Travel Vlog | Tunis | Day 2

We visited Tunis in the spring when the weather was just right, not hot nor cold, yet sunny and beautiful. Dress in layers because it gets cold at night and windy by the sea.
We visited the marketplace and several masajid (mosques) throughout the Souk. I ordered custom leather shoes for about $11. I bought a drum for less than $5 and an assortment of gifts ranging in price from $1-$8. We did some bargaining and sometimes the prices were just too good to bargain.
We ate lunch at a restaurant by the hotel which was mediocre and pricey in comparison to everything else. Yet the $0.30 street food (fricassee) ended up being the best! Hot, tasty filling. We practiced mindful food choices, opting for cooked food and bottled water to avoid food poisoning.
We visited the ruins of Carthage, the amphitheater and the baths. We walked the corniche at La Marsa and ended the evening with desert at Paul’s.
