      Nothing wrong with talking about/explaining what the drummers are playing and how they tuned the drums for the video, as long as it's done at the end of the demo.. This drummer doesn't talk in these videos because he doesn't speak english..He's Russian..But i know exactly what you mean when you speak of drummers who yap too much and play for like 1 minute..

    • @zacharymore8353
      @zacharymore8353 Před 7 lety +6

      I'm exactly where you are right now. I've been trying to decide between the two but I've decided that I like the maple over the stage custom's birch. I think the Decade Maple is made slightly better as well.

    • @adrianpunga1998
      @adrianpunga1998 Před 7 lety +5

      It drives me crazy that there are so little videos with the Pearl kit (
      There is something that i don't like as well - the pearl decade seems to have a weak resonance on toms... Maybe it's beacause a lot of videos shows you the kit with the stock heads,and those are shit. It's a problem because you can't actually hear the kit at its best.

    • @zacharymore8353
      @zacharymore8353 Před 7 lety +2

      A lot of that is videos with poorly tuned toms and another part of that is that when toms are mic'd people like to cut the sustain/resonance of toms. BUT the Maple Decades have shallower shells (10x7 and 12x8 instead of having a more "normal" 10x8 and 12x9) and that means the toms have a shorter resonance. You can still tune them to have pure notes, they just cut off a bit quicker. This is one of the reasons I'm after the Maple Decades because I like the shorter sustain.

    • @zacharymore8353
      @zacharymore8353 Před 7 lety +3

      Also the Stage Custom has the same size shells as decade maple. They are both 10x7, 12x8, 16x16

    • @adrianpunga1998
      @adrianpunga1998 Před 7 lety +1

      Hm,thanks for the info! I forgot about the fact that short sustain is because it is cut intentionally :)
      I noticed that the decade's sizes are a fusion standard at the moment,so this is definetely not something i am looking at when comparing the yamaha and pearl. The main difference here is the wood i'll say,because it seems to me that both kits offer pretty nice hardware.

      @@leonaharfouche8949 I gotta say I prefer to hear drum reviews that are miced up like this as it gives a truer, more honest overall sound and shows how each drum is balanced against the other. THIS is what you would hear if you were in the room. And it sounds great.

    to Drumcenter cz.. Just a POSITIVE REQUESTS. I've watched a lot of your videos to try to compare between each drums. Would it be possible to : play always the same drum patterns when you introduce a drum ? Do you tune the drums on the same skin pressure? ( I mean on each different videos, is that the same pressure that the drums are tuned ?) and also, would it be possible to make a low, mid and High tuning for the drums patterns ? if you adjust the requests or not, Keep doing your job, I enjoy your videos.
