Sorry to sound negative but it feels like three individual houses rolled into one. It has four areas to eat a breakfast bar and 3 dining tables. I find the main living room with the kitchen works the best in my opinion. Then after that it seems to lose its direction.
This is the most beautiful house I’ve ever seen!! I think they need more than one guest room, though, with that lower level entertaining space. I would think everyone would want to stay in that incredible blue room. The daughter’s room would be my fantasy room-the wallpaper makes the room, I think. But, oh my, the master bedroom is so stunning, I don’t have words to express how much I love it. The use of color is what I love and wish to see more of!
The first time I'm gonna comment on videos from this channel coz' this one is absolutely amazing. I can feel the closeness of the family to their extended families and friends by looking at how they designed their space.
I like the kitchen & family area, the formal dining room just doesn’t gel with the outside location at all, more like what you’d find at a city apartment. The other area looks more like a bar at a nightclub, & a restaurant at a business hotel rather than a warm & inviting place for an extended family get together.
Beautiful job overall. Two thing bother me, which isn't much. The first dining room is wonderful but looks like a corporate conference room. The basement is wonderful as well but I get strong restaurant vibe from it. I see the logic of the ceiling but it does look like an airport fine restaurant. This guy knows what he is doing and luckily he had some input BEFORE it was built. I have never realized how powerful varying the ceiling heights makes ever if it is only by a few inches, no vaults are needed, that still amazes me. Try lowering say a hallway, only like 4 inches, in a basic box house, it really is strange. BTW, he STOLE my color scheme! That mantel "problem" became an asset.
Now are days where designers or home owners should I say makes the basement more more beautiful than the main living area that I will always always crush on!! Love your basement design to the MAX!!!
I can’t imagine any family of 4 needing this much space even if you entertain large amounts of people from time to time. The dining rooms look more like corporate board rooms. Even if I had that much money to burn it still seems almost ridiculous, but that’s just my opinion.
They have a large family (including friends) and like to entertain. You can’t imagine it because it’s not your life. It’s not money being burned if they’re using the space to actually enjoy life with people. Actively and intentionally engaging in life with others is one of the most necessary and invaluable aspects of living. It’s part of what makes you alive
Yeah, you can’t imagine cause it’s not your life. God I’m so tired of people hating on shit just because they don’t see themselves in it. Obviously the people who own this house love it, so that’s all that matters. Being bitter is so damn ugly.
Very interesting! It's not my style but I can appreciate the design. Very daring to do that asymmetric fireplace in the bedroom. Props to the designer.
I like the moss-ochre-indigo decor colour palette but despite its warmth, there seems to be a heavy, almost clinical starkness to almost every space. Technically perfect but spiritually incomplete.
well said. That is exactly it IMHO, "technically perfect but spiritually incomplete." I'm going to use this expression and pretend like I thought of it first, ;) it's brilliant!
Agreed, the kitchen is such a hodge-podge and the whole aesthetic is such a muddle of all the hip buzz items like accordion doors. I will say the master bath is nice but does feel very hotel-like. The fact that there's an entire separate "catering" kitchen in the basement is insane. This is probably the second home of a billionaire.
AMAZING unexpected classic-contemporary blend! Only critics: Kitchen seats color felt a bit bland and light fixtures over dinning table could go a little lower. Love how it feels warm and liveable but yet modern!
If this is the most luxurious modern country home they have shot, I would hate to see the worst. This is just cold and blah. Heck, even the decor looks like something bought at a discount thrift store.
The house and the surroundings are mind-blowingly gorgeous but what it misses, in my humble (inexpert) opinion, is a touch of humour. These are all too organized, too symmetrical, like this is an extremely high-end hotel and not someone's living space. If the owners use it seasonally then it makes sense. But if they live in it, where is the sense of chaos, where are the little touches of people living in it, the inside jokes? I distinctly remember two H&H videos, one where the owners had a table napkin framed and mounted on their living room containing a rough drawing the couple drew together of their first dream home. In the other one, the motif of a bicycle strewn all across the kitchen because they owned a bicycle store. These are the quirks that make a house a home. If I had enough money and if I had the good fortune to own a plot in that beautiful open space, I'd probably build a sustainable wood cabin and a wall made entirely of glass so that I can always see the nature I'm surrounded with. But of course, these are all personal preferences. Ultimately, if the homeowner is happy then the designers have done an excellent job in that respect.
Pod So basically internet has become the place where people randomly assume things about other people and throw casual insults at the complete strangers.
Must be nice to have THAT budget. Only part I didn't care for was the "moody" guest room. Why would you want a guest room to feel moody? Make it welcoming!
It's north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There's a renouned Canadian art gallery south of it (the McMichael). I've been to the gallery & wondered why there were so many expensive cars going further north. Now I know.
Finally modern with some sophisticated colors. It has the feel of a high end hotel.
YESSSSSSS that’s how it feels. A really luxurious Hotel, somewhere you will only stay once in a lifetime.
This is absolutely beautiful. I love that it's clean lines and modern, yet a slight rustic contemporary touch too. Just stunning.
I love it, I mean at least it has colours rather than just plain white and greys.
Exactly, I love places that bring a pop of colour!
Brings life to the home.
So much thought went into each space.... One of my favorites thus far...
When they showed the 3rd HUGE dining table I flipped out. How much is this place on airbnb??
I'd remove that crazy lower level lol , but otherwise this is truly a luxurious house u can still call home, if u cud afford it
That walk-in closet is seriously my dream
Finally a home of the rich people that doesn't look like some boring mansion of some boring city.
okay, I can have a basement that looks like a 5-star council hall, no big deal~~
That fireplace mantle is a great example of creative solution
Wow I seriously enjoy the way he explains the design decisions and details. Also this house is classy af. What an enjoyable 10 minutes

