i had a pretty successful winter and unlocked the spring garden so i think ill keep my broccoli going there :) and i found level 10 oranges in my sprite store!!! so i can have them hanging out there too!! ive been trying to cultivate 10 star seeds for all my crops lol ive been trying hard to keep up to make enough seeds for the next season. its a big game of catch up :o

Also i got agriculture level 9 on my first year in autumn. Maybe because i water my crops myself and don't use the sprinklers
I also got to level 9 on autumn of year 1, I think it's about average, but it definitely helps if you didn't use sprinklers too much.

You should do a video on tool upgrade priority. Like silver hammer, then silver axe, etc.

Abt the seed part, i even make like 8 of it since i alr got my crops into level 10. It took 23 hours to finish so after a day i can get myself 16 level 10 seeds from each of my level 10 crops. And then plant it again and it repeat.
Its quite efrective for me.
I've just started playing and am trying to figure out cooking. Would radishes be good for making the dishes that require any sort of vegetable (since they're the cheapest to buy/not worth selling)? Right now, I'm mostly planning to cook things for me to eat while mining and clearing my farm.

How about cooking the crops... in older SoS selling cooked crops some of them give more profit then selling raw crops... does this game also like that or cooked food worth less money... thx in advance.
If you cook food it will lose value. So I would recommend only cook if you need to eat or for gifts.

Is it possible to put crop variation in the seed maker like star potatoes and getting the seeds to plant more variation crops?
When you put variation crops in the maker, you'll get more seeds then with regular ones, but they'll just be regular seeds though. It won't increase the probability to get varied crops.

I think it’s possible to get agriculture lvl 9 within the first year, I’m in my autumn of my first year and my lvl is 8 already. You just have to be super diligent.
Yes, I got to level 9 at the end of my first autumn! However getting it in first summer in time for watermelons would be quite tricky.
Do you think you could make a beehive and mushroom guide?
That would be a good idea yes!
Mushrooms are pretty straight forward. With 5 being the highest profit:
1. Shiitake
2. Shimeji
3. Trumpet
4. Coral
5. Matsutake
Coral & Matsutake make the most profit compared to all crops, not considering the fact that mushroom logs take 2x2 space whereas crops are only 1x1.

Yes! I still have a few things left to do, but I'm aiming for a farm tour on year 3.
So I found out that you can buy products, like veggies straight from the store. Example is tomato for 180. Use the seed maker to turn it into 2 seed packets. Each sells for 150. You earn 120 a day per tomato. I know its not much, but if your seed makers are just laying there, make some money. Selling seeds from crops you grow will increase your profit even more from just selling the crop itself.
On the bit where you said it starts the day after you’ve planted the countdown that doesn’t seem to apply to mine as I’ve worked out as I’ve been planting melons takes 7 days to harvest I’ve found that if I plant them on the 21st of the month I can still harvest them on the 28th of the month (not playing seedling mode)
Hey, sorry I should have made that point clearer, but you need to take into account one extra day as if someone were to plant the melons on the 22nd for example, they could think 22-23-24-25-26-27-28 would be enough since it's 7 days, but in reality the melons won't be ready to harvest until the 1, so they would miss it in this case. 21 to 28 that's 8 days in total. I hope it's clearer. :)
It does start after you plant.
You planted on 21, "start counting" the day after: 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28. That's 7 days.
What about crops like beans, rice, wheat, teaf leaf?? How far apart do fruit trees have to be??
Fruit trees just need 1 tile between them

Kindof a dumb question but I wanted to check. We still don’t need to water our crops when it rains/snows right? As I saw some gameplay where the sprinklers still went off in the snow and wanted to double check.
@@wanhedafeva7107 you don't need to water when it rains/snows! The sprinklers will go on automatically everyday between 6-8am no matter what. 😊
What is the radius of the sprinklers? How many crops do they water?

