YOU CANNOT JUST GUESS AND THROW A NUMBER OUT THERE! As an appraiser you have to KNOW what the item is worth. !!!

Pottery vase is made by Roseville. ROZANE lINE 1917 and I'd pull out $80.00 so fast it would make this Appraisals head spin. It's normally marked in ink stamp Roseville Pottery, Rozane. Ink stamp in black, brown or blue. My piece is marker in a circle pattern. Roseville made the dimple area in either light yellow cream or in the light green. Rose colors were the same on both.

I don't use a dishwasher or a microwave, I love things like that, use them, salt cellars are back in fashion! Btw- that bowl was probably worth more than that.

I absolutely loved and enjoyed this video. Mark Moran is incredibly diplomatic and I wish he could come to my house in Pennsylvania!!!!! I hope in 2018 more of these gatherings take place.

Like the show, but This guy just sort of gives you an idea. Doesn’t seem to really know....he says too often, “if this were...”or”if this is.” He knows way more than I, but don’t you want an appraiser to be absolutely sure?

    • @alfrancis8

I think on the antique shows usually there are a few of them and they discuss and have more time to research and there is also editting of the footage. Here its more actual where he is trying to help as many people as possible. If he had more time or if its a specialized topic it would be different. Here there is a wide scope or items from art to all kinds of antiques and war items etc, its not possible to be a specialist in such a wide range.

I’d love for dr Lori to have a reaction video to this guy. He literally knows nothing about antiques so if he can’t google it he acts like, ehhh it’s not worth much. These are the appraisals dr Lori warns about. Just stop guy! Similar isn’t the same!!!!

That little leather shoe looks a lot like a binding shoe the Chinese houst to bind the females feet from the time of birth so they would always have little feet that was appealing to the male they were going to marrie

The asian vase. You can tell age by the bottom. How it sits. If it sits perfectly flat no rounded edge or light. Its usually older like turn of the 20th century or older. Because porcelain as this piece is will flatten over time by its own weight. Being said tho. This can be faked and is often by sanding. See if theres grain lines. If so it was sanded flat. Remember perfectly flat with a sharp feeling edge is a clue to age.
Im lost in asian art. Its a huge field and pro's know there stuff. Never get asian art appraised by anyone but a asian art professional.

Lmfao. i found the trench art shells artist in seconds. Its Pierre Auguste. The shells are worth a small fortune likely 5k or up.
This guy is a ebay fraud. Take away the laptop and he's the man behind the curtain in oz. What a schlub this joke is.
Auguste would be equivalent to Gaguin in value. 5k is extremely conservative.
