Thought I would upload an updated Pneuma cover while I finish working on the next album cover! I hope you enjoy!
Dear lord please keep uploading the drums only tracks. They are invaluable for making my backing tracks. I cant upload them because they get copyright restrictions but you have made my friends and I (guitar and bass) jam session soooo much better. I use a program to split the original track but drums always come out weak.
Keep playing 99% perfect. I need it! lol
Kindly ask...Please do other albums asap!
You are the perfect drummer for us. Always on time and available to jam!
Oh, and yeah you now vs 2yrs ago is a HUGE jump. Good job
banana bread
Excellent 👍🏻
which album are you covering next?
🙏
Who’s here after watching Mike Portnoy on Drumeo? Amazing cover dude
hah! You caught me. Just goes to show, it can be done...
+1
Hahahaha .. me!
guilty lmao!
этот парень потратил точно не меньше 6 часов
Average listener cannot comprehend how hard this is.
True!
Get over yourself mate.
That's basically every Tool song. So much syncopation going on
@@user-rk3qn2ti3gNah dude I get that prog fans generally and Tool ones in particular can be insufferable, but in this case it’s actually true. I’ve got a couple of non-musician friends who listen to Tool. They know it’s hard, but they don’t really *know*. They’re completely oblivious to exactly just how surreally difficult this song is. And again, they’re Tool fans. Can you imagine if you tried to explain it to someone who’s never heard ANY prog rock before?
@@paulussturm6572 fair point and well explained 👍
Making one of the most complex pieces of drumming ever composed look like child’s play. Fucking perfection. Bravo.
100% agree.. this is top shelf good
it's litterally child's play now ;)
Lies.
I know right? Flawless
and just like that, a 17 yr old kid puts out the greatest Tool drum cover from his parent's basement. From a drummer literally twice your age... hell of a job. Don't let this talent fade.. you're special.
more like 3.5 times his age
@@SmexyBubbles I’m 35 that’s why I said literally lol
Yeah, to hold up with Danny Carey is extremely impressive. That much more so at your age. You’re a true talent.
I didn't even know this could be covered so precisely. Incredible.
@@SublimeAudio4Life Fo sho.
@@SublimeAudio4Lifeoh, really?
I thought it would be impossible. That was incredible.
It's not precisely at all. Decent, but there's a whole layer of intricacy this guy misses.
@@SublimeAudio4LifeI honestly like to see ya try. It takes practice to record edit and do a cover nothing you can do everyday easily. And this guy is really tight. ( I’m better than everyone else.)
Um, ok! Has Danny seen this because, holy shit kid did good!
I was literally just wondering the same thing the very second I scrolled onto your comment.
He’s good
But it’s one thing covering it and a completely different thing writing it
@@walkaz the fact he was able to cover it so well is incredible.
@@walkaz he’s sharing a video of himself covering the song. Never compared himself to Danny Carey. Why would you even try to shit on him by saying something so backhanded?
@@walkaz writing something like this is actually so much more easier than learning it or covering it. Most writing for drumming is doing what feels natural. Danny has a very specific sound that’s his comfort zone. It just happens to be something that’s difficult for rock drummers to emulate. Jazz fusion drummers would have a much easier go at it tbh.
How has Drumeo NOT gotten this dude yet?
Bro is literally flying in the breakdown section. Legend.
As a 54 year old man (old as fuck, I know) who has played drums (mostly Rush) since I’m 14, I can say, YOU fucking rocked it dude. Absolutely amazing. Covering Danny Carey is NOT easy. Very impressive. Rock on!!!
You bagged a hot broad after you divorce bro don’t worry about your age you’re doing just fine
Just remember, Danny Carey is a 62 year old man and he still rocks. Hard to believe.
@@tysonl79probably still does hallucinogens too lol
Paulpeligri - I’m almost 62. My first concert was Rush when I was 16.
I can’t agree with you more. Ty has the whole polyrhythm thing nailed, in a way most anyone can’t even appreciate. I can’t wait for the day he meets Danny. Both brilliant drummers.
Didnt realize there were 2 of us out here...
This channel is criminally undersubscribed.
After watching 3 minutes of this as my first video from this guy, I have to agree with you on this.
Unfortunately, true talent is hardly ever really noticed on CZcams. It's either something really stupid, really annoying or pointless that gets all the views and subs. Sad but true.
time time time, this man is a beast
The best cover about Tool that Ive ever seen
Check out Johnkew
Check out Jonathan Webster - Vicarious
@Albertvasquez1609 Yeah, he rocked it! Thanks!
