It is actually multiplying the price by 5 for just a Maserati logo. Doesnt offer anything different from what s already on the market at between 10 and 20% of that price.

How many electric boat alternatives are there out there?

Shouldn't have told me the price. Now its just a joke. My guess was 300K US. That wouldn't buy all the seat cushions.

Guess I'll be the first to make the joke: Hope you guys were on the look out for sharks.

why do people dub stupid background music in videos?

because the video isn't interesting enough to hold your attention otherwise!

Agreed! Here we have a "first experience' video on a unique product that looks more like a promo video for Maserati. As a boater, I'd have appreciated the sound (or lack there off) and water slapping on the hull. That would have given me the virtual ride.

Beautiful but charging for a brand label rather than anything substantially new. I think that Candela offers far more for far less.

Amazing boat but nthing justifies a price tag like that.

After seeing several videos of electric boats it strikes me that this kind of power seems ideal for small pleasure craft that are used for short trips on weekends, and spend much of their time moored in a marina. Electrification seems to be much more of a match to these than cars - silent running so you can hear the splashing water, no oil or waste fuel dripping into the lake, quietness for those living along the shores.
So why then are all these electric boasts so damn expensive? Even the non-Maserati branded ones are quadruple or more the cost of a conventionally powered boat. Is it that they are generally ulra low volume, production, or even one-off hand-built prototypes? You would think should cost, at the most, only about a Tesla more than a diesel powered boat of the same spec. I guess I don't understand the complexities of marine electrification.

    Is the charger included???? Lol

What a waste of electric power. They should have gone with a hydrofoil design at that price. Far more efficient, more range and smoother ride.

Price is insane. Pass. BUNCH of Rivas all day for that money.

2.8 million dollars for a boat with a 40 mile range? Pathetic. I really can say that nobody has any issue with electric vehicles other than the fact that no matter how good they get they can't give you the range, lower price point, and quick chargers everywhere. Make those problems go away and then maybe I'll think of electric as an alternative.
