What's your favorite Brendan Fraser film?
I first saw him in Encino Man and later on in George of the Jungle. I was an instant fan. I would say it’s a tie between The Mummy and George of The Jungle.
The mummy 2. I know.
He’s my Indy tho! We all just took a while to realize it.
Encino Man and Airheads...but I'm curious why does nobody bring up Blast from the Past when talking to him? was a pretty good movie!
Mrs. Winterbourne
The mummy
Brendan Fraser getting back the fame he should never have lost is the most wholesome event of the decade.
For Real
This, without a single shadow of a doubt. This brings me infinite joy.
How did he lose the fame initially. Never got the whole story
Why did he lose it in the first place? Sorry, been living under a rock in the past decade.
@@joshuasmith6346 he hurt himself really bad doing his own stunts. I think he even broke his back. Then he went though a bad divorce. I broke my back and ribs 8 years ago, it doesn’t go back to normal, and the weight gain is unavoidable with limited mobility. I used to run 3 miles a day. I’m sure his workouts were way more intense. If you get hurt, and you’re not blessed with a fast metabolism, this is what happens, in Hollywood and in real life.
I'm really glad to see everyone celebrating Brendan Fraser. There's a lot of actors who don't get this kind of come back to the spotlight, but he really deserves it.
Nailed it!!🥰
Sean Astin and Pauly Shore need a comeback . Well Astin comeback , comeback lol
I'm lost. Why does he deserve it?
@Verde Serpia great actor? Mediocre at best.
He's back like a "blast from the past."
You can clearly see how emotional Brendan Fraser is and how much empathy he has for others. It is great shame that society broke him so much that he has trouble speaking.
agreed
I don't think he is broken at all - I think he's just a very emotional person, which is probably one reason he became an actor.
He has had vocal cord surgery. That's why he speaks like he does.
Also he is very nervous and i think also scared to say something wrong.
I love the way Drew listens without interrupting her guests.
she was interviewed a lot of times she knows how it is from the other side ... thats why i cant withstand those other talk show hosts ... always jumping and interupting ... piers morgan is a master in that
@@kacmed Oh yeah especially when the guest has a different opinion from him. Omg I cant stand him
Yes, but she shouts too much, I can´t stand it.
Right. She doesn't interrupt? She's all over the place with her cringe. Jumping off the couch for no reason, screaming every two seconds, i dont know what do you calll that
Best interviewer EVER 🎤♥️🎯
He's the best and kindest person! ❤
When I was 5 y/o traveling from Miami to Orlando (in 1997) I saw him on the same flight. I was telling my brother (8 y/o) "That's George of the Jungle!" and my brother "No, he's not!", "Yes, he is!" and we spent the entire flight like that... When the plane landed, Brendan didn't say a word but he jumped on his seat (like George) and he took his suitcase. At that moment I felt so happy and said "I KNEW IT WAS GEORGEEEE!!!" and he just smiled❤ Since then I've loved him so much!!! Such a kind person that made 2 little kids so happy, letting us believe that we were traveling with George!❤
👏👏👏
OMG what a treasure of a human being ❤️❤️
That is the sweetest story I've ever heard ❤️ (that's also the ringtone for my fiancee George)
That’s a hell of a beautiful memory ❤
That's so cute!!! 🥰
As a 90’s kid The Mummy was OUR Indiana Jones. And it still holds up today!
Oh well said!!! 👏
We even have a ride of it also!
You must be an end of the 90s kid
It's kind of insane how Indiana Jones 5 will be released in 2023.
I was born in the late 80's, so I basically grew up in the 90's. Never saw The Mummy movies, but we did see Indiana Jones. So.... it differs from person to person.
@@redlightmax yeah I know 15 years after Kingdom but I’m really looking forward to it.
He was abused by Hollywood, yet he never let that ruin his attitude. He's so strong. I'm so happy to see him back. He is so incredibly deserving of this. One of the best actors ever and one of the sweetest human beings.
It wasn't Hollywood it was the guy who runs the golden globes.
@@kristalraya730 it was Phillip Berk. He was part of Hollywood. He was part of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, as well as president of the organization that puts on the Golden Globes. When Brendan came out about the sexual assault he received, Hollywood blacklisted him.
I think what makes him so appealing is his genuineness and his vulnerability, his humanity. Something that a lot of Hollywood types seem to lose as their ego consumes them.
The fact that he knows every single name of the people he worked with shows his character, professionalism and humanism. He deserves everything from life.
