Afterwards , I had a shot with the Temptations . But , we had established our own sound in Shalamar and it was Shalamar or nothing for me .

Prince actually threw Micki out of a party, because he felt that Micki was too friendly with Vanity. I too...as a teenager thought Vanity 6 were some of the finest women I had ever laid my eyes on. But now as a grown man looking back...I see...they weren't all that!
D Lisa Davis was a great replacement for Jody Watley. Mickey Free & the drummer replaced Jeffrey Daniels but had great style. It is hard to say which is the best individuals for the great R & B group Shalamar.

The show also states that Shalamar won a Grammy for Dancing in the Sheets, when in fact, their Grammy is for Dont Get Stopped in Beverly Hills, which was from the Beverley Hills Cop soundtrack. Both songs were included on Shalamars album, Heartbreak.
