    On that smith they drilled the top strap , if u look on the inside of front strap the front screw don’t go all the way down flush creating a vortex and will burn the cylinder ruining the finish , if the owner calls S&W they will ship him out a new screw no charge fixing that problem

    I have a new one of each but with 6" barrel and just took both to the range today. Even though the Colt is a beautiful weapon compared to the 29, I would take the 29 all day long. The 29 is just smoother and more accurate. Nothing against the Anaconda, but this is just one mans opinion, especially when factoring in the dollar amount. One more thing about the Anaconda, I didn't like the rubber grip that came with it, but for $100 I changed out the grip to one like the 29. Real quick, it's nothing against Colt as I love my new Python.

      The 29 is an awesome revolver. It has been around a very long time for a reason. It was the very first 44 magnum ever made. I am glad you enjoy them. Thanks for watching

    Did the Colt come with that grip or did you replace it?

    • @TerryBenton
      @TerryBenton  Před 27 dny

      I replaced them. The anaconda comes with rubber grips. Thise are made by Altamont

      Do you mine me asking, what specific grips are those? I went to their site after watching the video, but all I saw were grips for the Python. I wasn’t sure if those grips would fit the anaconda as well.

      @TerryBenton  Před 27 dny +2

      @mlallen626 yes they are the python grips. The new python and anaconda grips interchange.

    Cast - I thought that S&W was forged?...
    Hmmm, maybe that's just the frame.

    • @TerryBenton
      @TerryBenton  Před měsícem +2

      The frame is forged. Almost all then internal parts including hammer and trigger are cast

      Ok I have rewatched it and also looked at the one I own and called S&w to be sure the barrel is not sleeved and if you look what he’s referring to is the crown of the muzzle. Again I say no sleeve. Google it… No need to reply and be rude. Believe whatever you want. Willful ignorance is bliss I guess.
