Alright this one! Well done….. i am impressed as a big Gavin Harrison Fan this is on his footsteps. Only some difficult passages are to realize. Let’s say okay. Gavin is à perfect drummer. It’s difficult to double. But you are not so far, man👍🫶

The only thing bugging me is the snare sound. When only snare parts, sounds great, but in orchestration, sounds kinda weak, soft and muffled. Probably because of some mic settings or what.

For this you can only ask Gavin . Ghost Notes is his invention , for all it’s 4/4. it’s probably impossible to take that. Gavin is always putting a Ghost Note in between. Realize it , actually „it Leads to this“ from Pineapple Thief…… nevertheless this guy here is genious.
I myself learned it by just playing and trying to put a ghost note between every Snare hit😅
I think if you just try it will work out someday, was the same for me
This is a kind of how you read the Music and how your Style is. I mean , lets take simple 4/4 like Gavin mostly uses. It depends of course on the kit you have. Mostly , ghost notes are those in between the Rhythm you Play, May it be bells or small toms. A Hit in between is a ghost note, in 4/4 it’s really easy because the beat allows you to put this in between. Tip: Porcupine Tree live: Fear of à blank planet…. Plenty of ghost notes…. Amazing 🫶👍

Is it just me or is the second tom to the right a bit silent in the mix? I'm not a drummer, so maybe you just hit it light on purpose - and it does sound fine as a whole I guess - but to me it looks like it not recording.
I also like that you build your kit for that specific recording, using everything.

Thank‘s mate! Yeah the first tom is a little louder but I like it that way, because it has a nice accent. Yeah I practiced quite long but since I have my new beaters for my kick pedal, it‘s so much easier for me. I too hope that more people will see me in future😁
