2nd Infantry Division in Havlovice (Domažlice), Czechoslovakia; May 5, 1945

Soldiers of the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division crossed into the modern border of the Czech Republic - then commonly called Czechoslovakia - on May 5, 1945. This footage was shot on that same day at Havlovice (called Hawlowitz in German) near the city of Domažlice. The objective of the 2nd ID was Plzeň, which it reached the next day.
These are two clips that have been edited together as they are not spliced back-to-back in the original scan from the archives.
