As you know I have used all four possible windshield. Started with original one for Int, moved onto the Himalayan. They had the Carbon Racing and not using the one from InScape.
So far, I liked the Carbon Racing the most, however the rods that were attached to the handlebar made me uncomfortable.
The InScape which I am using currently, I would know more about it once I have completed my trip.
I will update on the same.

Hello Lancy, just like any other dual-purpose tires, Ralco also performs satisfactorily. I have ridden thru slush, knee-deep streams, puddles, etc. I have had no loss of control.
Hence, I would like to assume that they also have a decent grip over wet surfaces.

Hello Mr. Som. I have a BS6 Interceptor with the Ceats. I have faced many punctures on them and I’m pretty much tired. Are the Ralcos better in terms of puncture resistance?
    Regards

    • @WanderingSom
      @WanderingSom  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hello Samiran,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Ceat, especially if they are the stock tires. The stock ones often have a lower thickness than aftermarket ones of the same brand. Ralco, being a hard compound tire, tends to be less susceptible to punctures.
It might be worth considering a switch to alloys or, at the very least, getting tubeless conversion done. In January, I opted for the Way2Speed conversion and found it beneficial.
I hope these insights are helpful. Ride safe!

Have these tyres on my interceptor at the moment, front and rear .
    My honest review below:
    1. They lack grip and are skidding on loose sand and even good roads
    2. They make cornering effort harder, but grip is okay during conering
    3. They wobble beyond 120/130kmph and feel uncomfortable doing higher speeds.
    4. Vibration and bumps are felt a lot during rides.
Honestly waiting for them to wear out, so that I can switch back to stock Ceats. The ceats feel so planted and grippy after riding on these ralcos.
Only pros I can think of is looks and prices.

Hi Som After looking at your convincing videos on Ralco tyres , i am now convinced that these are best for my Blaster too. I could not figure out whether the front and rear tire are the same ( i.e.. Speed Blaster) Btw i could make out in the video that you are using PRELOAD ADJUSTERS , want to know which ones are they and how's their performance. Do preload adjusters make the difference in the front suspension and how does it effect cornering etc. TIA.

    • @WanderingSom
      @WanderingSom  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello Sanjay,
Both are F&R are Speed Blaster and of different profile ... as per the stock. The funny part is that the tire that goes onto the front, is actually a Rear tire for some other bike. Just that the profile is an exact match for the Int and hence it is used.
Yes, I have been using the pre-loader and I have been not so happy with the performance. If you were to use a slightly heavier fork oil, there is would be a significant enhancement in the performance. You could go for 15W and it's good.
Hope I am able to answer you queries.
      Happy & safe riding.

I used MRF tires for my last trip to Ladakh. They're dual-purpose tires.

Could you tell me which is the best tyre for rains? And whichever that is, how good would that be on tarmac, or on gravel, or mud or slush, etc.
There is no perfect tyre that suites all riding conditions.
However, after having ridden for little over 20k on Ralco, it is relatively the most viable option that we have currently in India.
There are really good branded high-end tyres that come at cost in access of 30K. And it will last you the same length of 8-10K kms.
Hence, to me it didn't make any sense.

Nothing is permanent my friend. Nothing!
Ralco is the best amongst the options available currently for Interceptor & GT.
I have clocked about 15k on Ralco and I am quite satisfied.
Unlike the current stock (Ceat), Ralco is a tubeless tyre and it gives you the option to have the Tubeless Conversion done. You may use Outex or Way2Speed, whichever fits your budget.
Most importantly, if you are into touring, you must learn to fix basic problems of the bike ... including punctures.