I will NEVER understand how he remembers what to play. 11 minutes of madness.
The human brain can remember petabytes (that is millions of GB of memory) so one song is super super simple to play. It looks impressive because the Drumeo clip maybe but that was done on the spot.
Months or even yeras of practice, not only drumming, practicing this song again and again. That's how I learn guitar at least. One of the hardest songs on drums tho, his skills are sick
There are different levels of memory. Once you practice something long enough (enough repetitions), it gets stored in the small brain, the autopilot
The more things are automatic, the less you need to spend worrying about playing and can concentrate on bigger chunks, like the overall arrangement
Are you not a musician by chance? Not smack talking at all just curious. I can remember most notes played by each instrument in at least 200 records.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
6:55 ....got damn son! 🤯
C'est incroyable!
Yeah. From that point forward is just godly
if you havent, check out his poly shorts, insane
Just insane.
As a guitarist of over 13 years, it still amazes me how drummers can move all their limbs independently and in rhythm.
I'm a bassist of a hundred years, and I'm no different of opinion and awe of our drum-led brethren than you are...
There's no cover on youtube as good as this by a stretch...you, my man just got a subscriber. Holy Cow this is soooo good.
100% Achievement Unlocked
I imagine how mutch pride you feel playing this "final boss" song so nicely. Congrats 👏🏾👏🏾
Only drummers can actually fully appreciate the sheer inhuman level this is. It's sick. Well done man. Absolutely amazing.
and guitar players ! but the drums are where its at in tool ! well said ! and well executed cover bro
I’m not a musician and I can appreciate it for sure
Absolutely the best cover of the polyrythm tom section I've seen, unbelievable skill!
This kid has skills that don’t come around that often. I believe that there’s a level to things you can learn, and the rest you either have it or you don’t.
very very well said
not really. If you play an instrument you only need effort, time, and concentration to get to any level you want. But you have to work hard for it.
@@mendronesgreally? there’s no such thing as talent?
@@hanrip2 "talent" means you're gonna have an easier time progressing, that's all. Some people need more pratice to get to a certain level and others need much less - there's no "built-in" limit to how good praticing gets you
Anyone can do anything
As someone else mentioned here, this is so more impressive than most people realize. It’s so hard and technical. I’m positive this took weeks (months) of hard practice (work)…and the work paid off. That is fantastic!
That little smirk after the intro because he knows he’s about to straight blow this outta the water!!! My dude my dude. The best I’ve seen of any Danny Carey covers. All the set up the tuning the sound is dead on man. Insane!!! 🔥
Precision is his middle name. Dude nicely done. Best I've seen of all attempts.
Please don't stop posting, when I see your videos I wish I could go back and start learning drums when I was younger. Great cover, just as usual
I think the same exact thing when I watch his videos...though I'm going to start calling them "offerings". This was awesome...and he never looks phased. I'm 41 and just recently started learning. I know I'll never get to this level, but it's fun to envision myself doing some cool shit like this!
@@justinstainback9299 hey man, I'm 30 and just got back on learning drums, we are in this together!
If you've not started any time is a good time. And if you started and stopped, any time is a good time to start again.
Have a look at people's progression time-lapse videos online. It's truly amazing how much you can improve in a short period of time. And get lessons once a month if you have work commitments, you have a month to do "homework".
Drumming is my life release. its never too late to start learning.
@@xwindshooter1817 thank you for reaching out I appreciate it, I am actually practicing everyday! :)
@@justinstainback9299as long as you are enjoying the moments sitting behind your kit with your sticks in hand, and feet on kick and hi-hat pedals... then it's all perfect. And don't forget to remind yourself, " Who are you doing this for ? And that there will always someone better. "
Play for YOURSELF.
The only person you should try to be better than, is YOURSELF.
Only 30 minutes per day of strong practice, will surprise you of how fast you will improove week after week. 🤟🤟🍻
And those kind of odd rythm time signature like TOOL, are very hard to understand. 😟
That was absolutely incredible. Tool needs to have you guest drum this live in one of their concerts
Difficulty 10/10. Wow! That was absolute
Mathematical equation solved. 👌👊
That was AMAZING! Absolute perfection, I hope Danny sees this, nice work!
How in the literal freaking hell did this little dude just pull this off?!!?!?!? I've been playing roughly 45 years, been playing rock and metal around 30 years, and I can't do this!!!!! YOU ARE THE FREAKING MAN!!! I truly think the only other person (I am aware of) that could come close to this performance, other than Danny, is JohnKew and he stopped putting out video's years ago!
