Was I the only one smiling during the entire astrodome performance? Everything came together perfectly, You could tell that Christian was enjoying the moment and giving her all. I’m still shook that they made sure she had a bandaid on her finger..the series definitely made sure that they got details right. From the performances to the outfits.

Yeah but they made up a lot in the series too like other than Chris Selena family didn’t attend the boutique opening and also the red Porsche was Chris and Selena had a black one but she liked the red one so her gave it to her
The ending made me cry even tho I already knew what was gonna happen. It’s so different compared to the movie ending, when suzette took a pic of Selena in the end yeah that got me crying lol they did such a great job on part 1 & part 2.

Idc if some people say she doesn't look like Selena. Christian put in the work to become Selena on screen and I for one think she did an amazing job.
It's your opinion but the dancing was way off. JLO spent months studying about Selena before doing this movie. ANd I felt they could have executed her death scene better.
@@vanessaebony529 jlo is a professional dancer back in the day people were mad she got the role because she looked nothing like Selena guess people forget, Serrato did a great job. Nobody can totally fill her shoes, she was charismatic, funny, nice, genuine, beautiful, great dancer, singer etc. Not even jlo. But they did a great job.
@@bellat4484 wrong. They were upset that Selena was being portrayed by a Puerto-Rican American, not because she looked nothing like her. Once JLO’s performance and likeness shined on-screen, she proved the critics wrong. Selena’s brother even said in an interview that Jlo looked so much like her sister that he even forgot for a moment what her sister actually looked like and I agree.
It's all about the story honestly not looks. I think she does kinda resembles a little to Selena.
@@LAQC1992 both actually, because she does not look anything like Selena in fact I think Serratos and jlo looked more alike each other when dressed as Selena from the 90s. The advantage jlo had is that she was already a Professional dancer (and the 🍑)

This parts that was never shown in the SELENA movie from 80s teenage years, outfits, and songs are finally getting royalty😌👏they deserve. Hopefully people will recognize it as they did from the movie.

I literally cried my eyes out in the last 20 min of the last episode . I had to take a nap after because I was literally so sad and drained . Cristian did amazing as Selena .

Wow! She did an amazing job by getting Selena’s moves down to a T! I have watched the last concert so so many times and I love how well Christian performed here! She portrayed Selena so well! I personally enjoyed the series more than the movie. Both great in the own way but I love that the series tells more and gives more details about Selena’s life. ❤️

Ahh I love this series!! She did so well as Selena I recommend if you haven’t watched this yet definitely watch, the cast are all such great actors!! And again, Christian was incredible as Selena it’s not easy but we really need to credit her for her hard work she’s so talented and her smile looks very similar to Selena! I love it ❤️❤️

I remember this performance back in the year of 1995. The astrodome concert was my most favorite, other then the other concerts like with the movie the Carcacha part was Crazy, como la flor is a Speical scene! Bidi Bom Bom and Baila Está Cumbia scene are good too. But the astrodome was my most favorite and the concert will always be the last concert to me. The concert was iconic, the moves. The songs, and Los Dinos. Selena y Los Dinos was an amazing band. Christian, Jesse, Noemi, and the rest of the cast, you’ve don’t a great job. Everyone has done like so good! The series taught me everything, like the film and real life. It’s like the actual journey!
I was hysterically crying at the final scene of the show!! When Suzette takes that iconic picture of Selena 🥺 the legacy Selena left will forever be so inspiring & moving ❤️
That scene literally gave goosebumps all over! Brought me to tears. Truly iconic perfection. She did become her during that scene. I rewatched it so many times. 💔🌷😭

They even got the jacket scene, when it wouldn’t come off, perfectly!!!! I think she looked the most like Selena in this scene.
At first i didn’t like christain playing Selena but now that i watched season 2 and this i now love her!
I just watched the second season and I just finished it and I cried at the end when it showed the part that she wants to be remember as a good daughter, a good sister, a good friend, a good wife that part made me cry so much and the fact that I' love to listen to Selena songs now in 2021 all I got to say is that it's a good, amazing, insperational, and emotional show cause it shows what happened to selena in real life.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😭

