It blows my mind Yanks can just jump into a manual without ever driving one in ya lessons
I remember when I learned to drive a stick shift was when I was home for a week from school, after appendicitis surgery to "recover" and my dad left the keys to his Ford F150 on his desk and I drove it until I was comfortable driving with a clutch. Of course, I got caught. lol.

I'm happy for you! Also I think it's great seeing younger folks learning manual. I taught myself at 18 in a '75 Ford pickup. It was a 3 speed on the column. I currently own a '75 Chevelle Malibu sedan that's also 3 on the tree. Not fast or cool but still enjoyable to me. Again congratulations Hoovie! Very excited for you!
