Franklin was born mutant. But few years ago the X Men writers wanted to use him and a petty Fantastic Four writer retconned him into a fake mutant and depowered him to prevent them from using him (then proceeded not to do anything with him.)
Recently its mentioned Franklin faked being depowered and might actually be a mutant still.
Don't forget he was blonde and now has a hair more dark tone to resemble more to his dad.

imo Victorious is probably getting a “silent” upgrade (transcended or T3) just like the Warriors Three did last time around. then for mid-month probably Doom. although summer is very close so we’re probably getting seasonal uniforms soon…

Franklin fought Norman Osborn with a toy gun and kept insulting his hair and calling him a loser. That was a ridiculous comic book. It came out during Hickman's run I think which was itself pretty serious and that may have made it seem even more silly. Funny stuff though. The Richard's kids basically just troll the hell out of the villains while waiting around for the family to show up.
So Franklin obviously seems okay. Val. A human type female blast with increase dam? Not special but I like the character. We'll see how this goes. As elsewhere I predict Reed will probably not be a "great" increase because he's pretty cheap to get ahold of. Invisible Woman will probably an awesome uniform since she is a paywall character.
I don't need any of the uniforms on discount here. The new mode or whatever I won't cast any judgements until I see it. I do see swag which is always good imo even if it isn't great swag.

I'm excited, but I gotta be patient. I dont wanna waste resources if Human torch is the mid month. I am slightly sad that there wasnt any skill animations (outside of awakening) where other fantastic four members jumped in.

You also get the new character fully unlocked and the rewards with story mode this pack isn't just for crystals fyi not saying I agree with it just pointing it out

Franklin's model appears to just be Reed's body shrunk down with a new head on top. That's why it looks "thin." They never bothered to change the stretchy proportions.
Valeria is the same. She has the exact same proportions of her mother, a fully grown woman.
