- Raag Kedar, also known as Raag Kedara, is a Hindustani classical raag. Named after Lord Shiva, the raag is placed on a high pedestal in the realms of Indian classical music. It is characterised by a lot of complex turns, which are brilliantly melodious but difficult to express in words. It is generally accepted that there is much thermal energy in this melody and hence it is regarded as the Raagini of Raag Deepak.

Ulhas Kashalkar is a Hindustani classical vocalist, born in 14 January 1955 into a musical family in Maharashtra. He was initiated into music by his father Shri. Nagesh Dattatreya Kashalkar, an advocate and a musicologist. While his music remains deep rooted in tradition, the listeners revel in the experience of listening to a new gayaki. A torchbearer of our pristine tradition, he continues to enthral and take his audiences on an ecstatic journey through his music.
This baithak was held at the initiative of Ved Gupta as a part of bazm e Khas foundation live concerts.

Lekin aaj inko tanpure per sangat de rahe hai vo apni kanton se bhari kathorvani se kedara raag r oopi maata ko Peet peet kar lahuluhan kar rahe hain. Inko anek janmo tak gurujano ki laaten khane per hi gaayan Vidya kucchh alp matra me prapt ho sakti hai.Haan Manta ka taaj palena aaj ke yug me bahut saralta se manage kiye jaane ka vishay ho gaya hai.
