your hunting ethics are a good example!!
Agreed, I can't stand "Hunters" like keith warren and such.
@@aryanpashtun416 you can't even imagine the lows of post-soviet countries hunters
half of them are drunk during hunt. they are terrible shots. so there's lots of wounded animals. savage
@@mykolatkachuk7770 Oh no, that's Nyet Harasho.
@@mykolatkachuk7770 ah yes because only post-soviet countries drink and hunt
@@aryanpashtun416 yup, its funny tho. One half are drunken idiots and the other are like our
favorite Hungarian black powder hunter!
Cap and ball and British muzzle loaders in 30 minutes it's my lucky day
The two quality black powder ytbers lol
Agreed 👍👍👍
Nice to see an 300 year old muzzleloader in action, in the hands of a good huntsman!
I have also, but can't use because its prohibited।
Oh boy! Ive been waiting for you to take that little guy out and shoot it again! Even more excited its a hunt!
Such a beautiful countryside! I really like the equipment you use. Also, I like that you combine ethics and tradition during your hunt. Thanks for the adventure.
damn , i know this sounds realy stupid but thats real hunting , you go track it for hours and sneak up to it on open field what a dedication ....its the way that makes the journey not the target
And this is why I love Balazs's videos.Love for rifles, and love and respect for animals. So different from other hunters who are smiling after killing the animal. This is close as it gets to the Elk hunt in the Last of the Mohicans.Thank you dear Balazs.
Beautiful video. Thank you for being such an articulate and honorable representative for hunting & firearms.
Well said friend. =)
I am quite late, so I dont know, if you are even reading this.
I am a huge wild life fan, and especially roedeer are my absolute favourite animals. So it always hurts to see them going down. But the way you pay your respect to them, the way you honour your prey is really outstanding. I wish, more hunters would be this way. Would certainly make this easier for people like me too. So, thanks for the honor that you pay to these animals!
Really looking forward to the liver and onions 🧅 video! These old customs are fascinating-very curious to know more.
Haven't hade that since 1978 my mom she could cook eneything good😚🤗
we used to have liver and onions at my house regularly growing up in USA in the 50's
i haven't had it since my mom passed away years ago
Also interesting with the tradition of the twigs. Feels almost animistic.
I love seeing these guns in action. The Jager rifle is simply one of the most elegant hunting rifles, period.

Damn son, half a dozend moskitos on one hand, i bet that really helps with a steady aim.
:D definitely! my neck and hands are still itching
I just discovered your channel. I love watching you hunt and greatly appreciate the respect and appreciation you show for your firearms and for the animals you take with it. Your cameraman does a SUPERB job and richly deserves recognition.
I'd love to see an entire video on the Hungarian hunting ethics and tradition!
I will cover that later. The Hunting culture of my country is the common Central European/Germanic tradition.
I want to move to Hungary. Beautiful. Thanks C&B. Waidmannsheil!
Weidmannsdank!
As traditional as you can go. Just beautiful.
Waidmannsheil!
PS: To imitate the female call that might bring in the buck, this can also be done in a most perfect way by the help of a leaf that is cut into shape or with a blade of grass held lengthwise under tension between the thumbs, blowing on the sharp edge of the leaf. But my guess is that even the oldtimers 200 years ago at times would have used some specially made device, similar to the one in this video.
I tried that as well, and it did work, as you said. I use the plastic staff so I can focus on the gun and camera.
I love these videos. My state (West Virginia) has a special hunting season (Mountaineer Heritage season) limited to traditional style muzzle loaders, longbows, or recurve bows. I'm looking at getting a flintlock so I can hunt that season.
Thank you for sharing your hunt. I like your traditions for the fallen animal. We all should give respect for the animals we take. No high fence. Just stalk and hunt. Beautiful.
Thanks for another great video.A clean shot and showing respect for the game.I agree that hunting with a muzzleloaders has its ups and downs, whether using my rifles or shotgun.I have found that putting some game in the bag is that little bit more rewarding because of the skills used in stalking and using a muzzleloader and for the memories it leaves behind.
I love the way you show respect to the game, if I have the chance I will do the same from now on.👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My father was a hunter and it is tradition here in Austria as well to give the animal its "last bite" as a sign of respect.
Wow very cool brother thank you for sharing your adventure and hello from Detroit Michigan USA Great video
hello from across the river in Windsor, ON man =)
This is absolutely beautiful
Love your channel always have you should do a segment on 1889 schmidt k 31 and g 11 I love strait pull rifles I know other people have done it but your wealth of knowledge is far superior and then shoot each because no one ever shows ballistic difference cartridge difference you it's a big part of history
I am going to use your posts to teach my American grandchildren about hunting and showing respect for the fallen game.
