They should have at least had a portrait art of the fish when you click on the aquarium tank so we can see it. I wasn't expecting animal crossing aquarium but dang the shadows are depressing like why bother lol. Thanks for the video 💛

I am really happy when I saw this as your new guide. I've been avoiding fishing like a curse unless I absolutely needed it for cooking because I couldn't understand the mechanics of fishing, or how many fish. (Not to mention I haven't even tried to do any museum stuff 🙃)

I am only 3 fish away from completing the museum! And of course I’m in Spring and they’re only available in Autumn and Winter 😂 I had the donating issue once too; I had to go through one by one and read all the donations to find out I was missing a Spear Squid 🙄 really wish you had a museum directory at the museum entrance or something!

Yep, I wish there was a little icon in the encyclopedia (kind of like in ACNH) to tell you whether you've donated them or not!

Appreciate this 😭😭 everyone else online was saying they were using guardian bait or large fish bait for the aurora fish and I've yet to find one 😭😭 def gonna craft mysterious bait and try again. Idk what it is but it's so hard to find full guides online for this game, they're always incomplete.

I am missing the Star Snapper, took me a while to realize and its winter in game and I need to find it in spring/summer. Also the Antique Mirror I am finding really hard to find, I recommend to get it earlier (silver or gold rod) so you do not get fish etc instead but thank you for the confirm on it being in lake of area 2. Also if anyone asks, you have 5 places for nets on each normal beach and that makes 15 total.
Yes the treasures are really hard to find! Hopefully you can get the antique mirror soon!

I'm just so disappointed in the way they did the aquarium section of the museum that it makes me not even want to donate anything, ugh. But I will do it for the completionist factor.

At 1st I kept tapping the button instead, dunno if I just skipped entirely the tool tutorial that it gave at the start or what, but then it worked when I actually tried holding it down.
My technique for most collectibles and materials is just to keep hoarding everything until I have at lest like 10 of each then I start selling, so I know I'll not lack materials down the line when I need to make something or fill requests

Can the fishing nets catch any type of fish besides the sparkling variants and the legendaries? I find the fish that overlap past 10pm harder to find because it means waking up late the next day.
Also, I wish fish didn't show up in the encyclopedia until they were donated or the encyclopedia helps you keep track. Would help in the case of finding that last fish.
did you use the guardian bait to catch the guardian type fish or did you catch them on your own? i finished my guardian bait and i’m trying to catch those fish but i can’t bc i ran out lol
I’m missing five fish in the second last row on the left. I need Spotted Eagal Ray, Halibut, Giant Grouper, Marlin. Also that one shellfish.
Do they have to be caught in specific season? I’m currently in Winter.
I need either the giant catfish or giant king crab for a dish to complete Lovett's quest. Intially, I was using nets and gifts from Sprite to get fish but reach a point where same fishes so better option to fish. I only heard from radio in Winter, best time to go fishing as some appear in the season. I caught mahi mahi on area 3. Town hall requests asks for fishes I have not caught like dace, oarfish. You going make one on Museum treasures I only need 5 and think they may be shiny bags.
Yep the sprite will only give you the most common fish! Good luck with Lovett's quests!

@@JoshGamingGarden I was too lazy to fish so I was just handing the fish the sprite gave me to the museum but now I know I need to get fishing for the rare ones lol

I'm currently trying to do Lovett's Quest and it is so mean, that you need one of the guardian fishes to complete one of the recipes >.< Although I have the golden fishing rod, it's super hard for me to catch them.
For the recipe that needs the giant catfish, I was only able to get the 10-star fish with the orichalcum rod and fishing level 10. 😥 I'm afraid under that you'll get 9-star fish which makes it impossible or almost impossible for the recipe!
@@JoshGamingGarden There is also the option to make the recipe with the giant king crab. The recipe only needs to be 6 stars and because I have all the other ingredients on 10 stars, it should be possible. But I will need the giant king crab again later but that time, the recipe has to be maximum stars so yeah, I will need a 10 star giant king crab >.< Seems like I have to grind a bit! Thanks a lot for the info, so I won't waste my time trying to catch it before my fishing level isn't high enough!
@@jackiegerlach oh, I thought you were a bit further! In th last set of requests, there's going to be one with the giant catfish, you'll need a rainbow quality recipe so the 10 star fish will be pretty much mandatory!

@@jackiegerlach@Play with Josh This is kinda funny to read, because you are both right and wrong at the samne time and talking about the same recipe who has two options. In the last batch of recipes you need to make a 'Spicy, yet mellow entrée' Which you can complete by making a Tom Yum Pla for which you need a Giant Catfish. Another option is the Boo Paht Tong Karee for which you need a Giant King Crab. Btw the recipe only needs to be level 6. So both right and wrong and still talking about the same thing. This was actually my last recipes and the reason I starting focusing on fishing.
Really wish there was a list of all the fish you have caught. I am playing in Spanish and it is so confusing knowing what I have in lists as most of the Spanish lists dont have pictures so I need to search the English ones, translate the names, etc, its a nightmare

Nvm i found it, its in your house , a bookcase ,there is the encyclopedia that shows you what you have and what you dont.

Having a really hard time fishing for the guardians, they always get away even using the guardian bait. My fishing rod is the orichalcium and level 10 skill also :(

Cat fish is in area one by the cave, or fishers island, which you get access to when you reach level 9 for fishing
Hi, I have the expansion pass but I have no idea how to get to the new locations. Not the ones from the sprites but I think there is one accessible from a boat near the farm house... ?
It comes out on May 27th, it's only available for the Japanese version currently.

Is fishing a treasure rng? Or can you create some sort of "bait" for it?
There's no bait for treasure. Actually just make sure you don't use any bait, as that would increase your chance of getting a fish. Just keep trying, good luck!
I’m having a hard time getting the giant catfish and other giants. It’s annoying that I can’t get them.
I have lvl 10 skill, orichalcum rod, and use guardian bait - even fishing in the right spot at the right time and they escape every single time and I cannot find any help anywhere.
How do you put the fish bait on the rod? I can’t figure it out
On switch, you either select it in your bag and press the Y button and select the middle option.

OH MY GOD. All of the guides are wrong! I couldn’t get the marlin because all guides I have googled show Farm Beach #3, not #2. THANK YOU SO MUCH IT HAS BEEN DAYS TRYING LOL. I got it immediately on Beach #2!

Yes, there's a bookcase in your house that comes up as "Encyclopedia" you can see everything in there :)
