- Welcome Traveler. One missing Red-haired unit is coming after another. With Levina it's kind of like we have experienced with another unit which came out a little too late - meanwhile people call it the "Cecily-Syndrome". For the first time around the Elite Tower she would've had her reason to be pulled but somehow SE didn't take their chance. But is she still strong enough to be pulled nowadays?

Since her banner stays for three week, there is no hurry for me to decide if I want to pull. I'll see what the Tavern Talk have for us first.
that's very good to know! so everyone has plenty enough time to decide whether or not to pull for her regarding the tavern talk and even what's about to come one week later!
With bosses leaning more towards 1 or 2 huge dmg dealers with more and more supports, I think it's a good idea to save for the support units like Solon and crew and pull only those super strong damage dealer characters :\, esp as f2p when we have zero rubies after Bargello lol
so tomorrow is the end of her banner, what's the upcoming banner? is it another MT characters?
no one knows sadly :/ would be cool to know so you can spend your rubies with more care. but well that's how gachas go right ;)

Since SEA server had just Edea, Adelle, and Elvis (the Bravely Default collab) this Thursday, should I change Sigrid to Edea? And for Betrand (planning to change him with Z'aanta or H'aanit) and Devin should I wait for the next character?

I can't tell you if edea fits in your team as I don't have her myself :D zaanta is way better then Bertrand, you should switch it out :3 and Devin is very powerful A3 until you need a stronger tank which gilderoy will represent with the right equip some day
@@free2PlayerCotC I already put Gilderoy in the main team, tbh. And if I have to wait another Merchant class character to replace Devin (although Devin is too good to be replaced, tbh), fo you have any character in mind?

Did a courtesy 100 paid gem pull and got her. There goes my luck for the next few months lol. Now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do with her

I have begun my saving phase for Oerstead. I want to pull him above all else. I’m at 750~ rubies so I still have a lot of saving to do so skip
I am a new player (3 days old account) and I got the two characters on the current free five step-up banner. I have 1300 rubies saved (I progressed through story quite quickly - I am at the final Pardis fight - Master of all chapter 8). Is it best to wait for another step up banner to get a guaranteed 5 star? How common are these free step up banners?
this time around, they are very rare. earlier they were more often - but the step ups are not as good as they only have filler rolls robbing rubies from you while waiting for bigger banner releases. just keep an eye out for the upcoming memory travelers if your interested in units with really high value and stats.
@free2PlayerCotC Step ups at least guarantee a 5 star at the end. With other banners, I can spend all my rubies and still not get a 5 star character. Maybe these characters are not as strong as the others, but I'd take lower risk and slightly lower rewards any day, so I guess I'll wait for another step up. As far as I know, eventually, if I pull enough, I can get the character that I want via the exchange system, but that costs way more than 1200 rubies. I thought that step ups are a once in a month thing.
guaranteed 5 stars were once featured characters, too. so you way of spending is totally fine :D if you started anew then having more 5 stars to choose from is always the best idea - otherwise having very very powerful units for your roster makes up for lacking more 5 stars. the choice is yours:3 ah and as long as you have 4500 rubies, you can spark the featured unit so you get it 100%. and doing 150 pulls will surely give you some general pool 5* along the way.
@free2PlayerCotC Oh, there's 4500 pity? Interesting. Anyway, I decided to just pull for Levina and got her and Falco within 4 pulls. I didn't have a 5 star scholar. That was probably not the best idea because it could've gone much worse - I just got lucky. But my roster so far is good enough to clear most of the game's content, so I could afford to be a bit more liberal with my spending. So, on a normal featured banner, summons worth of 4500 rubies can guarantee the featured character? That's very useful to know, though it certainly means having to save for much longer than I would have to if I pulled on step ups. As far as I know, the average rubies income for f2p players per month is about 800, so to get to pity, it takes about 6 months. I think that the chance to get a step-up banner in 6 months is pretty high, and for the price of a normal pity, you can get 3-4 5 star characters. It seems more rational from a purely mathematical point of view, but this would be somewhat counter-balanced by the superiority of normal banner characters that you mentioned. I am rather unsure about how I should approach summoning in this game now... In any case, it seems a bad idea to summon when I do not have enough summons to hit pity or reach the 5th step in a step-up, but which one of the two I should focus on is a bit hard to figure out. Anyway, thanks for all the useful information. I am still learning. The only thing I really know is that I definitely enjoy the game.
additionaly: 4500 for most of the "Memory Traveler" Banner and 6000 for a standard, sacred blaze, Collab or "champion of memories" banner. there are maybe more to come but that's the main idea here.
I was so hyped by Levina's comming but after giving a look to her kit... she is not that impressive, I hoped more of her skills to exploit lightning weaknesses...sadly the only one with that is Single target and REALLY expensive
and her ultimate. but that's a weak excuse. I feel you.

well every company wants to earn money :/ that's the strategy behind gacha games and I've heard that there are some which are way more greedy.
I feel like she's worse than scholar Alaune. And no one was pulling for Alaune. She's neat to have but there are plenty of substitutes.

I pulled because I like her, but not in her banner, in the anniversary selection and I'm happy with her. She isn't OP but very versatile ( healer - regen - debuffer - attacker ).