I was going to say this! I see his interviews, he's not just saying "there's this person who help me do this," he mentions the names! And not just the supporting characters, but also the crew. And I saw some footage where he reply to someone who says hello to him, "Oh hi, we work on xxx movies, right?" Goodness, not many people can do that!
Brendan Fraser looks like a really kind , nice and humble person. I love the way he talks and being real and authentic.
AGREED!
He was a player with women back in tarzan days haha
@@sadhu7191 okay and???
he's still got it
You can still hear that he has a broken soul though, because of his HORRIBLE ex wife....
We need to see a Brendan Fraser and Keanu Reeves movie. What’s not to like about these two. ❤
I would also add Paul Rudd to that list but I agree!
@@chrissyq.5894 Him and Ke Huy Quan as well
That would be the best!
I'd watch a full length movie of them just hanging out and being themselves tbh.
That would be awesome!
I just want to give a massive hug to Brendan Fraser, that shake in his voice, the sad eyes, he deserves all the love ❤️
So true😭😭😭
He's had vocal cord surgery.
@@queent3343 oh I didn't know that, thank you for your reply.
Brendan is the definition of what a truly good person is. To be disrespected and abused, and still maintain a good heart and humility, really makes him a beautiful person. So happy to see one of my childhood favorites doing better than ever. We all love you man keep it up.
This man was my childhood. I was 4 yrs old when George of the jungle came out. I was 6 when the mummy came out. I still remember the giant Mummy poster on the Blockbuster store front. I’ll be 30 this year. I’m glad Brendan is having a resurgence and is relevant again. I hope he continues to succeed in all his endeavors.
How time flys
@@donnag4150I’ll be 30 in August. I feel bittersweet about it lol.
Am 42
Dude this and Jungle 2 Jungle, I wanted to be a lost tarzan boy for a minute there.
30 in July and feel the same way 🙌🏼
This guy has GOT to be the most humble, nicest guy in Hollywood. Please, please win the Oscar for the Whale. He more than deserves it.
He so does
Yes yes yes!! 🙏🏻
It just doesnt even mean anything anymore to win it. It's so outdated to have these kinds of competitions and races, while ignoring a whole race. We've all evolved from this
Him and Keanu Reeves
And he did… such a beautiful soul…
Brendan Fraser making his comeback is probably the only good thing to come out of hollyweird for me. I don’t know him from a bar of soap but man he just oozes sincerity/good values/humbleness. Great traits to have. Beautiful soul and human. Hope everything good comes your way Brendan.
The most genuine human I’ve never met. This man deserves the world 100x over . So so happy he finally got the recognition he deserves.
Brendan Fraser comes across as so articulate, intellectual while also empathetic. What a jewel of a human being ! ❤
He is a certified hottie hunk
What's all the buzz and outcry for him all of a sudden?
Yes well said! ❤
He really isn't articulate, he sounds like he had Alzheimer's. Still a good guy tho
@@Resist_Oppression he just came back to the acting scene and was really out of shape. He’s making a comeback
Brendan Fraser is a national treasure!
LOL 😂
100%
Pretty sure that’s Nicolas Cage 😏

Stop! 🤣
Drew seems to make people so comfortable she's such a jovial person
I grew up watching Brendan Fraser. I was crying as well when he won the best actor at the Oscars. He is a well deserved actor. I really liked this segment a lot, good job Drew Barrymore! I love your show! 😊
I knew Brendan before he became an actor in movies. He was so kind to me. I will never forget his kindness.
Where did you meet him?
1. I LOVE Drew's genuine love for Brendan and his art she is all of us.
2. Him as Rick in the Mummy is better than any James Bond film, any Mission Impossible and any Bourne Identity film and action comedy, I don't care what anyone says.
And lastly, that hug at the end of this interview? I cried. I'm so glad he's getting his flowers and seeing it. Time is a wonderful thing if you just stay true to yourself and stay genuine to everyone else ✨️ ❤️
She seems kinda nuts here I’m not gonna lie. Cringey.
She sounds like she's talking to a child. Too much excitement for a simple interview.
She needs to relax, geez
@@ARTPLAYSGAMES86 that's just how she talks she's always been like that
@@onamattapeeya oh ok. Never really watched her movies 😂 but fair play haha 👍
I can't stop, but have tears in my eyes to see him back. I can't believe he was taken away from us for this long. If there is a movie with his name, I will watch it immediately I am so happy he is back.

