When Souness went to work for Irish TV it was eye-opening. We all had this wrong image of him as a bit anti Irish because he was ex rangers n proud of it.....but he was such an amazing pundit....very fair, frank and so insightful...that he quickly won the hearts of the nation... He also was amazed with what he could get away with saying on Irish TV which was more free flowing than in the beeb or itv.
I also remember him as the only pundit to question the trappatoni appointment for Ireland. Dunphy as usual jumped on the bandwagon much later.

However, it was way too short. For my liking. Simon, maybe you could schedule another episode with Graeme at some point? He has a very storied career. More details on his playing days and those that played alongside him.
And also more information about his challenges as a manager, would be interesting and justified.
Graeme, if you happen to read these comments, I urge you to try and stay in football media. I’ve always found you interesting and value your opinions. Please don’t disappear!
I was a kid in the 70s and like all my mates could be seen walking around with a fistful of Panini cards and your moustachioed Face was always one that I remember. And all the great achievements of the Liverpool sides of that era, going into the early 80s.

I watched many games when he was manager and despite the sun story, always supported him. He did inherit an ageing team though contrary to what he said, the team won the league in 1990 and he joined April 1991, and at the time were challenging for the league. He always admitted he made too many changes but people do forget he did also bring through some very good young players. A legend in every sense!

Can i just say this is the best content out there at the minute. The Humility and emotion in the interview is something. I didnt like Souness before watching this and can say my opinions changed of the guy. Fair play.

Graeme was my 1st footballing hero and he’s still the best captain of any football team I’ve ever seen. He comes across as a man who’d tell you his truth and you can like it or lump it. I wish him all the luck in the next part of his life and hope to see him do a few more podcasts revealed some stories I’ve yet to hear

As a Celtic always disliked Sounness for obvious reasons but you cant help but respect the man. Love his views on modern day football and his no nonsense approach.

Another great episode; keep them coming, Simon. Got me at the end when Graeme was talking about the work of the charity, DEBRA, whom I’d not previously heard of. I followed this up by visiting their website and making a donation.

Hi - was really excited to watch this however turned it off after 25 mins as I could not concentrate with the presenter talking over the top of the guest. Honest feedback - allow the guest to answer a question without butting in. Thank you

So glad I've found this channel. I've been binge watching over the last week or so and this was another great interview. Souness for me, along with Keane has been one of the most enjoyable pundits to watch over the last 10 years or so. Says it how it is.

One of the legends of the game from an era of legends. He's a great talker, very interesting. Unfortunately the interviewer butted in slightly too much, I wonder if he styles his technique on piers Morgan, maybe souness and Jordan are too pally. Very watchable interview all the same....souness done him at the end which was enjoyable 😉
