First of all congrats on your upcoming wedding! I could relate to everything you said especially the long day...my legs were ACHING from standing all day haha! But I agree, it is good for us to not only depend on faire for wholesale but also do our manual thing for the old school folks. At my tradeshow we had a lot of sellers but I could identify them by their badge color (yellow) whereas retailers wore a diff badge color (red) so this was helpful.

Yeah agreed it's that old adage of having multiple channels to diversify your risk, people talk a lot about it on the B2C side of things - having all these social channels, your own website, email list, maybe even physical retail, but it stands for wholesale as well! Ah the different badge colours is very helpful. Sometimes I would start a convo with someone and then find out they were selling to me, so I'd then say 'I am happy to talk but if someone else comes along that could be a buyer I will need to go and speak with them' everyone was very understanding. And actually because we had someone standing talking to us at our stand it naturally drew more people in!
