my energy. I also went through a long period of not painting although I seem to be back at it. But basically, some new channels have exploded in popularity and I didn’t feel like there was much need or interest for my content anymore.
The MiniJunkie Sir, You Content is Amazing! It’s better than most CZcamsRS! You’ll Grow Soon, Please Upload More..
Merry Christmas!
I take it if you mess up, it’s harder to fix with the contrast paint?
Passiko R a bit yes
The MiniJunkie I’m about to start painting mine. I’m not the best painter but I like how yours is one of the easiest.
I am sorry if I missed it.... which gold did you use for the base coat for Ironman? ps...they all look awesome
Stephen Poulin I believe it was Scale 75 Elven Gold
The MiniJunkie ahhh thank you so much. 😃
What armor is Iron man’s figure based on?
Do you have to use primer
Peter A yes these paints won't work otherwise
Looks good. I’m struggling to not get this game.😊
Robert Stehle I haven’t played yet but I really like the minis and scenery!
The MiniJunkie I do too. It’s just there are so many cool minis and games now. It’s a Golden Age for minis. I’ll probably pick it up in the new year.
Where can I buy that specific paint?
Games Workshop or many hobby stores
I bet you answered this a hundred times...but what brushes do you use ??
TheYeast00whisperer I'm using older Windsor and Newton Series 7 size 1 and 2.
These look great, but I gotta say (cause it’s bugging me) Spider-Man’s arms are wrong. The red goes from the shoulder down the back of the arm to the forearm. Sorry, it’s my OCD.
Oops!
That freaking shield is so annoying to paint! Every time I almost had it perfect I would slip or a random bristle would step over the line 😭😭😭🔥😤
Bruh, you alive? Still making videos?
J alive - yes. On hiatus though, from CZcams.
@@TheMiniJunkie I only left the message here because it was your most resent vid. I like your fantasy miniature painting 👍 found you from the Human male fighter d&d miniature you painted
