Another to add to my “Wholesale” file on CZcams! I was wondering if you can provide tips on what you think would influence Faire to be more likely to choose a company to join? 🌷☀️💎🎨

yeah good question, personally I think it's not a static thing as it depends on what's happening with the company strategically. The business has to look real for a start but I know people are complaining about drop shippers joining - I do think if you have a good online presence already it helps your chances. But someone messaged me to say they used my referral links and finally got accepted so maybe that helps too!

You seriously were in my mind lol I was wondering how the heck do I collect these emails like a few days ago! Thanks for this! I have a question! How would you recommend wording a follow up or multiple follow up emails so you don’t sound pushy and annoying?

Heya - I heard some great advice from someone the other day about following up. Unless they have actually engaged with you and know who you are, assume they have no idea who you are and haven't read your previous emails. If you saw a person you had met before at a networking event you wouldn't go up to them and say hey remember me, remember that product I sell do you remember it? Instead you might re-introduce yourself (maybe in a slightly different way) you might find a new angle to explain who you are and what you do to. I like this approach with email as well, people get annoyed by emails that are like 'I know you're busy but did you see the below email?' - NO I didn't because as you said I am busy!! So think of it as just bringing your brand to people's attention each time and trying slightly different angles. Retailers may take months to convert. If you have had engagement from them, you might chase based on the last engagement (hey just checking in, did you like the sample we sent, have you had a chance to review the catalogue) but if they still don't respond I go back to pitching them/sending newsletters and showing how we add value - unless they unsubscribe. Hope that helps :)

Hi! Great video! I have a question, I just started Faire 1 week ago and I have been paying for shipping labels, over $40 each order and basically being negative every time. I am not offering free shipping, I think we all pay for shipping if the buyer is not on Faire Direct correct? Can you explain a little more about that?

    • @CandidFounders

They are expensive shipping labels! Is your product quite heavy?
So if you have opted into Insider Shipping (think it's just USA at the moment) that means you are offering free shipping to insiders, Faire pays for free shipping to non faire direct customers.
We do it so that customers get free shipping if they spend over £200 (UK orders), you can set this in your promotions tab, we recommend doing that tbh it helps boost your AOV up a bit, and wholesale customers expect to pay for shipping on smaller order usually. You basically want to be paying shipping on orders when they make sense to you size wise - our product is very light so a bit easier for us. Does that answer your question? Let me know if you have any follow up

@@CandidFounders Hey! Thank you for getting back to me! I am a little confused, what exactly should I do? Get off Insider Shipping? What exactly did you want me to do with the promotions tab? So sorry just so confused! 😅

My product is semi- heavy, they are 15 ounces each item, not too bad right? But I'm sorry for the last message, I am just genuinely confused on what exactly to do! 😅

@@vanessaolortiga49 We think staying part of insiders is good for being boosted in the algorithm, but it depends on how many orders you are getting as part of insiders so you just need to test it out and if it's becoming too expensive for you you need to change - only you can say what's too expensive for you and your margins. And defs add a promotional tier in for free shipping over a certain amount. All of this is dependent on your margins so make sure you know those and what you can afford to do. Sorry for generic advice but it's hard to go exact without knowing the exact ins and outs of your product and margins