Absolutely stunning I'd live here..
Comfortable while Glamorous.. I'm impressed..
Country living at it's Finest..

The bedroom of the daughter looks like straight out of some Wes Anderson film!
I don't love it, but it's a big improvement over the typical Ontario monster home.
WOW! That's really nice and I would love to have parties in that basement.
I love all the clean lines, the colors, and rustic touches. The home feels so warm! The lower level space is spectacular!!
The first time I'm gonna comment on videos from this channel coz' this one is absolutely amazing. I can feel the closeness of the family to their extended families and friends by looking at how they designed their space.
Everything was so fine.. Until my jaws dropped with that basement. Wow wow and wow
God I love pretty much everything about this place!
I like the kitchen & family area, the formal dining room just doesn’t gel with the outside location at all, more like what you’d find at a city apartment. The other area looks more like a bar at a nightclub, & a restaurant at a business hotel rather than a warm & inviting place for an extended family get together.
With that budget, I’d demand power sliding doors.
The basement is just amazing... apart from the rest of the house.
Bravo! This is definitely a forever home. They will be ready for anything. Every room is a feast for the eyes.
Beautiful ... just beautiful. The attention to detail 😍😍😍
That basement is the house!!!!
can I just say.... chair chairs chairs chairs.... it's like a restaurant!
Well i think, its just practical less bling. Normally interiors are done with zero practicality.
Finally a designer bedroom for a kid that is fun and that does not scream adult guestroom. Well done!
Beautiful job overall. Two thing bother me, which isn't much. The first dining room is wonderful but looks like a corporate conference room. The basement is wonderful as well but I get strong restaurant vibe from it. I see the logic of the ceiling but it does look like an airport fine restaurant.

rockshot100 yes Great Wallpaper and colors but fact it’s too narrow with no natural light gives it that cold conference room feel
Now are days where designers or home owners should I say makes the basement more more beautiful than the main living area that I will always always crush on!! Love your basement design to the MAX!!!
HOLY COW!!!!!!!!! THAT LOWER LEVEL!!!!!! Such a surprise! It’s HUGE and it’s gorgeous!!!
It's luxurious indeed. I especially love the beach panels, which can open up the kitchen. Chic and genius!
I can’t imagine any family of 4 needing this much space even if you entertain large amounts of people from time to time. The dining rooms look more like corporate board rooms. Even if I had that much money to burn it still seems almost ridiculous, but that’s just my opinion.
I think they have family and relatives coming over any day. Since they're rich, so you can understand relatives coming over.
It's ridiculous.

I thought the dining room looked like a corporate boardroom too. Although I did like the wall paper
Yeah, you can’t imagine cause it’s not your life. God I’m so tired of people hating on shit just because they don’t see themselves in it. Obviously the people who own this house love it, so that’s all that matters. Being bitter is so damn ugly.
Oh my ... beautifully decorated and designed home but...he's Gorgeous!😉♥️♥️♥️
The kids room is perfect without looking too childish the whole house is beautiful
This project was beautifully executed. It looks elegant, yet warm and cozy. I love it.
Wow. This home was remodeled so well. I just love the color coordinates and architectural design. Thank you.
i love the dinning room, masterbedroom , and of course the basement ! amazing job
That closet though 😍😍😍
The house is beautiful, decor looks high end.
That fireplace solve is genius.
Very interesting! It's not my style but I can appreciate the design. Very daring to do that asymmetric fireplace in the bedroom. Props to the designer.
Not your style? I wonder what you style is?
I like the moss-ochre-indigo decor colour palette but despite its warmth, there seems to be a heavy, almost clinical starkness to almost every space. Technically perfect but spiritually incomplete.

