Any smooth bore shotgun can fire rifled slugs, but you don't want a choke any more constricted than a modified. In order to use sabo slugs you'd need a rifled "slug barrel", or at least a rifled choke tube in a smooth bore.
sabot slugs are for rifled slug barrels. Rifled slugs are for smooth shot barrels. Sabots look like regular rifle bullets rifled slugs have like spiral fins around it to make it spin
you dont need no fancy gel. A 12 gauge slug basically puts a hole in a deer big enough to almost put your fist in depending on shell length and slug weight
there are two types of shotgun, smoothbore and rifled. while both can shoot slugs, but the correct slug for the appropriate barrel must be selected. i.e.: rifled slug (for rifled barrel) or sabot slug ( for smoothbore barrel) cheers
I guess I miss the reason why shooting a obsolete non OPD propane tank is dishonest. It was my tank, my shotgun and my shells. (The landfill will not accept a old propane tanks without holes in them.)
you mean shot and it is only powerful at close range for small game. Slugs are more devastating then shot just because of their weight and huge kinetic energy
@fusionstar916 Not to be jerk but the heat from the deforming metal (i.e. hole formation), could possibly be enough to ignite the mixture (propane and oxygen). And metal vs metal (Lead/steel slug vs metal cylinder of compressed gas) could easily cause a spark. So in short, if it were full of propane it is possible that it would have exploded as TGAcodes had hoped. I admit it would be cool to see; but certainly dangerous!
I think jebustheone was talking about the comment xXVacantHeartXx made about wishing to see a human head hit with a shot gun. I don't want to see anyone get shot in my life. But a propane tank on the other hand... well I've posted here after watching haven't I?
LOOK AT THE HOLE IT LEAVES! mad video, love the sound too
the slow-mo just makes it!

I'd like to see another one of these with a full tank and a small fire built around it. :)

No, slug stayed in tank.
oh so propane tanks = good armor vs shotty
ty for the vid :)
lol

I feel sorry for anyone on the other side of that gun.
@fusionstar916 But the heat produced on the bullet after firing out of the chamber could.
pellets are to devestate and slugs are to penetrate
just like rifles they are to penetrate
and shotguns are to devestate
ya dude same here i clicked it like 10 times lol
shoulda put another one in the bottom when it rolled, lol
do it again but to a bigger, fuller tank, near some fire
bonded sabot slugs will make it blow up theres enough copper plate on them to creat a spark ive done it
you need an ignition source, lead cannot create sparks.

damn make a video with a full tank
ya, ole hank hill just shit himself,"i tell you wat.","destruction of propane and propane accessories should be an act of terrorism."
@fusionstar916

now put propane in it
.22 rim fires bounced off, .223 make the small holes.

now with gas lol
cant they use steel shot? never saw the episode in case, but steel shot seems obvious
nice
it not that bad. It can cause brain damage, though.
hmm.lets patch the holes and fill it full of water THEN shoot at it and show the real power of a 12ga.
did that go through both sides?
shoulda shot a full one, KA-BOOOOOOOM!!!!!
ok, wheres the propane
Filled with propane but full of holes?
yah like in Mythbusters..
a tip thats on flame?
did you seriously just say that?
tracers? if your gonna spend money for them you might as well go ahead and buy inciendary rounds lol
how is that arm..lol..they dont call them "slugs" for nuthin
they are fun as hell to shoot, as long as the arm holds up
lol lets get hank hill out htere to watch you hit tht tank. (try and use a tracer bullet on a full propane tank to make it explode)
no boom? =(
oh lol
it made the largest hole. (^_^)
no shit. look in the beginning, there like 20-something holes in it.