Thank you for coming in. You've passed the audition. When can you start? Much Respect! Really well done.
Haha thanks so much man, I appreciate it! I still have lots to learn but I gave it a shot!
Drummers hunt for years to find the “snare sound”…. And you found it….
Excellent cover Sir…..
Young man, you’re already becoming legendary. Keep practicing away and may all your drumming wishes come true for you. You’ve very obviously put in the work.
I was convinced that no human being can play this drum track (of course, we all know that DC is some alien octopus/human hibrid), and boy was I wrong. Ignore the "aw it's not 100% accurate" trolls, this is god tier drumming 🔥 I sincerely hope that you'll find fellow musicians and make a band, your potential is off the charts!
The time signature of this song is crazy.
signatures :)
Which one?! 😅
This deserves more views and likes. Truly incredible that anybody other than Danny can play this song
Holy jebus! 17 yr old killing it! Great job 👏🏻 tool needs to bring you up on stage, that would be sick!
How you only have 27k subs is beyond me. You absolutely CRUSHED this.
This kid is fucking good. A lot of people don't realize how difficult this tune is to play on drums. Once you crack the code of 6's and 5's, you should get it. But, I'm still trying at 49. Watching this has helped. I'm almost there...fantastic job, my man.
I'm (and I can bet most people) am thoroughly impressed. Amazing technique, feel, musicianship, dynamics, all of it.
Somehow I’ve managed to find myself here for the last 2 hours watching your videos and I can’t get enough. I’ve played ever since I was 8 and I’m NOWHERE near your level kid. You’re absolutely incredible and have such a bright future ahead of you. And You look like you genuinely enjoy what you do and that’s what we love to see. Keep it up my man 🤘🏻
This is by far the best cover of this song I’ve seen to date. Danny has such nuance in his playing, particularly in his fills that so many people miss in covers. This was nearly perfect
Holy cow!! Incredible!!! This is such a difficult piece. I've been playing 32 years and cant even come close to playing this. Bravo for an incredible performance!!
That deserves a follow. 100% nailed it.
it's ridiculous how much talent this kid has.... You can almost see him doing the math of the time signatures. Incredible.
I've watched this a dozen times and I still get chills watching now
Amazing performance. A perfect Danny Carey’s cover. Tool are an another dimension
7:00 this entire section tickles my brain! The skills it takes to keep those in sync.. takes real talent!
If you look back at his channel, he covered this song 3 years ago and god he’s improved massively.
I think this is my favorite drum cover ever.
Jesus this is UNREAL, that extended breakdown is so tough and you nailed it. Amazing stuff.
I'm sitting here....Watching.... Listening.....and saying to myself....as well as out loud..... Damn..... This kid is REALLY REALLY Fuc#ing Good..... No.... This kid is Fuc#ing Awesome..... Because.....He just absolutely crushed one of the most difficult songs to cover.... Danny Carey is not in a class of his own......
He invented the class..... Just an amazing job by you! Perfect 👌🏼
Ty- well done young man! I agree you should post the drums only track and I can lay down the bass to it and we can do a virtual cover. This would be awesome. 😊🙏🏻
Mad props young man. That’s not a easy song to play. Poly rhythm with those electron pads.
Very well done, young man! You made Danny proud!
Sun Becoming!
the attention to the detail its the most impressive part. Sir you are a true legend! Holly shit!
Probably the best drum cover of this banger I've heard.
Standing applause to you, gentleman! You've nailed it, greatly done!
You Murdered this ! GR8 job, all the feels wrapped up in this cover 🤘🏻
I've been playing for 50+ years and have to say at 17 years old you have a great opportunity for a great career! Keep rocking!
Love that you did the 3 snare flams during the breakdown at the end. Even Danny doesn't do it live!
At your age and playing this level!!! You keep this up and you will go places.
Fuck man, 41yrs old here from tiny island on the Atlantic, this brought tears to my eyes... what a talent, don't let it go to waste!
Wow i say Wow this is a insane talent.
That snare tone is 👌
The fact he did not only this album back to back he did 10,000 days too and makes it looks so easy is so god damn impressive! Keep it up Ty
Definitely the best CZcams cover
Imagine composing a song for ten years, and some kid comes and nailed it ❤ Way to go buddy! @Tyler Visser
*Again, you're an absolute beast.*
Flawless. As someone who has watched Dany play this song a billion times, let me tell you that your timing is amazing. You did an amazing job!
