- Oscar award winning actor Brendan Fraser (The Whale, Encino Man) and Oded Fehr (The Mummy Returns, Star Trek: Discovery) reunite and share memories about their experiences on the set of the cult classic movie, The Mummy with fans! It's been over 20 years, but for the duo, it felt like it was just yesterday they were in the deserts Marrakesh and Morocco filming the part action-adventure, part horror, part comedy film directed by Stephen Sommers. The pair discuss working with Rachel Weisz and Arnold Vosloo, the CGI mummies they fought, the hysterical height differences of the cast, The Mummy franchise, and MORE!

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz had great on-screen chemistry. I wish they could be in a movie together again. ❤❤
I really enjoyed seeing their characters.
The Cinema needs more positively in-love couples on screen.

I'm bummed Arnold Vosloo didn't show up. I'd be excited to watch how those three would interact with one another in a panel setting. Although, I do feel bad for Arnold because now that man probably can't even yawn without someone making a joke.
I'd love too see Brendan fraser and oded fehr in a new film, along with a completely new set of characters. It'd be interesting to expand on Rick finding out he's a magi in the mummy returns, maybe expanding on that and maybe have him join the magi in a fourth film.
Maybe a biblical movie like Joseph

Sure do! They don't makes movies like them anymore. Yes, nostalgia is a big part for us but they still live up to today. 90s/early 2000s films had a vibe to them. Ticked most boxes. We were a lucky generation.

Technically, the 4th film was tomb of the dragon emperor. In order it's The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, The Mummy, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
The only thing that connects them both is the Golden Book of Amun Ra.

I got my Mom to watch it with me. Not like I had to try hard, because she loved Brendan. One of the things she loved about Brendan, besides how handsome and kind he was, is that they shared the same birthday. By the end of the film, she also loved Oded. Now when I watch this, it's in memory of her.

He had plenty of stuntmen. Simon Crane, Joey Preston, Mark Henson, Patrick Kerton ,Lahlali Zakaria, Rob Inch, and Mark Mottram from the Mummy movies alone. There are others.
His "injuries" are from Hurricane Sandy 2012. Google it. He likes to tell people in bars that his throat scar is from the Mummy hanging scene. It's from Thyroid surgery also in 2012.
It doesn't have to be a mummy movie but is love to see this ca st together again. They worked well together, so well.

Probably the best Mummy movie ever , it had chemistry between Brendan and Rachel, it was funny, the Mummy was great. Oded and his people was great trying to protect the 3000 year old secret.

The second... Adewale as a comic relief worked pretty well for me but i never liked that they shifted focus from Rick and Evelyn towards their son.
It's honestly an underrated movie these days. I put it along side Star Wars Episode 1 and the Matrix in terms of how innovative and influential the Mummy was, in terms of action, pacing, and special effects. It will always be a fun classic. What an incredible year of movies that was
Just rewatched the first movie last night, tonight I'm watching the second, then heading straight to IMDB to give both a 10 out of 10. I wish I had kids so they could watch with me.
I saw The Mummy in 1999, when no one knew how big it would become. Let the kids carry it on, and maybe another generation can enjoy it years from now.

The Mummy movie was my favorite horror movie and it made me a huge fan of Egyptian mythology.
After watching this film, i remember as a child i used to read all mummy related books or graphic novels.
Even played mummy game.

I was at this panel and it was sooooooooooo much fun! They both are absolute gentlemen.
This is one of my 13 year old daughters favorite films.
This past weekend .. AMC theaters ran the film ... so instead of seeing modern garbage ... we paid to see this modern classic on the big screen.
We were thoroughly entertained.

Two of my favorite action adventure films ever. One of the few franchises that was able to match or even surpass the first installment (which was great on its own so the bar for “Returns” was fairly high)
The vfx for the scorpion king were awful in returns but overall the movie was great but the 1st one is still my favorite.

I like the Mummy l and ll Brendan, Rachel and Oded was my faves. I saw Mummy lll but didn’t care for it. I really miss Rachel very sad she wasn’t in that one. I heard about the 4th one but never even bother with that one. They had Tom Cruise no Brendan like what were thinking.🤦🏻♀️
The Tom Cruise isn't the 4th, it was supposed to be the 1st of a new series. There are dozens of movies with Mummy in the title.

This was back in 2022. I can’t remember the exact timeline but Covid restrictions for international travel was still in effect so there would have been quarantine, etc…