I loved this series so much. She did such an amazing job portraying selena. Didn't think anyone could top jlo but she did. It'll be on my binge watch list for as many times as I can watch and it's available.
Ik that ppl are mad because she doesn’t look like Selena but this just proves the hard work & dedication Christian put in the series , she gets so much hate & honestly doesn’t get enough credit , the fact that she memorize every detail that Selena did she nailed this performance ! Props to her 👏🏽

Cried through this whole episode, her last interview made me break down, and then finding out none of her family besides her brother had heard her recording of “Dreaming of You” when they listened, man! I was a mess through the whole episode. And loved the subtitles so I could enjoy the meaning behind the songs, loved it all.
Netflix, the Astrodome scene was perfection. I wish the entire series had the love and care that this scene had. Don't get me wrong, I love Christian and the the work that was done, but I'm not sure they had the full support of Netflix (I have a feeling they didn't get the budget that you're giving The Crown, yet they brought in about as many viewers).
Seeing the Selena series make me see even moreso how life can change on a dime! And if Yolanda gets released from prison when that year comes, it will be that much more sad about Selena's short life. The only justice for Selena is to leave that phycopath Yolanda to rot in prison.
Yolanda is safer is prison than out. Cause when she comes out she might get killed

idc what anyone says christian played selena amazingly!! she captures the brightness that selena had in her especially in these behind the scenes moments, maybe she doesn’t completely look like her but that’s not the point

I can't wait till the series HOPEFULLY goes to DVD I will buy it in a heartbeat as I do the selena shirts. i remember when I could watch her video she did in the desert , I believe on MTV, where she wore a guys white shirt , I've been a fan ever since. I've started watching the 2nd part of the series and I haven't cried yet, but watching this video did make me cry. I still can't get over what an awful and senseless thing that happen to a sweet young lady that didn't deserve it.

this series was done so well. Huge round of applause for the entire cast and crew. The ending truly was so emotional, even though we already know what happens. I was still in tears. You really felt it.
They recreated the Astrodome concert so well in both this series and the 1997 film. Both Christian and J Lo did an amazing job honoring Selena's legacy and this iconic concert little did we know would be her last major public televised.
FUN FACT: In the 1997 film, the Astrodome concert was actually filmed at the Alamodome in St. Antonio. Thousands of Selena fans showed up to be part of recreating it.

I think she did a great job as well. It can't be easy to play an icon like Selena and I think Christian really did well in the lip-syncing and the moves. I hear the comparison to JLo, but Christian made Selena her own and did it well. Great job Christian! Finished watching the whole series and it was great. I loved the second part bc of the details. Although it left out the egg ring, everything else was pretty realistic by allowing us to see some of the family's reactions to the marriage for one and a few other details like Beyonce meeting her at the mall, which I thought was great and a nice touch.
One more thing tho... I have noticed on her grammy speech she forgot to mention Chris but when I saw the actual video of selena's speech and if I recall she did mentioned chris and the 'you guys wouldn't be booing if I was married to one of y'all' was said during that speech as she was talking about Chris and the audience started booing, it wasn't said at that one concert (idk where they were performing at but it was the part where she was introducing the band, this was after she wedded Chris). The movie with j.lo showed that perfectly but the series seemed to have mixed it up or something so I was confused....

Every detail is so great! Unfortunately something the Jenny Rivera series couldn’t do. I’m a huge fan of both but Mariposa Del Barrio focused too much on the family outshining who we really wanted to know about but this series did both!!

I was 3 when this performance happened so i don't remember it or what happened after but i grew up hearing about Selena and hearing her music so im so glad that Neflix took on her story.
The astrodome was my favorite I loved it so much they did detailed detailed they even had Christian wear a Band-Aid like Selena

The end got me. Who else did it get so bad. AB putting a hole in his burger, and all of them just breaking down. It was all so sad, and the worst part is that it isn’t fictional and there are people out there like Selena, just as much as there are people like Yolanda.
Christian did an amazing job no matter how much people criticize her figure, Selena era un reina, she was incredible unic and the show proved that again and again I specially love how they showed how much Selena loved everyone, how honest she was and her pasión for creating, obviously I cried like a baby in the end.