You have to use the seedling maker, which you'll unlock after reaching level 6 of orcharding!

spring - broccoli (seeds only avail in winter) 65/day, garlic (need lv 9 agri) 49.62/day, cucumber 28.67/day
summer - watermelon (lv9) 55.56/day, green pepper 51.11/day, eggplant 46/day (mutant crop chance)
autumn - sweet potato (mutant crop chance) 59.43/day, green pepper 51.11/day
winter - leek (ship wild crop, mutant crop chance) 75/day, broccoli 65/day,
Actually, I've noticed (after making the video) that the higher the star level, the higher the chance of getting the mutations! So while you don't need to take that into account at first, you do later in the game. I'm thinking this might make the eggplant better than the watermelon, but I have to test it out!
@@JoshGamingGarden i'm just at the first winter season and i have a stock of about 120 10 star eggplant seeds so i'll have to get there again to see what the % is. my current farm capacity is 230 but i think i'll just try to max it out and then say if i have like 400 spots then i can add 400 'n' entries as data points to find what the % mutation is? i could give you whatever i find (idk when that'll be doe)
also was wondering if you had a tree fruit video. i do have the autumn special place but it's full of 5star apple trees right now (i hope they'll give me 10 star apples)

@@JoshGamingGarden I've grown around 3000 crops now, and I've found a few conclusions:
1. increased mutant chance with higher base seed level - i.e. the level of the seed packet that was planted in the ground. A zero star seed packet is worse than say, a 4 star seed packet even if the harvest crop is the same end star value (due to a difference in harvesting level bonus to stars)
2. mutant chances varies based on crop type. i still need more data on each individual crop, but it seems like some crops like turnips, tomatoes and eggplants tend to have more mutants (average 35% so far at 10 star seeds) versus leek which is around 5% (small data set so may change as i get more harvests)
3. for eggplants i've harvest almost 750 crops with the % being 33% mutant. meaning the overall value per day is around 30% higher at 59.8, making it better than watermelon.

Your information about the crops counting from the day after planting is wrong. If u plant the Onion seeds on the 22nd of Spring, they will be ready at the 28th of Spring. I did that 1 hour ago.

That's just how it works. 😬 It's odd but yes you need to buy multiple balls!

@Terrako they are already helping with the monastery's garden and dining hall so I don't want to exhaust them. They deserve to rest so that they will be able to focus more in the class.
Have you ever calculated how profitable the crops are when you make your seeds only with the seed maker?
Just did the some calculations myself (Spring Crops) but it seems that at Level zero the most profitable stays true to your calculations. Not sure if the Stars would influence it

How do you get all the golden crops?
If you have 10-star seeds you'll get a higher chance of getting the golden or other variations, however you still have a small chance with lower-quality seeds.
You said that we don't need radish but won't you need it for cooking?
I'm not sure if there's a recipe that specifically asks for radish (most of the time you can use any vegetable), but yes it might be good to have a few just in case.
How did u get this huge land?
There are 3 areas on your farm, you'll have to repair a bridge to unlock the 2nd area, then clear a slope to unlock the third one!

You feed them fodder, same as for the barn animals! I know it's confusing 'cause they used to have their own food in previous games!

It's Summer here; so my fields are full of Watermelons, SunFlowers and Lilies. I'm just worried how to harvest them all.
Yes harvesting is a lot of work in this game. 😅 I try not to plant more than I'm willing to harvest!

Do you have empty space for it to spawn?😭 The leek can also be a bit hard to see sometimes. Hope you find one soon!
Wait a sec.. leek seeds cost 500g and only sell for 200g? That's a 300g LOSS? Am I confused.. Leek seems to be the worst crop not the best.
Without a cooking festival it feels like there is no reason to grow level 10 crops.
You need good crops to cook in the villa

I am glad this game is on PS not to mention in PS Extra. I bet this is captured on Nintendo because thats the only weak console that would have problem running games my calculator can run in a background. I am gonna give it a go. Thanks for the guides :)