Аналогично. Не могу остановить слёзы. Я бесконечно рада за него❤
Wow I'm surprised the universe didn't implode because of the sheer force of wholesome energy created from these two being in the same room together
Brendan fraser - "Is the mummy a comedy? Horror? Action?"
Studio - "yes!!!"
and romance!
I love how drew just listens attentively and doesn’t interrupt. I just love her!
Drew is something special beyond words. She's her true, authentic self from when she was a kid in ET and well into her adult years. So wholesome, sweet, feminine, gentle, open-hearted and invested in her guests. It's rare that people carry over the same mannerisms from childhood into adulthood without being jaded, but the way she acts, responds...it's so child-like, it's no wonder she became a major star!
And Brandon, he's basically the male version of Drew lol. Open hearted, kind, authentic, super humble for the star that he is, and was practically brought back to the big screen becuase of fans LOOKING for him. What other actor visibily sheds tears from the praise he's getting, instead of acting high and mighty? I'd love to see the two of them do a film together. They have great chemistry
Keanu
It makes me so happy to see him smiling and getting the appreciation he deserves. I still see so much pain in his eyes though. This man deserves so much happiness
Sounded like he was going to cry the whole time
He truly is a kind, sincere and genuine human being. He stuck to his guns, remaining true to himself and what he believes, and has persevered. Hats off to Brendan Fraser.
I am so proud of this man. He’s made amazing movies, experienced pain and seclusion for a while, then he came back with so much passion but had zero ego. He is a gem and deserves every iota of success he’s getting now.
He is such an underrated actor. I'm so happy to see him being so supported
He is so beyond humble, that to a certain extent it even makes him uncomfortable to have all the recognition that he has. He seems to forget that he is so deserving. I hope he realizes one day just how much the public loves him and his work.
He’s been missed. Such a humble, down to earth guy. Everything that’s happening to him right now is so deserved and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the fourth mummy movie
Glad to see he’s dug himself out of the hole he was in. Hard to hide those sad eyes though but I hope for him continued success. Seems like a genuinely nice person
Yeah, me being an armchair psychologist…it sure seems like he's still fighting demons. The Whale was absolutely amazing.
@@grakkerful but hopefully with enough support from people like Drew he will allow himself to rise up again.
Brendan Fraser is undoubtedly one of the most handsome actors in the world of cinema and an excellent actor... and of course over the years we all change a little physically, it is normal but he is still a handsome man at his age, he could act in some movie as handsome and successful older man some romantic comedy 😍👌
This man is so humbled and down to earth. I can safely say I grew up watching his movies. Keep up the good work Brenden Fraser ❤
I adore how humble and sincere he is...how awkward he is for a guy whose screen characters usually seem so confident...loveable man. He richly deserves the accolades he is FINALLY getting.
He is lovable ❤
Same…I love his awkwardness makes him relatable ❤
Omg.. that genuine comforting smile he gave when Drew hugged him.. I'm so happy he's back in show biz. He so deserves this. Best come back ever.
I love him so much. I completely love how Drew just fangirls over him, but also like they're old friends when she's on the floor. I love that neither of them is concerned with making it look like a professional conversation. It's like being at a slumber party with your friends. ❤
Brendan’s personality is like one big warm hug 😊
Glad to see Brendan is finally getting the recognition he deserves. I hope he wins the Oscar!
Something I’ve always treasured about Brendan Frasier is his uncanny ability to put on a jacket between clips
Thank you! I thought I was the only one who noticed lol 😂
I backed it up to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Fun edit!
@@angelaburns6743 same!

That reminds me of how much he loved his jacket he got as a Birthday present from his Parents in Blast from the Past!
Estoy muy feliz que Brendan Fraser haya ganado el Oscar al Mejor Actor, proyecta sencillez y mucha sensibilidad para desempeñar desde la comedia hasta el drama
Concuerdo contigo totalmente...Saludos !.
Two incredible people! The way Drew gets right on the floor while talking to him shows she was completely invested in what he was saying and I imagine that meant a lot to him! Very few talk show hosts get into their interviews like she does. And Brendon is just amazing and whenever he’s interviewed he always mentions his fellow cast members or other people who worked on these films with him and always has nothing but kind things to say about them ❤ love these beautiful human beings to pieces!
