APOLLO ALPHA H1 VS RALCO SPEED BLASTER 🏍️ BEST TYRES FOR DOMINAR KTM 390 IN 2021

APOLLO ALPHA H1 and RALCO SPEED BLASTER seemed like a good choices since NEW Tyre options in 2021 is limited due to import restrictions. I was looking for best touring tyres for my Dominar I wanted to go for the Metzeler Tourance or the Scorpion Rally STR but those tyres were atleast 2 yrs old stock. The APOLLO ALPHA H1 and RALCO SPEED BLASTER though are not in the same category seemed to fit my need of long distance touring since they come in Front 110/70-17 and Rear 150/60-17. Having personally used the apollo over few thousand km now. I am really in love with the new handling capabilities of the bike.
Pro: 1. Its more easier to bend around corners and sticks to the road really well. 2. I felt small road patch work or pot hole is dampened really well.
Cons: 1. I did tend to loose my front end handling few times over loose sand when i tried to change my directions suddenly. It could be because tyres are new and need to run and become a little flat or I was little too fast around corners, when changing direction. 2. I already had a slash cut on the tyre when offroading and I beleive this is due to soft rubber. But its just superficial, I mean not too deep. Nothing which can be done.
Whatever said, this tyre really makes me grin and push for speed.

my personal experience... Dual sport tyres are best suited for Indian roads. You don't corner daily but you face bad roads and gravels daily...!!

Please stay away from the Ralco, poor dry/wet tarmac performance. Average to mediocre off road performance, extremely short tyre lifespan. Met with an accident when on this tyre due to low traction. If you want dual purpose, suggest you go for the MRF Revz D/FD, apollo tramplr or if you have money to spare, the pirelli scorpions rally.
