- As I mentioned in my Orc units tierlist, Witch Doctor has some of the best abilities in the game, but it's hard to make him viable, but, Healing Ward's mana cost just got reduced by a decent amount! So let's see what we can do with this new Doctor!

As a kid in the 2000s I did three things : mass taurens, spam heal wards and bloodlust.

I played mostly on RoC as I got the expansion a bit late but yes, I would use spirit walkers.
Once I finished the main TFT campaigns I mostly played the RPG Orc campaign, I was so addicted to it, then WoW came out.

Grubby marking down the land he owns with sentry wards and stasis traps.
Too bad his opponent is a lawless criminal that swept in to steal the shiny treasures out from Grubby's hands, thus they will not abide by the clearly defined sentry ward and stasis trap borders.
Every time Grubby plays mass witch doctors, I never have a restful night's sleep. The brain keeps arguing for hours if they're saying "You seek me help?" or "You sick, me help!"
Luckily this was posted on the weekend so I don't have to go into work with bloodshot eyes again.

🐒Hello! Thanks, and could you try :
1) 3x Shaman + Bloodlust --> Hide them in the middle of the map... don't use them to fight as they will not be able to follow your futur raiders
2) Grunts, into full Raiders that are faster
3) With 25% Speed --> Roam the map, from main enemi base to second base, to defend... then go back to the 3x Shaman to refresh the buffs
4) Tauren Chieftain + Endurance Aura 20% Speed if possible later.
4') Shadow Hunter first hero ? for Healing Wave --> For quick heals, before going back to harass + huge value on your first grunts. You don't want direct fights, but back-up heal and go harass.
4'') If possible, no Far Seer, as it has no directe value on your raiders.
5) Raiders don't do much damage, but with Lightning Shield --> They just rush to melee and compensate the damage with it.
6) With training -- Make 2 groups of raiders... Attacking in right and left flank --> When the enemy army chase your raider, you attack with the other group.

no shamans but what about spirit walkers here, they also can dispel illusions, revive taurens immune to physical dmg (that's all what blademaster has) and also since their dispel is aoe it could help you dispel bloodlust

Perma stuns + healing and spirit link + revive Tauren if you have walker.

Hi grubby. Watching your video makes me feel like playing wc3 again but i got a few questions
1. Is this wc reforged with classic graphic? Or a different client altogether?
2. If it's wc reforged, any reason not to use reforge graphic? Is it personal preference or it still have a lot of technical issue?

1. reforged. They use 2 clients, battlenet and w3champions, one is official, other is fanmade, but has a bunch of qol, like watching real time games and showing how many peons are on goldmine.
2.refoged graphics are usually trash, its very laggy and you cant see anything in the middle of the battle, all unities are similar to each other, the colors are awful.

I always see Grubby using Farseer and think "I need to Farseer more". And then every single game still go Blade lol
That defensive position at the end was so sick, such a shame.
My sub bronze idea is to go UD dread > lich. Carrion swam nova to kill everything. Couple spider/min number of ghouls.

Ouch on that BM item steal in the beginning of the video. In creeping situations, is the item always more valuable then the experience? Would it have been better for him to risk the item in order to last hit the minion and steal the experience?
It depends. On items like that I would rather get the guaranteed item before the enemy reacts. On lower tier creeps it's fine to risk it. Ofc if blade had higher lvl ww I would risk trying to both last hit and item steal

Grubby tried to givehis army:
- Momentum + regroup time for healing a little for countering the lack of dps
- save the expansion
- wait a little his own army equal opponent army pop by getting other Taurens finally spawn and join in the fight
Mass caster is always a slightly bad strat since they are always bad against mass any other units with casters support. Only human can go mass caster because of archmage, but even that is falling out of style, right?
Didnt like those speed buffs, they were specifically bad for Orc. I mean, Orc can use Speed Scroll, maybe all they had to do was make SS undispelable and maybe Taurens would shine.
What they could have done is increase their attack speed, while decreasing their damage; would mean more Pulverize procs.

This game shows the exact reason why I never got into WC3 back in the days: The blademaster. It doesn't matter if he's not the best hero, it doesn't matter if there's counters. Wind walk is single handedly the most obnoxious and broken ability in low level matches. Back then, you could abuse this thing so hard it wasn't even funny, and honestly I preferred just quitting the game entirely over having to deal with it. It also doesn't help that at lower ranking, it is one of the easiest hero to play (low requirement for skill casting + passive crit)

It's done only with Orc, since you need the burrow for damage. Other races don't really have a reason to drag the golem into their base

@@kyrudo You probably could, but people generally don't, since you can just bring your militia to the camp instead. Trapping the golem in the base usually requires you to have a bit of a wonky base layout, and it can be finnicky, so it's not without its downsides either

Taurens running around like fools, not EVER hitting is the saddest thing.
Mass Witch Doctors has always felt like a trap to me, they just don't pull their weight in combat relative to their population cost. Getting a single Witch Doctor for Sentry Wards can be okay, and you can MAYBE justify one or two Master Doctors in a long game without a Shadow Hunter for healing up your army out of combat.
Shamans can slow, dispel and potentially Bloodlust; Spirit Walkers have three useful spells and a powerful autoattack. Witch Doctors are a waste of supply in combat; Stasis Trap is unreliable, and even when you pull it off, you can't take advantage of the stun due to their puny autoattack. They're a terrible unit to mass, and a small buff to Healing Ward won't change that.
Yeah witch doctors are a small utility unit that borders on luxury you can't afford most of the times. I honestly think healing ward should be their basic ability, sentry ward first upgrade and stasis their 2nd one. And massively improve stasis
Why not make a couple of Spirit Walkers and get rid of the bloodlust ? You can't just fight against 40% magical support and bigger army.

Not enough of a difference, the problem Grubby had was not having enough power against high level BM and SH, taurens already did their job against the rest of the opponent's army