I noticed that too, how comfortable Drew is, she is also a genuine person, I just love her 🤗💜
Well said ❤️ was thinking something similar
And that hug 🥰
Haha hmmm Actor
Every clip of her show I've seen feels like she's hosting a sleepover with a bunch of friends. 🥰
Brendan Fraser is a beautiful soul! He's had such a great and diverse career and has become so beloved over the years. It's impossible not to see how genuine of a person he is.
Brendan deserves the recognition that he is getting. I went and saw the whale and it's so good! Cried my eyes out watching it! Hopefully he wins the Oscar!!!
Brendan face when Drew Hugs her was the best part 🥰👏🏻👏🏻✨. Glad to see him reclaim the spotlight he was wrongfully denied for so long !
He's seems so nervous bless his heart. He deserves recognition ❤️
Drew is such a good host. I bet you each guest feels like she is their best friend. She is so down to earth and real.👊🙂
Yes. Exactly.
Not based on this Clip, at least in my opinion. I like Drew Barrymore but the energy level seems too high for even her. I assume she is just hyping things up for the behind the scenes segment. :)
She is waay too annoying. Is she on adrenaline or something?
@@fremtilfortiden I dont think so. She is a very genuine and likeable person, imo.
Brendan Fraser is such a delightful person. He seems to be on the list of favorite humans by everyone that meets him. If only there were more people like him...He deserves the attention and praise not just for his talent but his humanity. 🙂
He’s nervous but I hope he realizes how much he is loved by the world
Met Brendan last year at an event. He’s a super cool chill guy in real life as well.
Gente buena como Brendan merece toda la felicidad posible.
The way Drew gets on the floor and looks up in wonder when she is truly in awe of her guests is the sweetest, she is what daytime tv needed for so long! 😊
I never saw this show and I was so surprise by that! It's so lovely)
Agreed 🤗💜
I like Drew. She always sounds so serious and sincere when she makes comments. A very nice person.
@@RemediosBarry yes! I think she is truly listening to her guests instead of just waiting for her turn to ask a question which sometimes can look like that on other shows.
This man is a national treasure. He is the pure wholesomeness we need right now. Thank God he his back in the limelight.

His next movie: The 54 yr Old Virgin.
@@ifyouonlyknew811 he could pull it off, he kind of sort of already did something like that in "blast from the past"... different story but same type of character
Drew knows how rough it is in Hollywood she relates. Poor brendan still sounds fragile, but good on him for getting back out into the public after such a rough ride. I love them both
The Whale is such a strong film, everyone in my theater was crying like babies at the end of the movie. He's such an awesome dude I would love to meet and just give him a hug.
The way he genuinely smiled when they hugged at the end was just so precious!
I noticed that too, the sincerity shines through in this absolute gem of a man
I fell in love with Brendan when I seen him in Encino Man and could not stop talking about him. Anything he came out with I went to see. School Ties was the absolute best…I just love his work and I’m glad everyone is giving him all the love he deserves. He’s just a bright jewel of goodness we need in this world ❤
He’s so pure and innocent still, ugh ❤
He's just such an absolute sweetheart, I can't even put into words the admiration I feel for him
I just turned 35 (I actually share a birthday with Brendan - 3 December) and grew up watching him. it’s so good to see someone who’s so unrehearsed and genuine back in the spotlight! Greetings from Germany ❤
Aaaaw I just realized his B-day is a day after mine! December Bdays❤️
Glad I got to meet him. He’s such a nice guy.
From the man who jumped from tree to tree screaming “George is back” and to The Whale!!!! Omggg how I can express my joy when you received the oscar!!! Truly genuinely deserves that than anyone else!! No one can break you Brendan💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Love to see you again💕💕💕
Brendan is a treasure and deserves to be held high as a hope for people to do better for and by each other, there's needs to me more of his compassion in this world
my heart is literally so warm watching these 2 angels talk. genuine people create the most comfortable and safe environments.
Brendan is the kind of guy who’s been there, almost lost everything, and thankfully came out the other side . You can see and hear he’s been affected but god love him . A true fighter xx
Drew is a great person ❤️
And Brendan is also great ❤️
Thank you drew for giving our Brandon a voice he's been through so much and he's always given everything he had to the projects that he participated in and he's given us so much great entertainment and really showed us the sort of person we should want our heroes to be
Holy cow. I never realised he's been in so many classics.. he deserves the limelight. Hope he gets more roles in the future
I love how she just sits on the floor during interviews, so down to earth and I can only imagine that she is so easy to talk and relate with .