Those hunting traditions deserve respect. Many of the indigenous tribes of North America would also pay tribute to fallen game. It contrasts with those trophy pictures of guys holding the head up by the antlers for the “hero shot.”
In the USA, most muzzleloading weapons aren’t legally considered fire arms. They are almost completely unregulated.
Same thing in France, to purchase a black powder muzzle loading weapon, you just need to be 18+
Other guns are more regulated 😭
Unless you're in another dependency, like ohio, NJ God help you, Cali, Illinois.....it's ridiculous....
New Jersey has tough black powder regulation's, all most like any other firearm. But then it is a communist state and getting worse. I did just two black powder sawed off black powder shotguns which can be shipped right to your home. The company is called American Gun Craft and they are the coolest. americanguncraft.com
@@richardcolligon4277 New Jersey is also old enough that black powder firearms would’ve been predominant when they would’ve been considering regulations.
@@1lobster New Jersey still has parks where their are old foundries. New Jersey, Connecticut, and other's were big mfg states but they are all communist now.
It's October again, and you know what that means. It's time for me to unreasonably want a classic flintlock rifle to hunt with, and watch all of your hunting videos.
Thanks for taking us on the hunt again! Another very touching and inspiring video.
Hope you enjoyed the livers with onions. ;)
What a respectful way to send off a creature to the pearly gates
You are a true hunter. You honor the animal and in so doing, you show honor to yourself.
Flies and mosquitoes fly so much that I myself brushed them off when I looked)))
Seriously though, the video is awesome, just like I went hunting myself!)) Nothing, in a couple of weeks I have a vacation ...))))
As they say here in Russia - С ПОЛЕМ! (WITH THE FIELD!)
Awesome rifle and good channel, well done thank you for the time you put, into each video.
As alway, another good video showing your love of BP hunting.
The smallest deer we have in New Zealand is the fallow, but I wish we had the Roe and Muntjac deer like Europe too.
More hunting videos please, i.e. waterfowling, pheasants, plus pigs and deer.
Awesome video, beautiful buck. Can't wait to see more as the cooler weather gets here!
I find it fascinating how you pay your respect for the fallen game with branches.
A beautiful hunt, thank you for sharing with us
Another high quality video. I am always happy when I see you have a new video. Thanks
Wow what a lovely rifle !
And another lovely video showing off the natural beauty of your country. I really love it when Video channels promote their local areas to the rest of the world. YES it really makes me want to come to visit Hungary thats a sign of well done video. Props to you and your camera person.
Go. The Hungarians are wonderful people, the country is beautiful.
Another outstanding and respectful hunt. You worked hard for that one. Makes it more rewarding. This channel is the gold standard for black powder.
Great video! Thanks for taking us along with you!
Congrats my friend! Good job on the video editing as well. Really loved the atmosphere sound, that helped me to fell like i'm standing with you by the bales. Also the buck is gorgeous! Keep up the good work!
Thank you for another beautiful hunting video - especially now that summer seems so long ago.
Another beautiful video, Balasz!
Always love seeing a new video from ya! Howdy from Virginia.
Great hunt with a wonderful muzzleloader sir! Beautiful !
On all the videos on this channel i like the hunting ones the most. Awesome stuff!
You exemplify excellent hunting ethics and shooting skill, keep up the good work.
Good that the rear sight drifted out right so far and the buck was standing in right direction. On old guns it will usually always drift out right, if to loose, since they made dovetails and pins conical from right to left. I would glue it in place so that this beautiful piece of history can be unchanged a trustful hunting tool.
I truly enjoy your hunting and shooting videos, and always learn some thing , Thank You .
Brilliant video in every aspect, l have spent time there in the past and was impressed with the friendliness of the people 👍👍👍
what a beautiful hunt, video, music. thank you
Those bales have been out there forever- that can make very good hay.
Always look forward to ALL your videos. And another great one. Makes me want to come hunt in Hungary.
Your hunting videos make me want to get into hunting myself. My grandfathers old Winchester Model 70 in .270 Winchester is perfect for medium game like deer and boar.
I always love your relaxing hunting videos. Keep up the great work!
Gratulálok! Szép bak és szép lövés volt egy ilyen gyönyörű antik fegyverrel!
Excellent video as usual, hunting with a black powder rifle is a dream
Is it illegal in your area? In general I think it's actually cheaper than modern fire arms no?
