1:58 Actually, according to Steve Ouimette on a comment he replied to, he thought his cover of Same Old Song And Dance was actually pretty good. But it was replaced with the master track because Joe Perry wanted to the master track to be in the game because his son was a big fan of Guitar Hero, not because Ouimette's version was terrible. Ouimette said this in his *The Devil Went Down To Georgia - PART 1 - Behind The Scenes* video. The comment OP asked: _"I wonder what your cover of Same Old Song And Dance sounded like",_ and he replied with _"I remember it being pretty good and the vocalist who did the Steven Tyler parts looked almost exactly like Joe Perry. So strange!"_
Fun fact: in the Wii and ps2 versions of guitar hero Aerosmith lou from gh3 is an unlockable character. He does NOT appear in the other versions of the game.
2:11 Truth behind the reason why no vocals in Spanish Castle Magic wasn't included because the Jimi Hendrix estate didn't want his vocals to be cover. That's why Jimi shows up as a character in Guitar hero World Tour.
4:30 In Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP, that part of the vocal track is even tagged as a solo.
As far as I know, it’s the only vocal solo in the entire series.
Another fun fact.
In one Rock band 1 promo you see a group of players playing a beta of Rock band 1, and they're playing the song "Welcome to the jungle." Which was never in the game, even as DLC.
In the PS2 version of Rock band 1-2 there is no character creator, venue select or anything like that due to console limitations. on top of that the background animations are not being played in real time using the games engine like in the 360/PS3 version, rather they're pre-recorded videos that are scripted for each song in the game.
Another fact: You can’t FC “I Can’t Drive 55” expert bass chart in GHOT Decades because of a technical error towards the end.

@@alexrivas1993 There’s a particular part towards the finale where the streak automatically breaks, even if there is no note to strum. I thought maybe there is some kind of a conspiracy theory-inducing invisible note or something.

More on the thing at 1:20 bc ive owned and worked on one of those types. The example in the vid is incorrect as all Wii LP guitars have those particular screws; the ones being referred to have all of the torx screws on the front as well. The fret pcb and pads are the same as other Wii LPs and can be swapped, but as said the frets cannot be, due to the sides of the frets being slightly offset from normal Wii LPs. However, the frets in these guitars CAN be swapped into 360/PS3 guitars (but not the other way around because 360/PS3 guitars have a blocky U shape on the side, whereas the referenced guitar only has a block). Also these guitars have TG on the pcbs inside.
0:30 I'm pretty sure the song you're thinking of is the GH3 DLC chart of All Nightmare Long on Hard. There's a ton of FC's of Generation Rock on Medium, meanwhile you'll always miss an invisible note near the end of ANL.
I really enjoyed this! If you do another one of these, you should talk about the scrapped GH7 and the 6 fret guitar with the purple fret button

Funfact, the 5 note chord for Raining Blood is NOT the only 5 note chord in Guitar Hero, in fact, it's not even the only one in Smash Hits. In the Beenox logo, you can see some guitar chart being played as an animation. This was actually in the game as an unused chart and has 5 notes chord at the end, which is also a sustain.
That was never in the game officially

The part about Prince really bothered me back in the day, it's a shame that such a musical genius was so close minded. I don't know how much of his decision was about money and how much was about thinking it prevented people from learning real guitar, but it's a shame nonetheless
If anything guitar hero opened up the world of music to a lot of kids and got them interested in something they otherwise wouldn't have been interested in. How many kids followed through? Probably a small amount but it still stands that a lot of kids got a lot of exposure to the concept of picking up a guitar and having fun to the point they may have at least tried to do it for real.
@@jayphoenixcos3136 100% mate. Most other musicians understood that Guitar Hero made a whole lot of kids try learning an instrument. Prince just didn't really get it

Billion Dollar Babies is also exclusive to the Xbox 360 release if i remember right

Nope. On all consoles, for GH3 it is a 3 note chord (red, yellow, and blue.) The Smash Hits chart has the 5 note chord.

There's a WoR DLC song that's impossible to FC on all platforms but the Wii, because of a corrupted note.
Sustains would still drop if you paused in GH3. They never let you hold sustains on a pause til WT.
GH Smash Hits was renamed to Greatest Hits in Europe & Australia. Here in the UK we had Smash Hits magazine which might be one of the reasons for the name change.

Bonus fact: the Rhythm charts in GHM weren't for potential Full Band gameplay, they were purely for JH's fretting hand animations, as fretting animations were always automated based on the chart, rather than mocap, and Activision didn't know how to approach it besides making another chart for JH

I don’t know exactly how true the same old song and dance fact is I recall Steve Ouimette saying in an interview something along the lines of joe Perry’s son got into guitar hero so Aerosmith asked if they could put a song in the next guitar hero and Steve argued despite the fact that it’s pretty much his job to make covers the original is always better

On the "Thunderstrike" note at the end of the Smash Hits chart of Raining Blood. Not only is it the only 5 note chord AND a sustain, but it's also, for some reason, the only single note star power phrase in an official chart (unconfirmed) AND the only star power, and the only star power phrase at the very end of a song. No idea why they did that, but man is it fun to hit the note, whammy the star power, activate star power, and keep whammying until the song ends.
Actually Cheat on The Church's first Star power phrase is only 1 note as well, think GH 1 has a few more but thats the most prominent one i can think of.

I just tested, and I FCed Generation Rock on medium on gh3 ps2. So I dunno why it would be considered unfcable. The explanation "forcing attempting to occur" also went over my head. Got gold stars and everything. Explain pls?
it may be only on the xbox 360 version, forcing is when a hopo becomes a strum when it shouldn't naturally - when that happens on no note, it makes a fake note which can't be hit.

If you ever do a sequel to this, the Easy chart of Holy Wars: the Punishment Due on GH:WoR was one blue note. To my knowledge, this is the only song in the series with this quirk. (probably irrelevant, but I played the Wii version of this game, so if the charts are different on other versions for some reason that might help).

I believe the only two songs with 4 notes chords are I'm the One on expert guitar (GHVH) and go that far on expert bass (GH3)

They're actually called rainbow notes. They can be played as open notes, but you can still fret them, so not actually open notes.

If I remember correctly the same applies for the guitar hero 3 arcade editions too, the tip is “no need to fret, just strum” so likely it displays fretting but doesn’t check for it at all. I used to have WT so I sadly can’t test this right now

gh3's active hit window is effectively 100ms for things above 40nps, CH's active hit window is usually 100 for most players, though people with negative video settings can make use of the full 140ms ch has