Now this is crazy money! WOW
This really is a beautiful home. But not over done. The formal dining room was my favorite.
I love the master bathroom! Dreamy
I love it! I ❤️ If I had the money, I’d hire him to decorate my house. Beautiful house!
❣️😍❣️
I really like the dining, guest room & the basement hall. Looks so luxurious
Incredible! I love the clean modern country vibe and the basement lounge style is to die for.
Looks like a hotel lobby.
I really love spaces, design and this designer ….
This interior designer did the most !!!: I'm loving the home, the colours as well the greens wooooo yes I live for this
The master bathroom was a stunner! The dining room was another beautiful space
This basement looks like a restaurant my god wow
Such a grand house ! To have an exclusive party space !
This house is out of this world, beautiful work.
Like the basement... And want to see more details of it
Finally a house that is not neutral! I wouldn't choose everything but it's definitely not bland. A lot of diving rooms though lol
It looks so eighties to me even if it looks really expensive ..
It’s those marble fireplaces and that black marble bathroom with the angled mirror. Not my favorite house overall but I do love the dining room.
That lower level is amazing
AMAZING unexpected classic-contemporary blend!
Only critics: Kitchen seats color felt a bit bland and light fixtures over dinning table could go a little lower. Love how it feels warm and liveable but yet modern!
Agreed. Kitchen is totally blah to me.
Kitchen was terrible in comparison to the rest of the house!!
I like modern, but this one seems a bit cavernous, and almost spooky in places... Some nice ideas, but not a real fan. A little cold.
If this is the most luxurious modern country home they have shot, I would hate to see the worst. This is just cold and blah. Heck, even the decor looks like something bought at a discount thrift store.
So beautiful.
He's a talented designer
The interior designer is too good looking 😃
What a spectacular property! Everything is beautiful!
Wow the design is breathtaking! Really enjoyed the colors as well.
There’s nothing whatsoever personal about the kitchen. Cold!!!!
Wonderful!!

Pod So basically internet has become the place where people randomly assume things about other people and throw casual insults at the complete strangers.
@Pod where did THAT come from? Why such animosity? Do you feel better?
@Kamalika Mukherjee I completely agree.
@@rmonson5002 thank you! 😊
Extended family of 30?? Holy moly guacamole!!
IKR! I don't think I know 30 people I'd want to have over for dinner!
Superb work!!!
Choice of colours is putting me to sleep! :D
Very balanced and tasteful home
Now this is elevated taste. Well done!
Beautiful and peaceful EXCELLENT TASTE
WOW 👏
Lil kids r gonna reck this place
Awesome - beauty n elegance ! Great great job !!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌸❤️🙏🏼
The basement is a shocker, that is truly luxurious.. but wouldn’t be under utilized being for the extended family in holidays only ?
only 3 bedrooms, really......kind of weird for such a big house
Suppose what's the point in 5 bedrooms when you only need 3
The color combination in every room, the dining chair barely peaking above table... I feel SEEN
Simply EXCELLENT. Really enjoyed this tour.
NICE JOB!
The whole basement level is amazing! Hold out to the end for the reveal. The rest is meh, like a generic hotel.
Stunning
Wow, what a beautiful home!!
It's sounds like Chillhop music in these latest videos. It's really good.
Huge budget!
Lovely layout. Super Home.
Must be nice to have THAT budget. Only part I didn't care for was the "moody" guest room. Why would you want a guest room to feel moody? Make it welcoming!
To make them leave in the morning! Lol
Where is this gorgeous home located? I’m moving from the beach to a rural area in Florida and want to do something like this on a large piece of land.
It's north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There's a renouned Canadian art gallery south of it (the McMichael). I've been to the gallery & wondered why there were so many expensive cars going further north. Now I know.
Incredible, and quite lovely.
Masterful!
It is so beautiful thank you so much for sharing
Love it. Always dreamed of a big family with a home to house them all. I imagine a lot of good times happening there:)
Beautiful house.
Nice details, use of color...
Really well executed!!!
Looks too cold