The first shot that missed was like a rice in a plate just rolled down before even having one spoon🤣🤣🤣
Nway.. that was really exciting watching this video... Really original...
wonderful hunting video as always with an old but beautiful weapon
Always a wonderful video. The last bite is a great solemn tradition we should teach our children. I imagine the liver and onions are delicious. I am looking forward to that video too.
Beautiful day, beautiful country, beautiful rifle. Life is good.
Excellently put to gether video
Excellent video. I had a similar experience this hunting season in my region of the Hudson valley of New York State with the whitetail deer. I was on an incline hike. Approximately 30° 100 yards in front of me was a buck and a doe together with their heads down eating and at that time I was hunting with a traditional 50-year-old 45 caliber percussion Hawkin rifle and took a shot hitting the buck as I track the blood trail. I totally lost sight and recovery of the animal spending hours and hours circling from close proximity, working my way out and no venison for me this year I was upset. Very upset but shooting with iron sights like you said is the biggest challenge and especially when you're wearing reading glasses to do it!!
This was utterly beautifull
wonderful video
Been waiting for a video. Amazing how relaxing it is to be away from the city. By hook or by crook I'm going deer hunting this year. Paid for the license already.
Amazing work as always and a beautiful show of hunting tradition!
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing your beautiful country and your hunting traditions.
Wonderful video. Great respect to you, shooter and cameraman. That is real hunting: Weidmannsheil!
Very well done. Much to see and enjoy.
Another excellent, interesting and informative video beautifully shot. Thanks.
Beautiful animal and a good shot. Well done sir
So much more rewarding than shooting an animal from 300 yds away with huge telescopic sight, a very ethical hunt, all to rare now unfortunately. Stay safe !
Excellent video, thank you!
Your crawling reminds me of a first "real jump-shoot duck hunt" I did in 2018. I crawled about that.. 150m to 200m on my belly in cold rain and mud dodging cow pies and cacti to get within the 40m max of a pond that had a pair of mallards on it. That one act alone made it one of the most memorable things I've done hunting. Me vs nature, who has evolved expertly to see any sort of motion, and I got one, so yay, but the physical & predatorial challenge of that crawl was fantastic. I'm sure you felt something akin to this too. Except you're in 30C+ on dry grass and I was in barely above 0 in mud. I don't know which would be worse :S
Spent may have only been an hour, but, felt like multiple hours stalking and crawling to get close to a beautiful 8 pt. Just to snap a photograph - too early for hunting season.
Later took a tasty young fork tined buck with a neck shot. A successful stalk seems to make it better, especially if it takes time.
Another great video. Thank you.
Awesome video. The camera work on this video was really, really good.
now invite us to the BBQ Ill bring the beer
A beautiful hunt, thank you.
People tend to think of the US as a epicenter for firearm rights and such. Thing is for the first 15 years or so of my hunting experience a caplock muzzleloader was the BEST choice I had for deer hunting. Due to regulations my choice was limited to shotguns firing slugs or a muzzleloader. Since the muzzleloader recoiled far less, was more accurate, cheaper to shoot and had a longer range it was my choice. In lines were available but I used a .54 cal side hammer. I still use it occasionally, even though the laws have changed and I can now use my Ruger No 1
What a well maintained land.
Good shot, good kill. No suffering.
Fantastic video, great shot. Hunting greetings from Poland, Darz Bór!
Nice shot
You are the best hunter i respect you ❤
Hi capandball, i follow your Channel since 5years, this is my first message, thank you very much for yours awsomeness vids.
Greeting from france
A beautiful hunt👍
Nice stalk and shot!
Great video yet again sir. I am currently on a hunt with my Pedersoli Missour River, hopefully it is the week for muzzleloader hunting success and a freezer of meat!
Have a good hunt!
Amazing. I also like how you pay respect to the deer. I would like to know more about your hunting traditions and rituals.
Absolutely lovely
Starting my sight in tomorrow!
Excellent hunt Balzas! 😁👏
Excellent video and I'm a big fan of liver & onions! The terrain you hunt bares a striking resemblance to the land here in Pennsylvania. I see various plants and trees that also grow here. The only difference is the animals and birds you have there in Hungary. (I think you have bigger rabbits!)

Feed the family lol ! Just killing a beautiful animal. He's loaded as hell not in need
@@mechanich1249 We actually eat the game I shoot. This is why you don't see a new hunting video on my channel each week.
@@capandball of course u did how else u can survive without it? Family must starve lol
@@mechanich1249 Do you eat meat?
If you're out hunting and see a bunny rabbit, it's always a good sign. I love to see them hopping away. Give the rabbit a silent hello.
Great hunting video, respect for the animal. I have taken deer with my .45/70 Sharps 1874 repro. Thank you for sharing.
