In the kitchen, arched pantries with antique pulls add vintage appeal, while creamy white cabinets are a beautiful complement to the rustic wood island. Luxurious HanStone quartz in a soft pearl shade is both sophisticated and durable on the countertops and pantry. The quartz is echoed in the powder room and laundry room, where it gleams in Calacatta Gold, paired with moody hunter green cabinets. In the principal bathroom, a beaded chandelier, dramatic quartz shower and large freestanding tub are the epitome of romance and relaxation.

Wow... I can't believe the negativity. It's sad that people are so quick to criticize. This home is absolutely gorgeous, every design detail is so well thought of. I love the mix of modern and vintage elements creating a fresh take on the "modern farmhouse" aesthetic! Well done Roxanne, don't let the haters get you down!

I’m in love with this entire home! Every choice was so well thought out and just made sense as she explained it. I love that it’s a home for a real family the way a real family lives. But I have a question-was the drawer she opened at the end full of recipe cards? If so, and you have the space, that’s genius!!

How much money do these people have in Canada? I know that none of my friends can afford to buy in Toronto and are moving to NS or buying in Hamilton or really outside of the city. I bought in the States and I can’t even fathom the idea of renovating my kitchen or bathrooms like that, I buy my materials at Home Depot and Lowe’s and even consider in that labour is cheaper down here I just can’t do it. Beautiful house, btw.

As someone who loves gold, I have to say… that’s too much gold.
Same, but I think the color of the gold has a lot to do with it.
Perhaps if she had gone with an antique brass or brushed gold then it would have looked more old world and less flashy/cheap.

Aspects of it draw your eye but under scrutiny, it's bland and very cold. Just my opinion. Everything is delux but not very well tied together. It has very little that is of interest, just expensive "stuff" IMO.

The gold framing abound shower is not good. So much gold looks a bit gaudy an cheapens the look.
She's one of those people who didn't learn to speak properly - finishing each sentence on a high as if it is a question - so it is very hard to follow. Gold is already on the way out so that will need to be switched soon. I think you fully accomplished that your shower looks like it has been there for a long time as it looks like it is from the 80s. There are very expensive finishes and ideas but things do not go together. If she maybe kept the white windows and trim and used nikel finishes, this would be glamorous. I would say, yes this is farm house which means all over the place.

Agreed the gold everywhere was very much an eyesore. Frankly I’m not a fan of open kitchens but I know I’m in the minority in the world apparently.
Plenty of people love gold, people continue to say it’s going out while many still choose to use it and never change it. To each their own, I love all of our design choices and stand by each one. ❤️