@@wood18net I think thats called unique or off beat
You mean fake, over reacting, and scripted? Yea she sold her soul to hollywierd LONG ago.
She also lost her shine long ago.
This is the first I’ve seen of her on her show. Seems like she’s on meds, most likely to be able to cope with the high energy expectations of her. Seemed really odd and forced. Brendan didn’t look comfortable either but pushed through.
@@wood18net yea like she's playing her talk show host character
Yeah she seems more like somebody's cousin or room mate, exactly the opposite of the snobby attitude of most actors
Brendan Fraser is a great actor. I guess my favorite film of him should be Blast from the Past. I saw it multiple times. This movie was quite different, Brendan lives in an underground shelter and not seen humans for years other than his parents. I was kind of deeply touched by his character as i mostly lived in isolation. The ending scene where the hero and heroine meet together was nicely done. Few movies give that kind of good feeling.
I love Bedazzled. He is so funny 🤣

Forever. Even back to Encino man. He was so fine
Brendan is the most adorable person. He could do so much to help this world with that empathy he has. He already is, just by showing people you can be that raw
He's always been one of our favorite screen actors 💯 Class Act 👌 Go Brendan Go!!🎉

Yay!!!! Finally The Brendan Fraser❤️❤️
I love him film bedazzled !n his acting in that was superb !!!!!
He deserved his fame back! He is part of my childhood as George of the Jungle and my teen years as the swashbuckling Rick O'Connel in The Mummy Saga! His acting is superb and memorable 👏👏👏
For my generation (20 and 30 year olds) this man is an absolute legend. I don't think people over or under that age group actually understand how much we love this guy.
My husband said Fraser shaped his childhood and was his superhero since. Every little boys hero 🥰
Well you would be wrong cuz I'm generation X and I entered my teenage years around the time he started his career, of course you have a right to your opinion just like I have a right to my opinion that my generation was the last one of any value, however modern pop culture seems to suggest that I am right
I'm 65 and LOVE Brendan Frasier!!!
I remember the first time we went to the theatre to watch the mummy, expecting it to be, well horror (, god knows why our parents took us) , and then we were shocked as we found ourselves screaming in excitement, cackling with laughter and just on the edge of our seats. What a movie and what an actor!, And now I can say what a man! I hope he gets everything that is long overdue to him.
I’m nearing 50 and my generation (ahem, Brendan’s generation) launched his career with our love for him the moment he hit the screen. When my oldest child was growing up, The Mummy was his favorite movie. I think it’s okay if we all deeply value this man.
I’m so happy that Brendan Fraser is back to working in films again. I really want to see him thrive from now on in the public eye because he certainly deserves to be happy and doing what he wants.
Talk about a comeback story!
God bless that man. He gave us hours and hours if pure entertainment. So glad to see him back on the big screen.

I'm so happy for Brendan's comeback!!! He deserves it.
He's down for The Mummy 4
He seams to be very humble and sweet. Loved his speech at the awards ceremony. And I love Drew. She's such an inspiration.
I’m so happy for Brendan Fraser! He’s getting well deserved attention for a great role.
Blast from the past was my favorite Brendan Fraser movie 🍿
He was my childhood hero, mimicking his actions in The Mummy,George of the Jungle he got everything, looks, charisma, attitude and acting plus he is a humble guy and a sweet hearted person
Brendan Fraser was such an important figure growing up. I am so happy he is back.
Thank you for coming back to us, Brendan Fraser. I've missed your face. 😘😘
I have not been a fan of Brendan.
Not because I didn’t like his movies, I haven’t seen any, but because the movies he made didn’t catch my interest.
I always wished that I had liked him because he always seemed very genuine.
This resurgence of his has made me want to watch “The Whale”.
I will buy the movie when it comes out on Blu-ray and will most likely buy any movie he has made in the past to support him.
Listening to him today gives me strength.
If he’s that strong with what he’s had to deal with, I can do no less.
Life is worth living. Sometimes even through the pain of what life is.
I love Drew, she is so real, down to earth, charming and a great talk show host. Brendan? What can I say. I ADORE him! 😙😁💖 I hope he wins the Oscar.
I love Brendan Fraser. He brought real soul and heart to every single one of his characters and that's why I was always drawn by his acting. This makes me want to rewatch all of his movies now. I'm so happy he's doing well.
I feel the same way. I liked him in pretty much everything I've ever seen him in ,my favorite being Airheads, but a small part of me will always know him simply as Link...