Best Pneuma drum cover ever released. You nailed the core sound and vibe so well. And all the little details. Impressive.
Now this is impressive as hell.
Dude… that was PHENOMENAL! I can only dream of playing this 😂
Man you are really crushing the game with this type of content. The non standard poly rhythmic type drumming. For the record this one crushed your last Pneuma cover. The detail is outstanding. Like the rising and falling rimshots during the middle section at 6:25.
Very cool man
This was more of a mathematical equation for most drummers. Great job man!
Wtf brooooo, i’m still having goosebumps after watching your cover. Truly a master at his arts.
Tyler, you absolutely nailed it, one of Danny's finest efforts I believe!
To answer an old commercial. Where's the beef? There's the beef, you found it. Nice job.
Amazing Job! I really never like or comment on anything, but this warrants an "atta boy"!
bro that was a fkn trip, absolute amazing
What I love best about your playing is no frills, no unneeded head banging, you play the drums, the way they are meant to be played. You let your playing speak for itself, and for that I am grateful. Nice job man!
I mean, I get your point but we as a drummers gotta understand that every one might have different ways to express themselves, I always end up making a lot of faces and headbangs that I don't notice doing minutes after lol
who gives a sh** if someone head bangs while they play??? The way people want to express themselves while they are playing is how they are "meant" to play.
@@duwaynesteurer4287 I do. That’s why I commented ;) it’s an opinion there fella. My point is that he plays drums and doesn’t add all the unnecessary “look at me” fluff, (the fluff that 99% of the time has nothing to do with drumming and is not needed, head banging being one example).
@@minidiggin thank you it's refreshing to see this comment and I agree with you. I don't mind drummers that get in the mood that make facial expressions or something like that, but all the useless fluff is just pathetic to see, at least for me. Don't forget that music is a listening experience, eyes aren't and shouldn't be involved in the slightest
@@minidigginyeah so true, fuck when people enjoy what they do... how annoying of them.
This deserve much more attention. What a great cover. You did a really good job!
Amazing work, and you are still so Young, I hope that drumming world Will hear about you in the near future, Best wishes from Poland!
Mike portnoy showed how hard this is and you just killed it - best cover out there - they should invite you to a concert to play with them! 👏🏻🤘🏻🥃
I smell a future drum-virtuoso!
Phenomenal. You have a gift, brother. Keep it up 👏👏👏
I just press like before I even listen to your videos now. Your name is a seal of quality!
Bro.....killed it
Great pleasure watching and LISTENING to your version of Pneuma! Amazing sound! And you've used each and every piece of your kit :) Way to go Tyler 🤘
You Sir are quite simply outstanding! That was absolutely phenomenal
Have any researchers ever connected electrodes to the head a drummer as great as this? I can only imagine the activity it would reveal.
The kid loves it ! You can see the joy in his face !👍👍
amazing performance and great video and sound quality. Rocking the white socks as well ! Love it. Wish you all the best for your future videos :D
Looking forward to you taking over the reigns of Johnkew and being the best DC cover drummer on this platform. You deserve way more eyes on your content. Amazing stuff man, you're inspirational.
Much better than Portnoy's performance in Drumeo. Sorry .
Great job !
Portnoy had 5 hours to play it, how is that even a fair comparison? Ridiculous.
This is the best tool drum cover ive heard on this song, and to get it down at 17 years old is fucking crazy. You have my utmost respect.
Dude!! Are you kidding me? Mimicking Carey is a tall task and you nailed it. Polyrhythms alone are something a small amount of percussionists can do.
My one question is simple…why are you not making your own music?
You should have your own band, creating your own sounds!
Great job, man! Keep it rolling!
Total respect!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Unfortunately I don’t have a proper band yet, but I’m full of ideas and would love to create some stuff.
Fantastic Ty! That was sick AF 🤘💥💥💥🤘
Cheers man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@tyvisser great job your pnuma tool drum cover
Being a drummer myself I subscribe to a lot of drummer channels but yours is by far the best! I love Tool and not many drummers do their songs. This song in particular is my favorite!!
To a fan of Danny Carey and Tool, this is awesome… to someone who knows and understands percussion, it’s miraculous. Especially at this accuracy… this is pure gold.
P.S. anyone else see a small resemblance of a young Neil Peart here? Maybe it’s just me…
Holy shit...you KILLED it!!!
